When you are in Anuradhapura for a few nights: just book here! The staff is very friendly, we coffee and food are amazing (it’s hard to find good European coffee in Sri Lanka) and the room is okay with AC. When we wanted to book a Anuradhapura tour with a Tuktuk, they arrange Sam - a English speaker tourguide who brought us to Ancient city, teached us about buddhisme and arranged a meeting with a monk for all our questions.

We went on safari what we’ve booked through The Ivy Lake and for us, it was a bad experience for other reasons. The Ivy Lake listened to us and compensated. That was really amazing. The staff are truly listening to us.

Rooms are very clean. All the equipment is new. They are very flexible with arrival and departure time. The food was very delicious. We are planning to visit this place again. Walking distance to Nuwara Lake. There is a nice place to have a safe bath. Staff is very friendly. You have two entrances for the room. One key is electronic card. One is the old method key.

For both of us, we enjoyed the stay. There is nothing to complain about. But there were some small insects on their corridor, but they were not in the rooms luckily.The problem was if we are using corridor we had to quickly ran and closed the door without putting lights since they are coming becuase of light. They said its because of rain. Hope next time they come up with a solution for that. Other than that, all good.

My week-long stay at Ivy Lake Anuradhapura was exceptional. The standout feature was the remarkable service provided by the staff—kind, accommodating, and always ready to go the extra mile. The room was not only comfortable but also exceeded expectations, contributing significantly to the overall positive experience. Additionally, the food was delicious, adding to the overall enjoyment of my stay.

There were no notable drawbacks during my stay at Ivy Lake Anuradhapura. The experience was overwhelmingly positive, and there were no aspects that left room for improvement or dissatisfaction.

Well maintained and very clean property. Super clean and comfy beds. They even provided a Rice cooker on our request to make milk rice for our offering. Highly satisfied.

The road near the property entrance is not in a good shape. Vehicles with lower ground clearance will have to be extra cautious when entering and leaving the property

The hotel is small 4 rooms villa and was kept clean and well maintained. Mahenda who was the receptionist, cook, and basically one man show, was very friendly and flexible. A gentleman. The hotel room is large in size, clean and basic but comfortable facilities. The bathroom has an electric shower and it is deceiving as the overhead shower is not connected to electric hot water system. Fantastic Breakfast and meal!! Overall I would recommend this hotel 🙏🏼

Everything was good for the size and price of the hotel.

Due to a tightly packed schedule and the need to attend a religious event on time, I was only able to stay at the hotel for a short period, resting for approximately 7-8 hours. I would like to commend the staff for their exceptional assistance during my stay. They not only provided me with an early check-in option but also went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and convenience. This gesture was tremendously helpful and greatly appreciated, considering my time-sensitive commitments. Once again, I thank them for their outstanding service. I will definitely consider staying at your hotel again in the future and will recommend it to others as well.

The hotel was really nice. The rooms were really cozy, clean and the bathroom was excellent. The location was also quite easy to access, close to town & the train station and plenty of cheap places to eat around the hotel area. There was a lot of mosquitoes, but the hotel staff do a lot to keep them away so it's not a bother. They rent out bikes also which is cool, but didn't use it. Also if you need a tuktuk to take you on a tour of the sites they know a great tuktuk guy who was great!

The hotel didn't have much in the way of outdoor areas to sit except for a single table. The menu options in the hotel were a bit limited, but the staff tend to accommodate requests for minor changes here and there.

The hotel is very modern and super well decorated. It offered a nice contrast from the other hotels and homestays that we stayed at in Sri Lanka. Both of the guys working in reception were really welcoming and hospitable, and they arranged a full-day safari to Wilpattu National Park for us. The restaurant is excellent, as is the coffee shop - they serve up an absolutely delicious cheese kottu and iced mocha!

Located a short walk from the train station and within easy reach of all the ancient treasures of the sacred city. Modern spacious room with exceptional bathroom and comfortable bed. Very clean and well maintained. Super helpful and friendly staff, special mention to Chathu. Delightful food available on request. If you need a tuk tuk to get around, ask for Tushara.. a gem of a gentleman. The family selling fruits etc opposite the hotel are wonderful should you need a banana or 2.

Location; superb location, it was within walking distance to the main railway station which was super convenient for us travelling from Colombo. The hotel is located in central town and minutes away from all the temples. You can walk or hire a Tuk Tuk but we hired a bicycle. Another plus was the proximity of the bus stop, only a few meters, this enabled us to travel to Sigiriya the following day. Rooms; spacious, bright, very comfortable beds, super clean, very efficient air-con and hot water shower. Wi-Fi was satisfactory speed throughout the place. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner, cheap, delicious and very generous portions. Staff; the staff were probably the most friendliest and helpful we have encountered during travelling, an asset to the hotel.
