Wonderful location on the top floor annex for a spectacular view of the setting sun over water! Sumptuously appointed, spacious room and balcony. Wonderful, welcoming and attentive staff. Excellent walk-in-walk-out for daytime discoveries of local sights.

Breakfast was a bit dull and not inclusive of usual Swiss staples (like natural yoghurt & cottage cheese). Access to the main hotel was fiddly and not suitable for poor mobility. Lighting (and signage) to the ‘driveway’ was poor for vehicle or pedestrians at night. Honestly, our rating would be higher had the room not been overpriced. CHF15 per dog.

Superb air conditioned room with a big, comfortable bed, spotless soft linen and a private terrace with a double width sun lounger looking out over the lake. The restaurant was superb whether for an evening meal on the terrace watching the sunset, or for the generous continental breakfast buffet. Plenty of parking and the hotel is a few minutes walk from the centre of Schmerikon which offers a good range of shops as well as train and boat station.

We didn’t find anything to dislike.

The hotel was right on the lake. It had a little swimming area with chairs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and I liked the wood ceiling and walls. Also had a ceiling fan.

I would have liked to have air conditioning, but I know that is not the norm in Europe.

Fantastic views, peaceful, with a lot of nature around, birds singing, flowers blooming, friendly staff, clean and very comfortable rooms, modern style, very nice terrace, little coffee corner in the room, great food at the restaurant, and view at the beautiful sunset

Practically everything was exceptional.The only little thing I didn't like was a hand shower (I never use the rain shower - and the hand one has too small stream, I was not feeling warm enough). Maybe the little shower curtain could help 😉

I’d suggest a shower screen rather than curtain but that’s all.

We stayed in one of the deluxe bungalows and the rooms are superb. Beautifully finished to a very high standard with lovely views over the lake. The staff are lovely - very friendly.

The rooms and restaurant are nice but both are quite expensive.

Outstanding staff, helpful, super nice, accommodating… great room; excellent breakfast!

Beautiful position, clean and comfortable room, very good food. Service good.

Service was a little brusque in one case.

The location was perfect with excellent vies of the lake and of so many different forms of wildlife. All the staff that I encountered were both friendly and genuine which was coupled with an excellent quality of service. The weekend was perfect.

The only thing that I could have made the stay better would have been if I'd had more time to stay longer. From booking a room to checking out, the operation was without fault. It will remain one of my favorite hotels.
