Although Neuchatel didn't meet my expectations, the location was perfect, near to everything. I also liked the breakfast, although they could add a little bit of variety. Staff was helpful, especially the cleaning ladies, they were really great. We had a small attic room with two beds. The room and the bathroom were spacious and we were pleasantly surprised when we saw a portable air conditioning in our room. Namely, it was really hot, over 35 degrees, day and night, and in Switzerland, most of the places, to our surprise, don't have ACs. We only found it in supermarkets. So, these small AC saved our lives! Ah, I almost forgot, there's a Nespresso machine and a variety of coffees and tea in the box, which was a nice touch.

It would be nice to have a little fridge, especially in those hot summer days.

- Great location, close to the center and the lake and close to the bus stop and the funicular going to the train station. - Clean - Buffet breakfast was not included but it was worth the price - The city card that you receive for the tourist tax is worth it (public transport in all the canton and acess to many museums and attractions in all the canton).

- The price was quite high for what it is, and for what seemed to be off-season for tourism, but obviously this will vary depending on multiple factors so you might be able to book it for less.

Comfortable bed(s). Large shower room with hand/hair/body wash. Balcony with lake view (did pay extra for balcony room) was great to sit out on. Friendly and courteous staff - reception and cleaners and at breakfast. My birthday was during the stay - lovely touch of food and drink in the room when came back that evening! Very good location for the lake, museums, park and places to eat and drink.

The pre-boiled eggs at breakfast could've bern fresher. Room was warm, but that's the recent weather for you. A fan was provided, thanks. My husband didn't like the coffee.

Excellent welcome by the staff, we had the impression that they actually enjoyed their job and interacting with us. They were able to lend us an umbrella, which was very useful, and the location of the hotel is very convenient, a few minutes on foot to the center of town. Staying here, you also get a coupon book which grants free access to public transportation and some activities, including a boat tour and the Museum of Natural History.

The room was a tad small but correct. Very clean and had the essentials. The street was a tad noisy in the morning because we slept with the window open, but you'd have to go out into the countryside to get a quiet morning.

The hotel is quite comfortable, close to the city center, 10 min. walk from the train station. The room was clean, equipped with coffee machine. The weather was hot, what is not usual in Swiss, so there is no air conditioning in the room, although a high performance fan was there.

The price is quite high. The city tax is also high, but pubic transportation is included.

- lovely front desk staff, super helpful and nice - I got a free upgrade because they weren’t fully booked, so rather large, comfy room - clean - absolutely perfect location to get to/from train station (via funiculaire for example) and explore the city, close to the water and very easy walking distance to all major sites - good breakfast with fresh pancakes and fruits - very well-equipped room

- no AC (I think that might be normal in Switzerland and is even forbidden in some cantons (?)) but instead an extremely loud fan - way too much waste from individual wrappings at breakfast

The receptionist was very helpful and made us feel welcomed. I think we liked everything because she was smiling and assisting.

I didn’t like that we had to leave at 6 am and no one was at the reception, yet we didn’t know where to leave the key. I have sent my guest and had to return back to bring the key and make sure it is recorded.

The girl in reception was very friendly and helpful. We were offered an upgrade on our room, which we took. The rooms are spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location is ideal as we weren't too far from the funicular station, the old town and the lakeside.

It would ideal if they could offer plant-based milk at the breakfast buffet.

Location is great. Convenient 5min parking to drop things off. Hotel staff was great. We travelled with a baby who is used to sleeping on their own room. The suite had a door to the bedroom which allowed us to replicate this physical separation. Everything was clean. Staff promptly offered us authorization for blue zone and nearby parking for free. Breakfast was good and I would recommend for the convenience. They had high chairs for babies available. Overall, I'm happy with the stay and will definitely stay again once I visit the area.

I don't think I disliked anything.

The hotel has super clean rooms with a nice terrace, a good quality bed and pillows, and an very good breakfast buffet. Good location close to the lake.

Missed a bottle of water in the room. Water was available from the tap though. Interior is not the most recent one, so not a fancy hotel, but everything is super clean.
