We loved the peace of this hotel, quiet location. The room was large enough with a spacious bathroom, a fridge and a lovely balcony to sip tea in the mornings. Breakfast was really good with a tempting dish of the day eg vegetable pie and dainty chocolate pastries. Staff were lovely and thank you for the loan of a beach parasol which was so helpful. The location above the town suited us and we had no issues with the hill. Lunch was also good when we tried it as were cocktails on the terrace.

The pool is a little small and shallow for this number of rooms and we went swimming in the sea instead, When there are more than 4 people in the pool it does feel crowded, especially if kids are running around.

A fabulous small hotel, with welcoming friendly and helpful staff, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, great variety with the daily breakfast and stunning ocean views across Llafranc!

The swimming pool sits in the grounds with fabulous open views down to the ocean, however in the mid September sunshine it is a little chilly and would benefit from heating at this time of year. During our weeks stay it was rarely in use due to the water temperature.

Everything at the hotel and in town, especially the fact there wasn’t permanent background music everywhere! Though it could be different in high season. Each ground floor room had a small terrace area behind a small hedge for privacy and sunbathing (s. photo). The seaside town seemed surprisingly Spanish for the Med. coast.

A minor point: It wasn’t obvious whether, or at what times, we could order anything to eat during the day. If we’d stayed longer, we might have been interested in a salad or similar but there was no information about times or availability. This wasn’t too important to us for a short stay, but a sign on the bar said that a salad was available.

the comfort of the bed was unfortunately very bad, If you are comfortable staying in this hotel for a long time may cause back pain. we have been stung many times by mosquitoes... hotel management had no preparation to prevent this! a simple mosquito repellent tool can solve this problem

It is a very comfortable, family-run hotel. Wonderful views over the town and coast. Staff very pleasant and helpful (including the adorable golden Labrador who keeps a watchful eye on proceedings!) It is a fairly small hotel and has a quiet, relaxed and civilised atmosphere. This was our third visit and can’t wait to return.

Beautiful clean property on top of the hill on Llafranc. This is a small boutique style hotel with French inspired decor. So quaint and stylish… the staff were amazing and very helpful. I would 100% stay here again if ever visiting Llafranc. The rooms were very clean and spacious, we got one of the suites.

There’s nothing I didn’t like!!

Liked the hospitality of the staffs most cause they were super helpful, specially Jorge and Emma. From our arrival to departure these people were always there whenever we needed. Also wanna give them a big “thank you” for the restaurants they recommended.

1. Very minimal breakfast. 2.No indoor pool with warm water, jacuzzi or sauna.

Everything was perfect. Lovely room, lovely public areas, nice garden and pool with infinity pool views down to the sea below. The staff were excellent, communicating well in English when required. They gave us some great tips of places to visit too, which we followed. Breakfast was really nice, especially eaten outside on the lovely terrace looking out to sea. We had a light lunch there too, which was very nice. The menu isn't huge, but it's good enough. One of the nicest places we've ever stayed.

Blau Mar is an excellent hotel, situated above Lla Franc beachfront and a 10-minute walk. One can also walk easily along a coastal path with glorious views to calella, which has more restaurants but the beach in lla franc is bigger and better.. The hotel has good sized rooms and most have a decent sized balcony with good views of the sea. Breakfast is good, largely continental, with one cooked option, which was always egg and bacon. The staff are very helpful and always willing to provide additional tea/coffee as well as info on the area. When my wife and I stayed it was largely couples. One really needs a car to get around and the hotel is certainly a good base for seeing the surrounding area or simply relaxing by the pool or down at the beach, although it is a stiff climb for older people from Lla franc back up to the hotel

Perhaps an alternative cooked meal. The area is expensive generally, although the food in the various restaurants is generally very good.

The hotel's elevated position provided magnificent views over the town and the bay. The breakfast was excellent 10/10 a fantastic choice of cereal, fresh fruit, fruit juices, hot scrambled egg and bacon, tortilla's, a range of breads, croissant's, pain au chocolate, marmalade and jam and as much coffee or tea as you wanted. The hotel provided snacks at lunch time, mid afternoon and in the evening which were very good and very reasonably priced. All of the staff were very helpful, very friendly and most spoke excellent English. The public rooms were clean and well maintained. The pool and sunbathing areas were clean and well maintained and the availability of "pool towels" was an added bonus. The room was air conditioned, spacious and the mini fridge, kettle and daily supply of tea bags and sugar was very welcome.

The hotel's elevated position whilst good for the panoramic views means that the walk/climb back from the beach/town was strenuous for those of us with minor mobility problems, however this would not prevent us from going back to this hotel. Whilst the snacks on offer were very good quality and good value for money, a small restaurant would make a very positive addition to the hotel.
