This was my first hostel experience and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. Rooms were cleaned daily as were the bathroom. The location was perfect for everything I wanted to do in Sevilla. Very close to bars, restaurants and attractions. The hostel make it so easy to meet other people which was one of my anxieties going in for the first time. The activities and the layout of the place make it difficult not to interact and get involved. Loved every minute and can’t wait for my next trip.

I was in the mixed 8 person dorm room. I was the only girl in the room, but I wasn't bothered. Everyone in my room was very friendly. The hostel location was good to see the things I wanted to see, both normal and the special sights for Semana Santa. The bathroom was shared with the whole floor of rooms, but they're cleaned three times a day and I never found myself waiting for the shower or the toilet. I've also never made friends as easily as I did here! They host family dinners every other night along with a paella making class. Both are great ways to make friends. The staff is friendly, and they speak a variety of langues, along with creating a really welcoming environment for travelers like myself to make friends. Additionally, there is a grocery store not too far off.
I would have liked the beds to have curtains. I was on the top bunk so I was afforded some extra privacy with that, but I always feel more comfortable when I can close a curtain to separate myself from others watching me.

Great location. Bed, pillow, duvet all comfortable. Charging plug available by your bed on the pillow side with a shelf next to it so you can put your phone on it. I was in 6 mixt dorm, with the bathroom outside, not much space in the room to move around. Towels available at the reception, daily activities available.
The community room is closed overnight, it does not seem there is any reason, but if you want to leave your bedroom for any reason, you have nowhere else to go in the hostel until it reopens in the morning. No shower gel available in the bathroom, only hand wash by the sink. The towel rent price €4 - a bit expensive

Perfect for remote workers - they have a nice work area with free coffee and tea. Beds were comfortable, blankets were warm, toilets were clean, convenient location in the center of the main Seville tourist area so it’s convenient to walk north and south and even west to Triana. There are also daily pub crawls and free dinners (need to sign up early). The demographic would be late 20s so you get less of the rowdy younger party crowd.
Wish they had privacy curtains and remove rhe 1 he limit for air conditioning (had to wake up in the middle of the night to turn on the aircon again)

Arthur, the funniest and kindest person who helped every time I needed, who was really atentive to details. The hostel is really nice, there are many activities, also is near to the touristic points and supermarkets. The space to leave our personal belongs is really big.
The only thing I think it can be improved to become perfect is, put cortinas on the beds (perfect to give some kind of privacity and confort even when we are sharing rooms).

I really liked thr fact that the hostel was pretty social, which makes the whole experience pretty nice. Furthermore, everything was pretty good when it comes to facilities and location
The bed did not have curtains, which could be done for some privacy while sleeping. The air conditioning was good but to had to turn on and off manually, also there are sensors that will make it turn off when someone opens the windows just to put their shoes on the balcony. So this made us turn the AC many times oner and over again, which might be dangers if u sleep on an upper bed. On the note, the stairs of the bed could be slippery, they are metalic with no texture.

It was clean and there was whole day some persons who kept the kitchen clean. Also there was free coffee in the morning and on Wednesday was free family dinner. They offer many activities daily and discount coupons for places to visit. Staff was kind and helpful. WiFi is good, it worked almost places well despite there was many people. Rooftop terrace was cool and sunny for relax and rest. Location is good not very far from bus station and almost historical places are walkable.
It was quiet crowded and there was only one shower with toilets on the floor. If place is full booked you have to wait and staff cleaned it between 8-9:30am and this time the toilet and shower was closed daily. In my room on bed wasn't curtains.

Location is very near to Plaza Espanya, which is the starting point of a walking tour. I loved that their facilities are exactly geared towards the backpacking community: There's a lift, a common kitchen outfitted with cookware, a wide refrigerator, luggage storage area, tourist maps and tours, desktop computers. There's also a daytime shower and toilet for those who have already checked our/will still check in. The kitchen is also maintained. Beds are comfortable, sheets are clean. The wooden bed panel creates a cozy private nook feeling. Overall, Black Swan exceeded our expectations except that we had an early request for lower bunk beds that was not fulfilled. A steep ladder to the upper bunk.
I wish they had dorms with a private bathroom. Nonetheless, the shared bath and shower was efficient with strong heated water (unlike many other hostels we've stayed in that pushed eco-conservation to the max). I woke up early in the morning to someone sleeping in the floor. My companions then went down to check out earlier than me. Hidden by the wooden panel, she thought my bed was already empty so she was about to get in my bed but was surprised I was still there. She then gathered her things to the storage assigned to her friend's bed, bade her goodbye and left. It seemed to me that her friend booked 1 bed while she sneaked in with her friend's key.

I loved that the hostel is a social hub and has activities planned for the guests almost every single night for those who want to participate. The hostel has lockers to keep your things secured and the beds were comfy with lights and outlets provided for each bed.
While the staff during the day was incredibly kind and helpful, the 20-something kid that works the night shift at reception was very rude and unaccommodating. He yelled at me for entering the kitchen just to check if my friend was there and then asked to see my card to prove that I stayed in the hostel.. I also asked him for an extra blanket because the AC in our room was off the previous night and he told me he can't help me and I should just turn up the AC.

Location was great, staff were friendly. I liked the curtains around the beds, they gave great privacy. Very useful to have light and power points within the bed area. The bathrooms were very frequently cleaned, congratulations to whoever was responsible becuase they did a great job. The bedding was very clean.
Incorrect marketing - it still (9th Nov 2023) says bar/lounge on their website - there is no bar. The lounge area was disappointing compared to other hostels I've stayed in. It is quite gloomy with little natural light and not particularly inviting. There's supposed to be a roof terrace and garden patio but I saw no sign of either. To be fair, I didn't ask as I was out a lot but there didn't seem to be signs up and I wasn't told about them when I arrived. The website also says "Free Breakfast and Free Dinner (except Paella Nights)" and I saw no sign of either breakfast or dinner whether paid or unpaid. I did think this seemed too good to be true and certainly didn't book on this basis, but they shouldn't advertise something if they're not going to provide it.
