La SIGRINA Tuy was our sanctuary after a long day of walking the Portugeuse Camino, there was nothing that we didn't like. Our room was delightful, spacious, modern, soft comfortable bed, air-conditioned, TV, WIFI, neat and tidy bathroom with plenty of towels. There were many communal spaces in the hostel to enjoy, we only spent time on the rooftop terrace for an afternoon drink and use the drying rack in the last of the afternoon sunshine. Overnight it was all quiet at the hostel, all guests were respectful of each other, in fact there are signs on the walls in the common areas reminding others to be quiet. Breakfast is served from 0730, each room is assigned a table with your breakfast supplies on, which was a generous plate of sliced bread, sweet pastries and cake. There was yoghurts, juice, packs of slices cold meat and cheese in the refrigerator for all, as well as cereals, biscuits and fresh fruit. I prearranged with La SIGRINA prior to our arrival for the use of a kettle to make a tea otherwise theres only coffee or milk. Check-in was completed on-line a day or two in-advance and an access code was given for entry into the building, there was no staff to welcome us and everything went well. A most enjoyable stay.

Nothing particularly, no staff at check-in

It is a perfect location to start the Camino. Close to the Cathedral and the information office. The owner is very friendly. He showed us around and explained everything. We got the entrance code on WhatsApp, so it's very convenient. The breakfast was good. The room is big and modern. I highly recommend it for a hostel. Everything is pland so you can manage independently if there is no one in the reception.

Our room (101) was next to the entrance, so we could hear every person coming in or talking in the reception. The hostel was a private house, so not very isolated. The bathroom wall and door in the room is made of glass, so it doesn't feel fully private. I would recommend having some vegetables for the breakfast.

I'm doing the Camino Portuguese and stayed at La Sigrina Hostal. The location could not be better. It is very near to the center of Tuin, but just behind in a quiet place. The room is small, but it just has everything that you need. The service is just the best. Because they are very accommodating, I was allowed to get my breakfast before the time scheduled. The reason for that was, it is too hot in Spain and Portugal at this moment and you need to get to your destination (17 km) by foot as soon as possible. It is a public holiday in Spain (25 of July), and I was only able to get my first cup of coffee at the final destination at 11:00 o'clock in Porriño. So, this action saved my day as it gave me fuel to walk the 17km without losing energy. This just shows the kindness of people and why the Camino to Santiago so special is.

Location very central for shops historical town restaurants and cathedral. Ideal for Camino journeys or any kind of visit to Tui. The room was clean and modern. The common rooms were full of character and breakfast area was clean and tidy. Help yourself breakfast had good options but the coffee machine stopped working.

A bit impersonal check in with messages and catering staff didn't talk to guests. Reception friendly though. I understand why not allowed but would have liked to take breakfast coffee onto it's lovely veranda or in the common room.

I stayed in a very basic room with glassed in bathroom right next to the lobby area. It was perfectly clean and fine for a night while walking the Camino. Breakfast was ready early in the morning, and had ample selection and quality with yogurt, cereal, meat, cheese, breads, coffee, tea, juices, and fruit. I was a bit worr that the room would be too noisy, but things settled down in the evening and I slept well.

The glassed in toilet and shower might be awkward if sharing the room with someone, but I was solo so no complaints from me on this.

The hotel was lovely, really really comfortable and homely. Perfect for a stopover on the camino. The outside terrace was also great and there are plenty of restaurants a short walk away. Breakfast is self-serve.

The only thing I noticed was the number of signs in the kitchen area saying "don't do this" or "please do that" - I found there were a lot of signs up and just my personal opinion is to really only have the essential signs up otherwise it starts to feel like a classroom. Perhaps the signs are required as it is a self-service breakfast? So not a criticism as such but just something to look at perhaps?

Best breakfast selection I had so far this trip - natural yoghurt, a toaster with nice brown bread to toast as well as the usual croissant & jam. They even offered peanut butter, and a fresh fruit (kiwis, bananas & apples). Very modern (codes for entering building & card to enter room). Very clean.

Unlike many places I stayed in Portugal & Spain, no exterior blinds to make room properly dark. Not an issue with sunrise times in October, but June would be different. Coffee at breakfast not as good as elsewhere. One of the pricier places I stayed this trip.

The property is in a great location close to the town center and all the restaurants. The facility also allows you to check in when you arrive via a passcode that was sent to us. Breakfast is available at any time you get up since it is self served. This is extremely beneficial if you hope to get an early start on the Camino . The breakfast selection is excellent with meat, cheese, yogurt, cereal, and bread.

Super clean accommodations. This hostel used to be the family home of the owners, and has been updated beautifully to be a modern yet cozy new hostel. Mario, one of the owners, was very kind and waited for us as we arrived late. He was in constant communication and very accommodating. Breakfast was delicious as well! Location is great for the Camino as well as it is located just 5min by foot to the Cathedral.

Tight quarters but still very comfortable!!

Really loved our stay here at La Sigrina. The place is so cosy and gorgeous terrace to chill in the evenings in the sun. The room was so clean and so comfortable too! The breakfast was delicious and there was a good choice. Mario was a brilliant host, he answered any questions we had and he sent us all the information about the hostel before we arrived via WhatsApp. It was perfect from start to finish!
