The absolut best thing about the property was the staff. From the beginning they were very nice and incredibly welcoming. They gave us amazing tips and made us feel at home. When we wanted to have a late night swim, they turned the pool lights on just for us. Even though we didn’t book any breakfast/lunch/dinner they always asked us if we wanted to have some food. And the food was really good too! We were able to rent Bikes from them and they always offered to call us a TukTuk. They were overall just super nice and made our stay very good.

The only “negative” was, that the bathroom was very small, especially the shower. It didn’t have a door or curtain, so the bathroom would get wet.

nice and clean huts with enough space of a family, clean and a nice pool, hidden away in the countryside, therefore away and quite, delicious breakfast brought on the terasse, recommendation: ask for Sril Lankan breakfast, you'll love it, very friendly staff, helping with the luggage, also try eating in the accomodation - delicous and we did not have such a large portion of Kottu again during our stay. Also good tips for trips in the area are given, parking space available (we traveled with our own rental car)

D Family Resort staff is very helpful and pleasant smily face always. Each and every time they helped us and fulfilled our requirements. Specially the location is wonderful lake view and various kinds of fruits trees. We felt very comfortable at D Family Resort. We had our favorite food as the breakfast. Excellent and very tasty food they provided. The pool is very clean and clear. We enjoyed a lot at D Family Resort. We hope to go back to that beautiful place to stay with such a nice hotel staff again. Thanks D Family to making our trip memorable one.

We would rate the staff here 20 on 10 if we could. My partner had a bad accident at the property and had to go the emergency. The manager Radhika and staff Priyantha and Prashan were immensely supporting and caring during this traumatic episode. Special mention to Priyantha who came with me in the ambulance and stayed late into the night while doctors assisted my partner. Like the name of the resort, they really did treat us like family. Radhika also wanted to waive meals we didn’t have and after much insisting on our parts at least charged us for some. Radhika also brought food to the hospital and picked us up. Outstanding support by all the staff for which we are deeply grateful. About the property, we stayed in the cabana the first night but could not avail of the facilities as the accident happened. We did enjoy our brief time there - the balcony overlooks a garden and a lake. The traditional easy chairs were lovely. Comes with a small fridge and kitchen space - so would suit a family. We really enjoyed the pool very much with the interesting lion feature. We had dinner on night which was nice. On the second night we were in the double room which was also comfortable. Sadly we could not see much of Anuradhapura so we hope to come back and stay here again. Wishing the staff here the very best and thanking them again for their kindness.

Nothing as such. A recommendation is to have portable pedestal fans we could borrow as the outside seating area and the balcony does not have any fans. It can get quite warm if there is no breeze

We liked how friendly everyone was when we arrived, and they were really helpful when we talked to them. The first Kabana we stayed in was super clean and looked really nice. My kids had a great time playing in the pool. The people working at the front desk and taking care of things were all very nice. The place was in a good spot for moving all the attractive places in Anuradhapura, and we felt like the rates were worth it.

Lovely hotel with a good size pool, very clean and the staff were exceptional. The location for us was excellent in that it was not in the centre but close enough that all the attractions were only a short tuk tuk ride away. The breakfast was well cooked and dinner was always freshly prepared for us and very tasty.

The building was a little tired but very clean and everything did work as it should.

We had our own cabana with 2 bedrooms for our family of 5. The cabana is a little dark but there is a nice terrace to get some light. The location is a little out of town but we had a car so no problem to get to the temples and restaurants.

Our 3 daughters all ended up with little wounds from the pool, we expect there's too much chlorine in it or something...

Our stay was excellent. The staff were beyond friendly and were like family. It was my father’s birthday and they kindly arranged a cake with candles for him and we all sang and wished him. The service was excellent and the rooms very comfortable. The location is also great as it’s very close to the temples. It was a very pleasant stay overall. Thank you all!

The staff hospitality is amazing. Food is so delicious. We nearly had all our meals from the resort. There is a good size pool, it was very good and clean. After a hot day time walk around, can jump in to the pool to cool down. There are lots of fruit trees in the property which you can help your self to.

There was a minor issue with one of the A/C units in one of the cabanas, the staff really tried to get it sorted, since it was public holiday on that day, the staff couldn’t get an electrician to fix it. but it was manageable.

We stayed in a lovely cabana with a view over the garden towards the lake. It was clean and cozy and had a nice balcony area outside. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The pool was lovely and refreshing on a hot day.

The rooms were nice, but a smallish double downstairs and no mosquito nets upstairs in children’s room so had to put up our own.
