An EXEMPLARY selection of Accommodation ~ from the Welcome and gratis fuit juice offered upon arrival, the patient and timely showing me to my Room ~ prompt courteous attention to my any enquiry during my three day stay ~ within the confines of the Fort Walls, proximity to Restaurants and locations of Cultural/Historical Interest ~ Mango House, the Building/Accommodation IMPRESSIVE, but above all else the Management and Staff more so ~ if whosoever might read these words, I Highly Recommend Mango House as where you should stay whilst visiting Galle...

Criticism/Complaint in any way is unwarranted ~ the Courtyard/Restaurant a welcoming area as the entrance to the property immediately off the street, lush and with an overhead canopy of umbrellas on the short pathway walk to Reception an appealing/eye catching feature, set the scene for a most enjoyable and fabulous stay...

We stayed in the family room, which has a large double bed when you enter and a lofted double bed up a small flight of stairs - ie, the room is half-split by the loft. It's a very comfortable and pleasant room, and it is the perfect size for a family with children small enough to share a bed but big enough to walk up and down stairs without help (ours are 6 and 8 years old). There is a lot of natural light, a great shower, and extremely comfortable beds. In the common areas, there are two big, pleasant seating area with coloring books and colored pencils that our kids loved. Upon check-in, we were greeted with fresh juice and a small traditional snack. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that our two rooms were perfectly appointed for us, and answered all our questions about parking, shopping, etc. The location is literal steps away from all the neat things in Galle Fort. The breakfast was generous. We will definitely stay here again.

Property is quite pretty. There are places to sit outside also in case you room is not ready or even after checkout if you want to wait, its a perfect place. The use of mango yellow gives a different vibe. The place also has a India feel since it has many old hindi movie posters and even the runners etc are from Rajasthan

I felt the breakfast quantity was less. We booked 2 rooms but during breakfast (traditional SL food) for 3 people, we got one bowl of daal and sambol. It was pretty less for 3 people and we ended up having the rotis and hoppers dry. We asked for more but they did not have any. Our room was towards the backside so the balcony overlooked the closed area but I got to see some other rooms of first floor. they had nice sunny view. Next time I would prefer to take room 5 or 6 if staying on first floor

Breakfast and coffee were great at the hotel. the place is nice and clean with sufficient comfort and value for money. Excellent staff with great hospitality, great location within the fort, located in the centre and close proximity to all major attractions.

room comfort may be able to improve with comfortable beds, pillows and other amenities. they are clean and sufficient but can be better with a little additions

Pleasant hotel in what I understand is a renovated colonial-era cinnamon factory. Good location for exploring the Fort area, easy walking distance to all the sites, restaurants, and shops. I think all the rooms are a bit different from each other. The two we had were a bit small, but tastefully decorated, with both a fan and an a/c, a safe, and a large bed. Some rooms have a balcony or an enclosed patio, which is always very nice. The garden and breakfast area are lovely. For breakfast, choose between Sri Lankan, full Western, or Continental. The full Western was good, and I asked for a pot of tea and was not charged extra.

I think more could be done to make the large reception area special.

Really lovely hotel in the heart of Galle Fort. Loved our spacious room with fantastic air conditioning. Powerful overhead shower was lovely too! The management were really friendly and arranged for us to take a packed breakfast with us when we left early in the morning for our flight.

The restaurant at the hotel is in a lovely setting but they were playing western music very loudly and it was quite off putting. If could be a lot more classy if they played more relaxing music a little quieter.

Mango House is an oasis. From the moment you step from the street into its green courtyard and are met by very friendly staff. Room had a shared private courtyard. Room was very clean, bathroom good, bed comfy. All good. Restaurant food is very good- breakfast, lunch and dinner. Well situated for walking to fort walls and all the sights and strolling the lanes. Loved the whole experience.

Would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room but lack of did not spoil the stay.

Beautiful haven in Galle Fort. We Really liked the entrance and tables with greenery, and the flower arrangements were incredible. Great feel! When we walked around the town we felt we were staying in the right place.

Rooms were good but the downstairs bedroom was a bit stale and the bedroom balcony upstairs was kind of an indoor one. As everywhere these days, big pushy asking for reviews.

Was in a great location right in the middle of the Galle fort area so easy to see everything on foot. Had a lovely airy reception area which was beautifully decorated. Had some of our best food on the trip at their restaurant.

Our room was a little on the small side seemed to be trying to squeeze round the bed when you had 2 bags in there.
