Our second stay at hotel mermaid was as comfortable as the first. Great location, quiet, very clean, good value for money and lovely pool. The gentleman on door was extremely courtious and all staff very helpful. AC cold & the most comfortable bed in Thailand!!

A very quiet place and comfortable room. Very clean everywhere... lobby,pool,hallways, etc. Good bedding and soft pillows. Good lighting. Smooth check-in and check-out.

The top ceiling rain shower is almost useless considering the low pressure water. The push button light system is very annoying, particularly in the dark... Why do you not stay stuck with the simple &easy flipping switch??? There are a few issues with the make-up rooms. I left my room around 1:30 p.m. and came back around 4:00 p.m. and the room wasn't made up, even if I left the green sign asking for make-up... it happened 3 times in one week. I addressed the issue at the reception, and they've been very responsive...fortunately!

I love the location as it is close to everything but not too close as to always be stuck in traffic and noise outside. the hotel staff were always polite and helpful. The price i paid for the hotel over new year was less the half of the nearest hotel with a similar category so i cant complain on anything. whilst there was a connecting door in the room i didnt hear anything else from the other rooms in the 6 days i stayed there. my room was on the eight floor so no street noise or neigbour noise etc. The room had the desk for working, and all the basic things that I expect to find in a similar hotel. Whilst the place is not new, my room was clean and more than good enough for sleeping and working.

The room sir really nicely appointed it's a great bathroom and it's super quiet at night. Air condition worked well and it has twin elevators that are intelligent so you're never more than 10 to 15 seconds away from an elevator regardless of which floor you're on. Location is excellent you can go anywhere from here and the MRT and rail lines are within a 10 minute walking distance. Great shops good food and a safe location. I think this is a real value as a hotel regarding the prices they have in this extraordinary area. I've certainly enjoyed my stay here and plan to come back in the future. Highly recommend it.

There is construction going on in the area however the hotel is so well insulated that I am never disturbed by it. The traffic can get incredibly congested here so I recommend that people get used to using MRT and BRT for their transportation needs. They are too stunning shopping complexes within walking distance so this will probably take care of the majority of your needs. The other thing is this is a fairly pricey area in comparison to other areas of Bangkok so you will pay a premium for your meals and everything else.

We stayed for 4 nights. The room was very spacious after the room we had in Singapore. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in throughout Asia. The bathroom is large with a bath and separate shower. We had a balcony that overlooked the pool. The breakfast is at the hotel next door and the food on offer was amazing. The hotel is in a laneway not far from the main strip, we did have some difficulty finding a restaurant for dinner but we were looking for Street Food type places and a lot of the places were more high end International food which is not what we wanted in Thailand. The staff were amazing and the doorman always opened the door for us with a smile and a salute.

There is not much that we could not like about this hotel, would stay there again if we had more time to explore the surrounding area, but we only had 4 days and spent most of that doing a few day tours.

Lovely hotel in centre of city. Great location for nearby restaurants, shopping and entertainment. The room and hotel is very clean. The room was comfortable and spacious. All staff were kind and helpful. The extra score from me, was because I got sick on the last day. Reception and the manager were very caring about me, helped me find a doctor. After, they continued to check on me and make sure that I was ok. Really kind.

This is kind of a gem of a hotel when you compare room size, comfort level, a balcony, great location, and most important in comparison is the cost, which is very reasonable. It is down a side alley not far at all from Sukhimvit and centrally located to very easy walking distance to BTS and various bars and places to eat.

Well, there really was not a lot to not like, it is going to get a little noisy after 8:00 AM because there is contruction of something being built next door but it is not really much of an issue, I could sleep thru it. The front desk is only one person so if multiple people want to check in or check out you will have some wait time. There is a comfortable couch and chairs around the reception so waiting is comfortable in a colorful front room (love the blue tiled floor which looks like the ocean)

Loved our room with a soft, comfortable bed, good sized balcony and huge bathroom with a fabulous bathtub and shower (hot water and great pressure as well as size). The doorman became a highlight of the hotel for us who was so friendly, funny and kind! Nothing was too much for him.

The pool is very cold as it's not heated and doesn't get much sun throughout the day, but if you want a refreshing dip, then it's great! The hotel is a little run down, but the room was great. Front desk staff were not so friendly, but these are all minor details that were picked up by the other benefits.

The hotel is situated in an excellent location, offering convenience and accessibility. It’s just a short 5-minute walk to the BKK SkyTrain, making it easy to explore the city. Surrounded by major shopping centers such as Emporium and Terminal 21, along with numerous others, can say it’s good for shopping enthusiasts (not cheap though) . Despite its central position, the street is pleasantly quiet and not overly crowded. There are options for restaurants around.

The hotel, while generally fine, is starting to show its age and could use some updates. The reception staff were nice and helpful, and any minor communication hiccups were easily resolved. The swimming pool, located on the ground floor and surrounded by tall buildings, wasn’t particularly impressive, as it lacked openness and views, but it was still a functional space for a quick dip.

The location was fantastic to get around Bangkok using the public transport systems - much better than being stuck in traffic! The hotel was one of my favourite stays whilst I’ve been travelling and ended up booking 5 additional nights! Staff were amazing - friendly and helpful! The hotel itself was spotless and rooms cleaned daily! Loved my stay here! Would definitely come back again next time I’m in Bangkok!

Construction work on hotel next door but it seemed to be nearing completion whilst I was there.
