Good place to stay on the Camino. clean and comfortable. lovely friendly staff.

Great location, close to any store or service you could want. Check-in was in the bar-restaurant just up the street, staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was well attended by locals as the food was great and a good value. Wifi was excellent. The hostal has an elevator. When we checked out the bartender pointed out the easiest way out of town to rejoin the Camino, indeed we were able to walk out of town in a straight line to our next lodging, we surely saved some kilometers doing so!

Room was perhaps the smallest we’ve stayed, but in fairness the square footage was not misrepresented in Booking.com. One bed had a super-hard mattress and the other a little tight for two. The bathroom was also tiny, but everything worked well.

Centrally located, many shops and restaurants around, the owners are very friendly and helpful. There's a lift in the building. Very quiet and clean.

Room 202 was small, had no view, beds very hard, bathroom was small, but shower was big. Only one socket in the room and one in the bathroom.

Warm welcome from the gentleman (I assume he is the owner). I arrived injured from León Hospital by bus and he made sure I was comfortable and took care of me which I appreciated.

Not great insulation between rooms and both nights the people in other rooms TV was loud and I could hear everything. The doors also shut loudly which woke me up.

The Hostal is plain and simple and priced accordingly. The registration was uncomplicated and takes place in the bar across the road (where you can also have a cheap, typically Spanish breakfast) The room was as we expected and we had our own bathroom at a price that usually includes shared bathroom. One can park in the street but it can be a problem; but there is an underground car park only 100 meters away. Ponferrada surprises with a very impressive castle and the streets around are typically Spanish. Good location for visiting Las Medulas the following day.

Everything was perfect , and congratulations to the owner, more than accomodating, very flexible hours, early breakfasts and very good also provided very useful hoistoric and local information that made the trip to Ponferrada the best with out doubt

I liked everything

I loved the ac as it was very hot. The man was very nice at check in. You need to check in at the bar over the road, also called bar San Miguel. Beds where comfortable and the room was clean.

A bit off the carmio, and the sink leaked.

Good hotel for the price. Not quite in the centre of town, but not too far to walk. Very convenient for train and bus stations.

The hostel was close to the Camino route, staff were helpful and friendly.

The room was quite basic but functional with 2 separate standard double beds, no hairdryer was available ATT.

I had a small quiet clean room with a private bath where I was able to get a good night's sleep. The hotel had a bar/cafeteria and was close to other nice cafes and the Templar Castle.
