The staff was very friendly and gave great recommendations. I arrived too early and could store my backpack until check-in. Checking in and out was very easy. The room was clean and had a private toilet with a sink, as well as a desk and chair. Shared showers and kitchen are in the basement, and a nice sauna that you can use for free. It was great after hiking! Breakfast was included and delicious, with lots of options to choose from, and even gluten-free buns. The accommodation is close to some hiking trails, and two supermarkets are in walkable distances. You should visit one of the husky kennels in the area, check the hotel's blackboard :)

Location is pretty good, little bit on a hill, super close to the "old" city center, which is gonna move and be demolished in next few years. Also, train station is not far away even to walk to-from, unless you have super heavy luggage (2,2 km). Otherwise, bus station that goes there is quite close to the hotel ("OK park" station, purple line). Breakfast was good, I would say typical hotel breakfast with the most important things to cover. Also, in the same building as reception is Asian restaurant, that offers great buffet during working days with some addition of other types of food. There is a storage room to leave your luggage if you arrive earlier than your check-in time, or if you have late transport after morning check-out. Quite handy. Rooms are basic, but pretty cozy. I was sharing the shower/sauna area with others and most of the time there I was alone. No issues there, you still have your own toilet in the room itself. Only complain is on the pillow, they should be replaced since they are worn-out from washing and inside material is definitely damaged and bundled-up. Otherwise, quite cozy "student dorm" feeling of the facility, nothing fancy and quite rustic considering it is old building meant to facilitate students or mining workers.

Just the pillow but I survived. :D Otherwise, I liked the accommodation, since I prefer more chill, cozy and simple ones.

very clean privacy value for money good restaurant good staff

restaurant closes at 7 pm which is very early. One experience about locals that I would like to share ( its not related to STF but area around STF): I went on a walk in the evening, it was around 9 pm so it was not too late. There is an ice skating ground very close to STF. The lights were on so I went to see how it looks. Its a public ground I suppose. While I was walking outside there were bunch of guys who came out from inside ice hall and harrassed me with verbal houting and scared me off. I was very un comfortable as I was just walking by that place. I don’t know but it gave me an impression that maybe local people don’t like tourists visiting that place.

We were in Kiruna on an extremely short visit to experience the Northern lights (Aurora). We had early morning 6:00 a.m flight next day and would not be around during the breakfast timing. Understanding this the staff packed for us a generous breakfast meal box so that we don’t travel empty stomach early morning. It was very thoughtful of the team and made our stay memorable. The room, linens, toilets etc is neat, tidy and clean. Price also reasonable in comparison with other properties in Kiruna. 5 star for the Stay and experience.

I liked my room, which had a comfortable bed with crisp sheets and a beautiful view. The hostel is located behind the old town core, but at walking distance. Breakfast is a good standard buffet and takes place in a bright room with a great view of The reception staff were super kind and helpful - I was especially grateful they could organise a key box check-in, as I arrived late.

I was surprised that there were no hot items (porridge, pancakes) at breakfast in the weekend. Also the weekend staff of the breakfast room had a bit of an attitude - and interesting ideas of e.g. removing all jams or the hot coffee container 15 minutes before the end of the two-hour breakfast timeframe.

This is not a fancy hostel or anything, but it does the job for its price. Rooms are basic but clean, there's a sauna, and breakfast is excellent. People at reception are accommodating and very nice. Additionally, there's a luggage storage room that you can use without any payment. And it's within walking distance from the old center and the railway station. My night after hiking Kungsleden before my train couldn't be better 🙏

Breakfast is very good various selections love it. And the rooms are very clean and well-managed and the view is amazing! The kitchen was very good with lots of equipment like a microwave, refrigerator, and woven with hotplates, perfect for family visits.

well, there is nothing to complain about the property everything was good, but the reception to rooms little bit far especially in winter time it can be very snowy and slippery.

Location not right in the town center (just a few minutes away) in the best spot of Kiruna with pretty typical buildings and woods. The breakfast is wonderful with a huge variety of food. room and bathroom were clean and the receptionists, both the lady and the boy, very kind.

They should do something to solve the problem of the bad smell coming from the shared kitchen. A ventilation system or something like it will help to avoid a constant bad smell in the whole building.

Restaurant food was amazing and huge portions with salad buffet and deserts apart of that. Breakfast was also very good, more than expected. Staff is always very nice and helpful. Very useful locker room. Rooms nice and quiet. Sauna available and great walking areas starting at the spot. Also nice library with interesting books about culture and geography of the region.

helpful staff , I did not see the working hour of reception which is from. 8 to 19 and luggage room is only open during that time. but she found a solution and brought luggage to our room for us since we were not able to come back at 19 clock good facilities,big place for rest, you can borrow chess ,sled , walking sticks etc for free, a small library. luggage room, big kitchen even we didn’t have a chance to use it. lunch buffet is really nice with cookies and desserts. breakfast is fairly good too. the bed is comfortable. possibility to see the northern light but we didn’t see it during our short stay.

when others walk in the corridor, it’s like walking in your room. you hear everything. someone were laughing and talking aloud at 3 am and someone was leaving at 5 am. didn’t find information about working hours of reception which is from 8 to 19
