The hotel is pretty hard to find as it's not on the main road. Drivers have a difficult time finding it. You're better off giving the address of Alice Cafe, which faces the main road, and then just going down the alley a few steps to the hotel, which will be on the right.

I had a deluxe room with king-size bed (can be two single beds), room 209. Good WiFi (login good for one device; I was given two logins on arrival; logins expire in three days, then ask for another). Well-placed electrical outlets in the room. Vanity table can serve as desk, but the current stool needs replacing. Small-ish pool, often full of kids, sometimes noisy (all rooms face the pool in the inner courtyard). Pool officially closes at 8 pm, but some nights it was in use beyond that. Taxi to the airport can be booked at Reception (pre-pay TB600, including freeway tolls). Breakfast 200TB is a buffet, or you can order a vegan bowl of rice with veg. Many families choose this place. Alice Cafe is affiliated.

Hard to find. Taxi driver wouldn’t look at the helpful map I’d printed out from the hotel website, but we eventually found it. A hotel sign is also across the street, so it’s confusing. Reception desk is down a narrow alley beside Alice Cafe, past Happy Owls, in conjunction with Issara Hostel. TV in room but no English-language stations.

Calm, quiet hotel in the city center. The pool was a big plus on hot days. The room was clean, we got a bottle of water per person every day. A short walk from the 7/11 and the morning market where we used to go for breakfast.

The location was fantastic. Walking distance to many famous attractions. Close to the river and Koh San Road. A very quiet street amongst the hustle and bustle. The pool was great to cool off after sightseeing, and the energy was very chilled out. The room was exactly as sold, and the price reflected this. Breakfast was great. Well maintained and clean. I would highly recommend it.

The restaurant and bar area was a little quiet/underused. More ambience here would have been good. It's more expensive than going out to eat and drink and we were there in June so possibly it is busier in peak times.

We had a twin room which was very spacious, comfortable, light and clean. It was properly cleaned each day. Breakfast had plenty of choices, including vegetarian ones. We liked the area in the day time, great Chinese and Indian shops and cafes; and Wat Rachabhopit right across the street is stunning. Walking distance to Grand Palace etc, Khao San and Rajadamnern.

You have to be able to walk stairs. The pool area (loungers and water) wasn't very clean and is almost always busy. Be aware where you walk at night, it is safe to walk to Khao San, but not in all other directions.

The pool is a great addition to a hotel with average rooms. We enjoyed the breakfast and the staff was very nice. There is little or no traffic noise as the hotel is in a little ally off the Main Street. Not much food in the area although we found a couple of street food vendors. The wat across the street is beautiful and there’s virtually no one there. A good central budget hotel with a pool is hard to find.

The rooms face a central courtyard and the swimming pool. Many people hang in the exterior hall and smoke. The doors aren’t exactly tight so smoke can get into your room. The pool is over chlorinated especially if you want to take a dip before bed. Seems they service the pool about 6-7 pm. Rooms a bit worn but the bed was comfy.

Perfect Location, near to every attraction (wat arun, khoa san road,…)!! Quiet street and nice pool. Great morning market 3min away, we ate local breakfast there everyday.

Pretty thin walls (if you have loud neighbors, might be annoying).

We came too early, more hours earlier than we could officially take our rooms. The stuff was very kind, without any additional cost, we could occupy one of our rooms (we booked 2 rooms, the other one was still not ready) and we could already enjoy the pool. We liked that we were close to many places that we wanted to visit. The place is central, but still quiet. The breakfast and restaurant-food were good (the variety could be bigger but for 3-4 days it should do, probably one should not eat only in the hotel anyway). The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable.

The family room has 2 rooms, we hoped that not all the beds will be in the same room. Although the beds were in the same room, we could all sleep quite well. (I believe that some family rooms are different)

This hotel has character! This was our first time visiting Bangkok, so I didn't know what to expect from the hotel. It was lovely! Tucked down an alley next to a nice cafe, it's quiet because all of the rooms face into the central courtyard. The bed was huge, and comfortable. The bathroom had the basic necessities, and always enough towels. It's a shower room, so most of the bathroom floor does get wet. Outside the door of the rooms are chairs and old school desks where you can smoke; this was a nice detail. In the middle of the courtyard is a swimming pool. There's a comfy covered lounge area where my husband and I watched a thunderstorm one night. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of Thai options plus cereal and fruit, toast, etc. Location was perfect for us because we wanted to explore Old Town, walked to the Grand Palace and Wat Phra. Took a tuktuk to Khaosan Road/Rambuttri Alley. We also got to Chinatown easily.

The pool closes a bit early for me. There were a lot of kids playing in it during the day, and I would have liked to have gone for a quiet evening swim.

Location was great for sightseeing. situated in a quiet area with cafe attached to hotel. Pool & restaurant outside the door as located on ground floor. Free washing machine was a bonus. Buffet breakfast was ok and restaurant was good for main meal. Room was as per photos. We had the ground floor suite with king bed and 2 singles in one room with a small living area and spacious bathroom.

Bed was a bit too firm and would have been good to have a clothes airer to place clothes on to dry. Also more hooks for wet towels to hang on.
