The hotel seems that has gone through a recent renovation and the rooms were amazing. Super comfy bed, fantastic lighting, with coffee maker provided, all details into account. Staff was super friendly and attentive. The restaurant was fantastic with a great ambience and view to the garden. The breakfast was just perfect!

They do not have a gym or fitness center, which seems to be something that many hotels in Switzerland are lacking. Swiss do not seem to be very font to indoor gyms. Nowadays this is a must have for hotels! :( Although, they offered the option of a private gym around the corner at a cost of 19 CHF per day.

We did not book for breakfast. The staff were great and very friendly. l love them. The staff helped us a lot by calling taxi for us and telling us were the restaurants were, they also gave us a 10% voucher when we went to chocolate factory. They also changed my room when I complained about the bed on the first room. Location was perfect and right in town and close to shopping centre. Location was great and perfect.

Glasses on all the tables. One got clacked as put my elbow on the table when looking at something with my husband on the laptop and I had to pay for it. They came and removed it. This made me uncomfortable so I was not free much in the room. overall the room was great and the hotel service was great.

Staff is exceptional. Helpful, motivated, welcoming, knowledgable. Breakfast is great. Cleanliness is high all over.

Could use a bit more vegetable varieties in breakfast. Room has several problems: We asked for a double bed and got two beds adjacents, and they moved during the night. It's pretty standard now, but the door between shower and room let light passes, which is very annoying. Everytime someone needs to use the bathroom, the whole room is flooded by light. Same goes for light turning on automatically when door is opened. It was really annoying since we do not wake up at the same hour. The window shaders are not really blocking all the light... Room lightning was very low. A/C is not very strong Location isn't the best, it's about 30m from city center.

Large room, well appointed with a large bathroom and comfortable beds. Our room was also very quiet which was great. It was really comfortable and we enjoyed staying there. We were also able to park overnight in front of the hotel which was convenient.

The balcony was fairly dirty and looked like it had not been cleaned for a while - which is surprising given Switzerland's high reputation for cleanliness- but not a big deal overall as we still managed to enjoy the fresh air it provided.

Breakfast & dinner was excellent- front desks very helpful & helpful for booking a tour

One thing very disappointed in was on check in was charged $40 F per night due to being 2 people — never in my life have experienced a charge for having your wife with you in a room , was a lot of positives to our stay but unfortunately some of that was undone by this extra charge- people go as husband & wife !!

I have regularly stayed at Engimatthof since my first time as a child in 1969. Since then it has undergone many beneficial changes. It is easy to reach, perfectly central and in a part of Zurich I am very familiar with. It never disappoints and is well worth the money. Stay there and walk to Bahnhofstrasse or take a 10 minute tram ride, the stop is just a few steps away. For Zurich, the perfect combination of location, price, ease of reach, parking, quality restaurant - it just works.

Breakfast ends at 10am sharp so don’t arrive at 9.45am expecting service after 10. The team starts clearing up at 10am on the dot so be sure to come with enough time to enjoy the lovely breakfast!☺️

Perfect location as its near to Silqcity Mall.. Room was spacious.. Got water bottles complimentary and kettle was given on request. Breakfast was OK. Tap water comes in good drinkable quality which is excellent.

Breakfast staff were not friendly. They seem to be like just too busy and no time to listen to us. Breakfast spread was quite disappointing for a non bacon eaters like us especially the Asian.. we only had breads, egg and fruits.. literally just that for 2 days.

Highly recommend Engimatt Hotel. We received such a warm welcome by the receptionist. We arrived earlier than the checkin time and they were very understanding and let us checkin early which was very kind and helpful after a long trip. Our room was very clean, the bathroom was also so clean with all the needed amenities. We really enjoyed the cozy environment in the room. The service of the staff by was very kind, all the staff were very helpful with every question we had. The location of the hotel is great, close to everything. The hotel is very clean and quite.

Very beautiful rooms, spotlessly clean and with a nice balcony overlooking a peaceful area. The restaurant is beautiful, with a lovely inner yard terrace and serves delicious food. The staff are extremely king and serviable.

The rooms are parqueted so you can hear the people walking in their rooms, especially if they’re in heels. Also, flushing the toilets makes noise that can be heard from rooms below.
