location, excellent bedroom and en-suites plus pool(s) - see comments below The breakfast was excellent and we ate in the restaurant one evening with food and presentation very good. The hotel staff are very friendly

1) Advertises indoor and outdoor pool yet outdoor pool is seasonal only and for someone from the UK’s climate not to have an outdoor pool open late May when temperatures in mid 20s seems strange 2) Indoor pool surrounds were not as clean as I would have expected eg green algae line around the tiles in certain places as well as the floor area looking unwashed

Breakfast was poor, the coffee machines broke down every day

We paid approx £140 per night, when we needed to stay another night they wanted to charge us £259. Not very impressed and will not use your hotel group again

Located near the cathedral and historic centre. Great rooms, modern bathroom furnishings, comfortable beds, coffee making facilities in room, mini bar, TV with BBC world news, indoor pool, (outdoor pool too but open in summer only), two new sauna’s, bar, restaurant, helpful lovely staff. Hotel is very clean. Reception sells nice umbrellas for 6 euro (needed).

Air con was not working properly in the bedroom so room was warm on a night but not unpleasant, some bedroom furniture was a bit scratched due to wear and tear. Being picky, indoor pool was heated only enough to take the chill off the water (there is an energy crisis presently), and restaurant menu was limited if you don’t like fish (this is the case in much of Santiago outside of hotel too as fish is a local speciality)

Given the choice of hotels in Santiago de Compostela, this is one of the best - but, in all fairness, its a pretty generic hotel from the NH Collection - AC worked efficiently - Relatively no noise from other guestrooms, and no noise at all from the outside - Free parking on the grounds of the hotel - Good choice of international TV channels - Incredibly attentive and welcoming staff in the bar

- Room was rather small and the furnishings somewhat tired - The common areas of the hotel had a particular odour, which wasn't particularly alluring (I assume from whichever cleaning products they use!)

Hotel was in a nice location slightly out of town. It was a nice walk into the old which suited us as we like a walk after dinner . With this location there was peace and quiet. Staff were very helpful and were pleasant. Breakfast had a large selection and food was lovely. We had dinner one night again food and service was excellent.Beds were very comfortable and corridors were quiet we never heard a thing leading to perfect night’s sleep. What we did like it was reasonably priced for drinks and the food in the restaurant was not over priced like most hotels.

Bedrooms wer big, clean, really comfortable with large en-suite. Bit dated but that didn’t take from the comfort. Tea/Coffee making facilities in the room were welcome. Rooms were well serviced by staff on our second day and an extra blanket was supplied promptly when requested

Room card keys constantly becoming deactivated and we spent the weekend up and down to reception getting them reactivated (we had 3 rooms booked) We wer careful not to store them near our phones as directed by reception staff. 3 front desk staff seemed to think this was very funny on the Saturday night when I came down with my daughter late to get her card activated (again). This was both unprofessional and offensive. The hotel staff also told us they were unable to prebook us a taxi (unless it was to go to the airport) so we spent the weekend walking up and down to the town centre (about 15 min walk) in torrential rain. Not ideal

I liked the room we ended up with, the one with working air conditioning. It was a comfortable size and had the bed configuration we wanted. The hotel lobby was airy and welcoming. The attached restaurant offered a nice breakfast buffet with custom orders possible. It also had a creative menu for dinner; we ate there twice. Parking was usually available on the "street" just outside of the hotel entrance so we didn't have to park in the garage. The lift made getting to our room easy. The staff was very helpful. We were able to check in early.

Our initial room's air con did not work. Maintenance unsuccessfully tried to fix it. We were not given a new room for a few hours. Our room safe did not work and had to be replaced. The dark wood furniture is showing its age, with many visible chips. The huge window with a metal windowsill absorbed and radiated the sun's heat into the room. We had to keep the blackout drapes closed to keep the room cool. The hotel is walking distance to the cathedral, but barely. The shorter route involves hills. Pulling suitcases up the block-paved entrance road was difficult. There are no stores or cafes in the immediate vicinity.

Clean spacious room. Excellent and wide variety for breakfast offer. Staff friendly and communicative. Check in and check out quick and easy. Perfect location to explore the sights of Santiago de Compostela. Quiet location in green area of the city.

This is not a 5star hotel. It is need of a refresh. The indoor pool had green mould and grime along the water mark. The steam room did not work. The some light fittings along the corridors were falling out. The decorations are tired and marked in places.

This is a lovely hotel and it was a real treat to have air conditioning when it was so hot outside. I loved the location as it was a 10 min walk from Santiago Cathedral, and there was a lovely lake across the road. We sat by the pool as we had a few hours to kill before our flight, but we didn't have swim. It was just a nice way to relax. Food - the food in the restaurant was excellent and we enjoyed the little gadgets in the lobby area where you could ring for service for drinks. Staff - the staff on reception and in the bar / restaurant were super helpful. Even the cleaning staff were chatty and helpful. Good wifi and comfy seats in the main lobby.

The only thing I found frustrating was not being able to eat a bar snack in the bar / lobby. There was no food available until the restaurant opened.
