Great location a few minutes walk from central railway station and bus terminal, and from the centre of town. Easy walking distance to 'Oves' (famous for its delicious buttery mashed potatoes), and numerous other cafes. The hotel itself is older, but beautifully elegant. Our room was comfortable, and our TV had more viewing choices than other hotels offer. Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of hot and cold options (nice scrambled eggs). Staff were friendly and helpful. We went to see the light display in Alingsås, but were even more impressed by the 'Guided Coffe Walk' run by Alingsås Turistbyrå. We learned a lot about the fika culture in Sweden, and ate some delicious cakes. The last stop was at the Grand Hotel for Princess Cake.

The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night, and all guests had to leave the building. Two fire engines were already on site as we were leaving the building ... impressive service. We would definitely stay here again. Alingsås has a lot on offer for a smaller town.

The ambiance, building and staff. Very happy about our stay. We arrived very early, unannounced, but the staff nevertheless arranged a nice room immediately. We were given excellent advice on the town. The large common room, with coffee and snacks, by the reception area was perfect for working. The breakfast buffet was very good. We would gladly return.

No complaints. Unfortunately, the hotel restaurant was closed the night of our stay, but such things happen. A slightly wider range of TV channels might be a good idea; watching Swedish State TV and CNN can make anyone sick.

Just across the street from the train station. Our room had everything you needed, small but enough space for two. We stayed at the annex, wifi worked great. Took a breakfast bag due to an early train, it was not THAT early but the staff fixed i without hesitation and we could get an hour extra sleep. A big sandwich, yoghurt, an apple, sweets and coffee in each bag was more than enough.

Amazing breakfast, clean and very good standard. The staff was nice, none pushy and funny.

Had to wait a good while for check out. They said it was up until 12 we arrived at the desk half and a crowd had started to form when they arrived some minutes past 12. Happily our train didn't leave until 1 pm and the trainstation was superclose.

The breakfast was fantastic in every way. Inviting and clean "stations" for food and drinks. The room was comfortable and quite with every little detail in place. The staff was very nice and helpful.

The carpark. I payed not much, but I payed, and I expected to find a place to park my car in a close and easy way. When I arrived every single place close to the hotel was occupied and one of the staff tried to explain how to ge to a locked garage in some distance. It ended with me parking my car down town.

It should be possible to reserve parking. We arrived late and were sent to a nearby parking lot, where we could only pay with a Swedisg parking app. It was quite tedious and it would have been nice if foreigners would get better instructions or be able to reserve on the hotel location. Later during our stay, once we has paid and reserved for parking at the hotel location, we arrived late and found it was completely full.

Being able to open the window was a real plus as so many hotel rooms are stuffy. We ate at the restaurant and it was the best meal I’ve had on this trip

Best location in town! Beautiful building, amazing rooms with really comfortable beds and exclusive sheets! Really amazing staff, great breakfast and great value!
