Nice spacious room, good location, very good breckfast, free soft drinks in minibar.

Lack of gim, and welness, peeling paint in the bathroom - not at the level 5*

Had an issue with the bed room AC , there was no maintenance at night so they told me to wait the next day , they provided a fan for the rest of the stay and living room was working. Ordered through the tablet and confirmed it by phone with the reception after half an hour they called and said kitchen closed because of the corona situation use apps to order food from outside Parking are sometimes limited and you need to get some one to tell you where to Park ( to get one car out )

Great staff - super friendly and went above and beyond. Fantastic location short tram ride or 10 minute walk to all shopping/restaurants. Beautiful spacious suite with all the amenities.

No restaurant on premises for lunch or dinner. Only one key per guest.

I started to stay at The Alden in 2012. I moved to Zürich in 2013, and sent colleagues to stay here. I moved in 2018 and continued to visit, returning to Zürich. Of all the hotel options, I believe The Alden is the best option in Zürich. The rooms are big, the location quiet, it’s a short walk to the lake and all the activities there, you can walk to many great restaurants, and it’s one block from the Tram 5 stop, which connects easily to all points east, west and north. The staff are always professional and kind. You simply cannot go wrong staying here.

Breakfast was excellent and lady managing the space was helpful and very happy. Made it a pleasure.

Option for bed was a heavy comforter. Hot in room unless you opened window then it was cold. A top sheet under comforter would have given myself and my wife comfort. The comforter was ok with her but too hot for me. The many small floor changes were easy to trip on especially at night.

Very spacious room, and a hotel in a great location (quiet, but close to the city centre). Don’t expect the buzz of a regular luxury hotel. It’s more a boutique apartment/suite hotel. Very friendly staff, and offering the (non-alcoholic) contents of the mini bar for free, is a nice gesture.

We had some issues with the lock of the door. The rooms are stylish, but some of the furniture requires renewal.

amazing location, exactly what we needed. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room (actually line a flat) is huge and so much space. Breakfast was good. Staff gave us water and chocolate upon departure.

It is a bit oldish but still charming, some walls in the room need to be refreshed. I think cleaning can be still a bit better since we felt a bit of an allergic to dust.

+ perfect location, easy parking and walking distance to city centre and lake + huge bedroom, great bed and bubblebath

- AC didn’t work so room was really hot. —> This is going to be fixed and we got free parking to compensate so great service!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very relaxing and enjoyable. Small touches such as a bottle of water when leaving the hotel were much appreciated.

Perhaps a slightly greater selection of cold food at the breakfast buffet but this is a minor observation - very little could have been improved.

The rooms are fantastic, very large and classy. Personnel is exceptionally kind and helpful. The hotel is cozy and comfortable, a short walking distance from everything: the business district, downtown, the lake.

An hotel of that standard should absolutely have a fitness room, that's no optional these days. The breakfast buffet could be a bit reacher, especially of "healthy options"
