It was really comfortable, the rooms were pretty big and the property was so relaxing. You can enjoy the beach and the swimming pool while drinking something refreshing. The staff was really nice and big thank you to Latifah,Charming,Iren,Ritha and Victoria from the reception: they were amazing every time. Looking forward to book here again next time!

I really had a wonderful time and it is hard to find something, but if I really I have to I would say that the restaurant menu “à la carte” is a bit limited especially for vegetarian. The rooms are not really sound proof and the corridors are open merging with the hallway and entrance.

We moved to Giraffe beach hotel from a nearby hotel that was very disappointing, and we were very pleased. The rooms were big and bright, the a/c working properly, the beds were comfortable and the shower very spacious and modern. The grounds are lush and green, plenty of slides and swings for the kids, two separate swimming pools for adults and kids (the latter was very large, which is really nice if you are traveling with kids). The internet was working with no disconnects (which is what we experienced at the other hotel), which is a bonus as we came for work, and the staff were overall very friendly and eager to help.

The communication between staff could be improved; we asked for a breakfast pack on the day we had to leave before the breakfast buffet was open, but it wasn't ready and had to rush so we wouldn't miss our flight. One evening they told me I could exchange USD to TZS at reception, the next morning they said they had no cash. Upon checkout they asked us to pay again for a meal we had paid for a few days ago. The breakfast buffet didn't have much variety (especially for jams, honey, and fruits).

We had a lovely stay here. The hotel is in an ideal location and easy to find. The beach is perfect and always kept clean. The room was spacious with modern amenities and clean. Staff are really helpful and approachable. We tried the cakes and coffee from Grab & Go and it was nice, large portions. We also are at Twiga and the food was really nice - I tried the grilled prawns and salad. Breakfast was a combination of cold and hot items including fruits, cakes and egg station. I’ll be staying here again when next in Dar! Thank you!

It seems that every hotel offers a similar breakfast in Tanzania. The juices were good and fruit fresh. We had a choice of how we could have our eggs. It was wonderful to eat our breakfast looking out to sea in a romantic setting.

Coming from the West, I am used to bacon being served with a cooked breakfast; but I know this is not served because of the Muslim element in the country. Hairdryers could be provided in guest rooms.

The Hotel has a modern Boutique style lobby and a very romantic Beach House at the end of the jetty, Both we could use for exceptional photo shoots. The beach is - compared to other properties in the same area - rather clean. AC and WiFi in the rooms are working well.

We missed some storage facility in the room itself, because we had lots of luggage and clothes. For a usual weekend stay with few clothes and other stuff, the space of the room should be sufficient.

A lot of thought was put into the design of the hotel. The interior and exterior have a very modern and eye catching design. The staff are also very well trained and professional.

Such a lovely hotel! Great staff and great ambience. I checked earlier than the usual time but Humphrey did his best to allocate me a room after a tiring journey. I loved that my room was spacious and clean with great views of the ocean. All in all, you would not regret staying at the Giraffe Beach Hotel. Excellent value for money! It's going down on my list of fantastic hotels in Dar.

We booked the hotel purely by luck. First time in Tanzania we initially planned to stay 4 days in city centre and ended up quickly changing our plans. We booked this hotel instead and we Liked everything about the hotel, room was very clean well equipped and nice ocean view. Wow!!! looking at sun set was breathtaking. bed was very comfortable and clean sheets. Staff were amazing and very helpful. The manager was always present and very helpful. And listen to you ensuring that you are enjoying your stay. Very nice, quite, and very relaxing place. Highly recommend the hotel.

Nothing really. Maybe breakfast could have had more variety. For example more fresh and local produce but this did not have an impact on our overall experience. This was just my expectations for breakfast and that's all.

I expected porcelain tea cups, stainless steel spoons and quality glasses with the coffee making facilities instead of plastic container instead glass and plastic spoons. If we have to use disposable coffee cups then place a good number of them unless you expect to re-use
