Everything was wonderful. We arrived wet, cold and tired. The host was so accommodating and we felt welcomed. The room was fabulous. So warm, so clean and beautifully appointed. Additionally, everything smelt so fresh and clean! We were delighted with the facilities. There is a kitchenette with microwave and cooker and fridge, plenty of cutlery and cups and cookware. This place has everything you could want in an albergue. Do yourself a favour!

The best albergue in Camino Francés Unlike many other albergues that only see pilgrims as money, this is a place that makes you feel like you are a guest in your own home. A first-floor bed (not a bunkbed), a free spin dryer, and Chupito de Herbas provided free of charge in the evenings do not make you think that the owner of this albergue only runs the albergue to make money. Gracious.

Monica (owner) is very welcoming, she even organise some drink next to the fire place which is a great opportunity to meet other guess (peregrines) but the most special moment happened when I realised I lost my wallet and the Colombians guys that are working in housekeeping were going above a beyond to find my wallet. As we didn't find it, the Colombian Gentleman offered me €20 so for my journey. In the end, I found my wallet at the coach station but this gesture is something I would never forget. Many thanks

Love the room I booked. Well furnished, have a white writing table & a matching stool with embroidery cushion; looks elegant in the room. The room window door opens up to a balcony where there is a clothes drying rack, clips & 2 foldable sunbathing chairs. You can even view the surroundings from the balcony. The bathroom has 2 mirrors, top for face & side for bottom & below. Ha ha ha. Side simple closet with mirror. Love the view during the night. Not forgetting you are invited by the host for an evening drink in the Albergue main garden with a fountain in the middle. Simply awesome!

Camino walkers who are on a vegetarian diet have problems finding a proper restaurant/cafe for dinner or lunch. Hardly any bakery shops. Not many restaurants have Galician food.

Right on the camino with easy access to lots of food options and supermarket. Good size, modern room. Nice outlook. Good bike storage.

Noise travelled from other guests but one guest was particularly noisy/inconsiderate so probably ok normally. It was a lovely day so we enjoyed opening all windows to enjoy breeze and view, but constant smoke from neighbour's chimney become annoying

Got to Sarria a day early with no place to stay. We were pointed to another place but decided it was not for us and went looking for somewhere else. Luckily for us Don Alvaro came up and I booked it. The rooms are in a newly renovated building with some work continuing on the third floor. I think we were the only ones there because we didn't hear or see anyone else. Very big and bright room with a lovely bathroom and outlets by the bedside. Lots of natural light and cute writing desk. Use of the garden and firepit across street.

I don't know if the windows are supposed to do this but some of them like came off the top hinge when opening like it was going to fall. No fridge or electric kettle. There's a lip at the top of stairs going into hall and I stubbed my toe hard.

loved the hospitality area with a fireplace where we could play a guitar, sing songs and meet fellow pilgrims. The hosts provided complimentary drinks for their guests which was extremely generous.

no complaints, no food is offered but it is not necessary with lots of restaurants and bistros just a few steps away. The location is literally right on the Camino Frances path.

The property had a lovely terrace with lounge chairs to rest after a day of walking the Camino. The property had a nice kitchen with a stove, fridge, microwave, and cutlery to use. As well, if you stay in the Albergue portion there were no bunk beds and only 6 people in the room which was a nice change!

It was a bit of a walk up to the property, but if you’re walking the Camino it is still along the way. And the next morning it’s an easier walk out of the city :)

Great location for centre of town - bang on Camino. Friendly, v. helpful staff. A hotel full of charm and character. Lovely garden and rooftop sun area for relaxation/hanging clothes.

A fairly basic double room with bathroom but absolutely perfect for Camino travelers.
