Beautiful property and very helpful and friendly staff. We had dinner at the restaurant and the sardine toast was one of the most delicious meals I ate in Spain! The waiter forgot to bring one of the glasses of wine and so gave us free coffee at the end of the meal. We felt treated and taken care of during our stay here and would highly recommend! It not only is an experience because of the beauty and history of the property, but also due to the friendly staff who work here!

we booked dinner bed and breakfast, and both the dinner and the breakfast were exceptional. The staff were friendly and helpful and made our stay a delight. The quality of the hotel is more important in winter when you spend more time indoors and we were not disappointed.

There was no information available without asking. A map of the town, the prices of drinks in the minibar, other services the hotel offered etc. I'm sure that this was to do with covid and the staff were very happy to tell us what we wanted to know but I would have preferred to have more information available.

This is a beautiful building absolutely full of history, character and charm. The staff, almost without exception, were extremely welcoming and helpful. Our room was enormous as was the ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was amazing with so much to choose from and fabulous coffee. We were travelling by motorcycle so it was nice to be offered a space in the garage along with the bicycles at a reduced rate.

Frankly I wouldn't recommend the restaurant for an evening meal. Food and service were both very average indeed and with quality restaurants nearby my advice would be to eat out.

In this expanded area for Camino hikers, this is a superb place to stay. The Camino is one block from the Camino, and on that block is a charming small church worth visiting. In addition to offering very good accommodations, the hotel has an outstanding restaurant for both dinner and breakfast.

Didn't find much to enjoy in the city. My wife did find some gifts to purchase at a yarn shop across from the church mentioned previously.

We have been to many Paradores, the one at Vilalba is up there with the best, it is in a good central location, ideal for a stopover en route to Santiago de Compostela. Staff extremely helpful, safe garage parking for an extra charge. Good size rooms, if anything the mattresses were a little too hard, oherwise perfect.

This place is amazing! I'd always wanted to stay in a Parador in Spain, and the Vilalba did not disappoint. Gorgeous, comfortable room; friendly, attentive, staff. We didn't want to leave the place, despite the lovely town! We had a wonderful meal in the restaurant there, reasonably priced.

The staff were fabulous. They were polite helpful and cheerful too. I needed help with some phone translation to check my covid test appointment before leaving the country and the lady at the desk was fantastic. Finding a laboratory and booking an appointment is a stressful process, so her help on the phone (to confirm our appointment) was very reassuring . She also recommended local places and gave us umbrellas when it rained. The room was huge, quiet and the bed was really comfortable. The hotel was very clean. Our evening meal was excellent and again the staff were very helpful and happy to serve us with a big smile.

The Turkish Bath smelt a bit bad so we didn't use it, I think the eucalyptus oil had run out. We told them this so they didn't charge us and made a note to investigate.

Great stay, everything a Parador should be.

The menu peregrino was advertised outside on one of the post but on asking, was told they no longer do it. It's a shame, as we are walking the Camino del Norte. It probably also explains why the Peregrino room rate was no different from the normal rate - Still, we enjoyed our stay very much

Fantastic location and well turned out hotel. Great staff with good level of English. There was a festival on when we stayed and the Parador featured in the poster which shows what a land, ark it is in Vilalba.

Nothing really.
