Wonderful staff, the shower chair for my mum was missing but they made sure one was provided so great staff that will go that extra mile for you with a smile. Nice breakfast and perfect location. Beds are super comfy. Easy public parking. However, the room could have needed a quick dust as there was a layer of dust on the glasses on the table and on the lights. But we had a great stay and would definitely come back if we have the opportunity to do so.

The dust on the glasses on the table, on the desk and lamps. It would have been nice if they were dusted before a guest arrives. Mugs and cutlery in the kitchenette also need to be checked before guests check in as two mugs were not really clean and that also was the case for some of the cutlery and a pan. But easily rinsed off but again it would have been nice if everything had been checked thoroughly before our arrival by the staff.

(+) Location: Position is everything! Right in front of river, in a quiet neighbourhood, yet just 5min walk from the center of Karlstad. We could stroll around the river, enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the area, which greatly accelerated our experience in the city. (+) View: We had a room facing the south. We could have upgraded to a room claiming ’river view’, a room facing the north. Yet, there is a smaller branch river on the southwest side, occupying most of the view of our south-facing window. So regardless of room choice, you get a river view, either the larger one or the smaller one. (+) Staff: The personnel was very accomodating and helpful, both during the check in/out and during breakfast. (+) Simplicity: The breakfast was simple, compact, yet with satisfactory variety of bread, waffles, cereals, and other sweet/salty choices. There is a coffee/tea corner at the reception available to hotel guests, since there is no water boiler in the room. Quite a different concept than other hotels, but not unpleasant.

(-) Cleaningness: This is a personal judgement. My wife thought the room was quite clean. However, I take notice of accumulated dust on the hair dryer, the mugs in the room, and on furniture surfaces. Yes, the room was visually clean, however, it appears it was cleaned a while ago, probably the last time somebody occupied it, which was likely some time ago before we checked in.

The cleaning process was not clear, even though they explained it in the beginning. They wrote to leave the towels on the floor to get new ones. But we didn't get any when we did that. They just took the old towels. They removed the trash but didn't really make the bed.

Large room with river view. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Able to pay for the parking at the hotel desk. Excellent location near the city center. The entry doors open automatically.

No onsite parking although plenty available in nearby public carparks.

One of the receptionists was clearly sick and had a pretty bad cough. 2,5 years into the pandemic, for the love of god please let your employees stay home when sick! I’d much rather have a worse service and wait a while to be served than return home with a bout of covid.

A nice, quite small hotel with nice atmosphere. The room was simple but spacious and clean, no luxuries but all you really need. The location is good, a peaceful site but within short walking distance to the center.

The price was a bit high for what was provided. The breakfast time was short so the breakfast room was a bit crowded.

Location was near main shopping bar’s restaurants etc. staff were friendly and breakfast was decent parked our motorcycles infront of hotel with no issues

I liked that it was not to big hotel. Intimate and local hotel close to the city center. Nice breakfast for those who are not to demanding. Pleasant staff :)

Breakfast was right on spot with everything you need, Not too much and not too little. The waffle machine is AMAZING! The staff was friendly and kind and really took care of our needs.

They didn't changed the sheets and made the beds everyday but they have cleaned the room and changed the towels.
