This was a fantastic hotel because of the location, size of room, and excellent kind and sweet staff.

I'm not sure if it was the cleaning products (lots of bleach smell) or just the building itself but there seemed to be a disagreeable smell in our room and in some cases in the lobby as well. Personally, we just didn't like the smell. The hotel, especially our room, was cleaned daily, and you can see that they kept the property tidy and what appears clean - just the weird smell. I would have rated 9 to 10 if it wasn't that.

The hotel was in a good location...within easy walking distance to everything in the old town of Malaga. It is unfortunate that it has construction on the street outside the hotel over these weeks. But overall, very comfortable. Great big bed and large TV screen. Even ample light that came from the balcony.

When I first entered the room, the sheets and pillow cases on the bed were wet (but were clean)...maybe they usually expect guests to check in later, and the sheets would be dried by then. Though the room had a portable luggage stand and a very small stylish portable computer stand, I think the room could do with an extra desk or table or something to put a suitcase on or other items. The airconditioning was either too cold, or needed to be turn off - not much of a setting in between (but perhaps I didn't know how to get to the right setting); but thankful there was a thick duvet in the room if needed.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sercotel Tribuna Malaga, staff were helpful and welcoming, room was good very clean, lovely big comfortable bed air conditioning worked well, good shower in the bathroom.Hotel is in a very convenient location but no parking at the hotel itself but they have agreement with nearby car park for €17 per day. Although our bedroom window faced the street outside it was very quiet at night and we slept really well.

Only minor thing! At breakfast they had run out of a few things even though we were there as they opened at 7.30 - no butter, no ketchup and toast maker was very slow. Having said that we all enjoyed the breakfast.

The location is excellent for the old town a 5 minute walk to the main square. Bars and resurants are just round the corner. The train station is a 10 minute walk handy for the airport if traveling light. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have had in Spain. All the usual cold meats cheese etc eggs bacon cooked veg fresh fruit yogurt different bread. All replenished when requried by the nice lady in charge. The room was servied every day clean towels bed changed once or could have been twice.

Not much not to like the bathroom was a bit compact is the only thing to say.

The location of the hotel is great - both a good walking distance from Malaga Centro Train Station and into the historic city centre. The reception staff were always smiling and friendly. The icing on the cake was the balcony that looked over one of the main streets in Malaga. All of the extras such as the safe, the fridge and the TV worked fine. The cleaning of the room was also impeccable. We go to Malaga frequently and we used to use a certain international hotel chain literally just over the road ;-) - But after staying here , the Sercotel Tribuna will now be our first choice for future stays in Malaga. Highly recommended.

Nothing - we can't wait to book here again.

The hotel reception staff arranged a taxi pickup for me at the airport, and tracked my flight so they could let the driver know when my flight was 2 hours late. I arrived at 1:30 a.m. and was so relieved to have the driver waiting for me. The hotel was fine. Rooms was compact but had everything I needed including AC that I could control. Breakfast was buffet style and was pretty good. I was able to leave my bags for a couple of hours after I checked out, so I could visit a couple of museums. the reception staff were super helpful about helping me find where I needed to go.

While the bathroom was a good size, the toilet roll holder was placed on the wall almost by the tank, which made it super difficult to reach. I had to take the roll off the holder and place it on the counter. That might not seem like a big deal, but for anyone with mobility issues, that placement would be a problem. I also found the shower a bit of a squeeze to get in an hour (I'm a plus size), which was do-able, but again potential mobility issue for people. Also, the shower faucet handle sticks out so that when I was trying to wash my hair, the handle got turned off because my back was against it. Bit of a nuisance, but again, it's only a problem if you're a size 18+.

* The staff was really welcoming and nice, and especially the lady in the breakfast hall (I don't remember her name, but she was from Argentina). * I also enjoyed the breakfast, which had a greater selection than I expected – there was a range of cheese, ham, warm vegetables, pastry, bread, fruits and espresso coffee, among others. * I arrived after midnight and that was no problem – the Hotel ensured me that the receptionist was expecting me, and the check-in was smooth and quick when I arrived. * My room was actually upgraded, which was a nice surprise! (I wasn't supposed to have a view, but got a balcony facing the Tribuna) It was spacious, bright and clean. * Before my stay, I was a bit worried about noise from the street (I stayed there in a weekend) and from other rooms because of the reviews, but it was not a problem for me. You do hear some noise, especially when the door of other rooms in the same hallway are closed, but I slept well with ear plugs. * The location was very good. I only had two nights and appreciated that it was both so close to the train station and to the old town, because it maximized my time in the city.

If anything, it was a bit difficult to adjust the aircondition - it was too cold for me at night. However, I found a duvet in the closet which solved the problem. Also, it would have been nice with some hooks in the hallway, but that is a minor detail. All in all, I was very happy with my stay!

In the city center, walking distance to cafes,shops and restaurants and around 30minutes to the beach. Route from the hotel to the beach is easy beacause there is a long promenade you can turn it into quite interesting walk. The terrace is very cute and just enough to be able to catch up some air with a great view. Conditioning is also great. Staff is awesome, they gave up a map and short introduction to the city. They even kept our things following day after checkout. Highly reccomend it, especially for short trips.

The location was very good for sightseeing and was close to bars and restaurants. Housekeeping was exceptional as the room was spotless every day. Breakfast was good value for money and well organised by the restaurant staff. Reception staff(Maria) went out of her way to help during our stay.

Can become noisy at night during the weekend. Didn't have a tv/lounge area where you could sit and read and enjoy a drink/coffee.

Great choice in the edge of the old town, so within walking distance from everything. Clean space, comfortable beds, nice and quiet location, fully equipped rooms with mini fridge equipped with drinks and snacks. Friendly staff, very helpful and even provided a map and guidance for sightseeing.

The room was a bit small, considering two people couldn't walk around at the same time very easily. But for a short stay it is not a problem.
