A most comfortable, relaxing atmosphere with old world charm and modern conveniences abound in the Palacio Solecio, which has the added bonus of being in the center of the historic district. The staff are friendly, helpful, and most considerate, making a guest feel very special. The breakfast was delicious with a buffet and a menu from which to order a number of choices including eggs, spinach, mushrooms, and even quinoa. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet, and spacious. After two very long flights, I totally relaxed almost immediately upon entering my room.

There was nothing I did not like. I absolutely liked everything about the Palacio Solecio from its comfort, breakfast, spacious room, helpful staff, and its perfect location.

the only recommendation I have is the heating- with an outside of 20 degree, the thermostat was stet by default at 24 degrees. I would strongly recommend to lower it at 19, and change it only on request! thank you!

I adored the location sat in the historic center of the old town. When you walk out onto the cobbled streets, you are right in the bustle of beautiful and picturesque Malaga. And when you step back inside, you are in a quiet respite. The staff was impeccable as was the service. The rooms were clean and contemporary! And the coffee bar and restaurant were a treat.

Great location, walking distance to all main attractions and restaurants. So nice to just walk out and be in the main drag. The room is really nice with tray ceiling, huge California king bed with large bathroom. There’s a narrow balcony looking out to the small courtyard, but it’s not directly by the bed so the room may feel a bit dark. Despite being central, it’s very quiet at night. If you drive, you need to call the hotel when you get close to the parking garage and someone will come to park the car for you. The garage doesn’t belong to the hotel, just a large one by the old fort Alcazaba. It’s literally a minute walk from the hotel. The problem for us was that we couldn’t locate the parking garage, we drove around a few times in the busy traffic and multiple roundabouts. The parking garage is called Alcazaba due to its location near the fort, but we thought that’s the garage’s name and couldn’t find any parking garage with that name. We finally found it and everything was fine. The hotel staff helped carry our luggage all the way to the room from the garage. Hotel service is excellent, everyone is nice and helpful. They also came with us to the parking garage (carrying all the luggage again) the day we left, they helped open 2 garage doors so we could drive off. One suggestion: maybe some clearer direction to the parking garage, some hooks for towels in the bathroom. Other than that, a really nice place to stay in Malaga.

It’s a beautiful old palace located in the heart of the old town. The welcome from the staff was exceptional and we felt at home immediately. The room was lovely and the sound proofing was great as we were potentially concerned about outside noise due to its location but we heard nothing! Good linen too!

The only negative - which we did speak to the staff about at the time - was our shower didn’t drain properly so there was a bit of a large flood which was very irritating! But they were very keen to get it fixed but as we only stayed for one night I can only assume they did this. Other than that no negatives .

Beautiful hotel which was a palace before. They’ve kept some original parts of the castle which made it beautiful. Elegant design. Exceptionally clean and interior was beautiful. Room was cosy and comfortable. Again room was so exceptionally clean; very silky soft clean bed linen and had the most comfortable sleep. The staff were very kind and attentive and responded to our needs and requests immediately. They even checked on what was vegetarian and which pastries didn’t have pork fat/butter during breakfast. Breakfast was excellent which also had a range of vegetarian options (pancakes were nice and fluffy). We even had a turn down service so it felt wonderful coming back to a clean and dimly lit room in the evening. Location was great on a nice street with good shops nearby and in front. So many insta-worthy photo spots if that’s what you’re looking for.

A bit on the pricey side but well worth the luxury experience.

Fantastic experience overall. Hotel is located at the best spot in Malaga, in the heart of the old town with immediate walking distance to all top spots in the area (Picasso Museum, Cathedral, Alcazaba, tons of restaurants etc.). Very original and luxury inside, super comfy and with reat and helpful staff.

Hard to find anything I did not like. I think that looking at the overall quality of the hotel and service, the restaurant staff was less organized than others and waiting time at breakfast / dinner was a bit too long. It was still nice to sit in the amazing dining room, so not much harm ;)

Hotel was beautifully appointed, very tasteful, and the staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating. It was our favourite hotel of four excellent places we stayed in during our time in Andalusia; we stayed in two separate rooms and both were great. The building has a storied, historic quality to it and could not be better located in the city centre.

Nothing. Only thing to note is that the hotel is a very short walk in a pedestrian area from the street which can be a consideration if carrying large luggage. The staff were very helpful when I had to carry ours to my husband who had brought over our rental.

This is a true boutique hotel with high qualities regarding the architecture and design, from inside to outside. The personell were all in all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was rich and delicate as was the courtyard which is serving as restaurant/ breakfast room. The bouffet discretely hidden from the main room holds a rich variety of items, fresh fruit juices and healthy options with low fat and no sugar. In addition there is an a la carte selection of dishes. There could possibly have been a choice of fish and vegetarian or no-meat products. Still, lovely breakfast! Beautiful room interior with elegant wooden panels and lighting. Excessive bathroom, spacious ad comfortable.

Regarding the small sized rooms I would say luxury is not an accurate definition. Sorry to say that the twin beds were sunken to the side, so one felt like rolling out of the bed. Mattresses must be turned regularily as they get sunken from extensive use, no matter the quality.
