I have been a few times now. If you want to be by the river and see the attractions, Grand Palace, What Po, Wat Arun etc and not be in the hustle and bustle of Bangkok , this is the perfect location. Near to the pier in lovely Thai area. The guest house is extremely clean and comfortable. I reccomend deluxe rooms with private toilet and shower. But all rooms are good. Sompong the landlady is very helpful and smiling. Stairs are a bit steep if you have a problem with stairs but deluxe are ground floor. I love the place and the area . 7 11 across the road and If you want to go to Bangkok there are taxis or download bolt.

I like everything

We really liked this place. It's very clean and they are friendly. Free water to refill. Very good WiFi connection. The little cafe in front have delicious food and one of the best coffee I drunk already in Souteast Asia. We stayed one week and liked to extend with one or two weeks because we really loved it so much, pity it was full booked and we couldn't extend.

At the first sight the area looked very far away from everything, but when we looked closer to the public transportation we noticed it's not at all like that. Their is a direct bus to the busy centre of Bangkok every 20 minutes and in 20 minutes walking (or a bus from 5 minutes) you are in the busy Khao San.

The shower, toilet, and common area and also the room were spotless. The owner and personal were really friendly. The room was smartly decorated. Good mattress and a night quiet. Nearby the small dock to get easily to the main attractions or the scenic sight from the river, Wat Arun. Nearby, just over the main bridge, a local food frenzy is there every night. Busses Nearby. Going to the bus station is tricky, but we took the ferry more than the metro and walked 15 minutes. Easy as pie. 7/11 around the corner. Even soap and shower gel in the shower. Towels incl... everything fresh! Daily cleaning of the mutual areas The WiFi is good, and the interior is splendid, fresh with an antique twist. We loved it.

Nothing really

It was comfortable. Basic needs provided. You have to take off your shoes every time you go inside the vicinity which is totally okay for me but not for my partner who doesn't want to step on the floor barefoot. So make sure to bring an inside sleeper if you have issues with walking in the common area without shoes on. It's near 7)11, a restaurant that serves western dishes, a local noodle shop and it's walking distance to a street market that sells fruits, street foods, fish and vegies. And a tip, tuktuk is very expensive! If you prefer cheaper, install bolt. So much cheaper. We paid only 250 thb for an hour ride on bolt vs thb 150 for 5 mins ride on tuktuk.

Clean, well taken care of, staff is amazing. Our personal items were taken care of. We loved every bit of it. Especially for our first time ever in Bangkok, they make it feel like home. Even though the bathrooms and showers are shared, we never found ourselves waiting on others to use those facilities.

Only thing that we thought was that it’s a bit far from things like Khaosan, Chinatown and other large areas. However, it’s a quiet oasis and nice to come home to at night even if it’s a bit of a walk to get back to the hostel.

The bed was Firm and very comfortable. The king suit I had for 6 days, has a great feeling and a view of the street from the the second floor. There was free hot and cold water I could get near the entrance on the ground floor any time day or night. I could ask for rubbish bags or shampoo anytime. The lady of the house said if I wanted access to the balcony any time, I only had to ask her. The staff where very friendly and helpful. There is a market nearby that sells fresh and cooked food. The ferry is walking distance and the bus no 3 goes from nearby to the chatuchat market.

I would have been nice to have access to a broom so I could sweep out the room occasionally. Everything else was fine

Everything was like in the picture and as presented on booking. The personnel were adorable and really sweet, the bedroom was really clean (even under the bed !) We never had to wait to take our shower or go to the toilet. The location is perfect for transportation (bus in the same street, grab and taxi easy to order, MRT not so far) There is also a 7-eleven at 1 min walk and a night market at 10min walk (close to the river side direction Khao San Road) the locals are really caring people's and the area is safe even at night.

The Sawardee Guesthouse is a beautiful place for sone great Bangkok adventures. Near the River and not far away from Khaosan Road, in walking distance to the Metro Station. Sompong is very kind, always helpful, and she has a good humour. We come herr every time we visit Bangkok. On the street outside the Hostel, there‘s always a Tuktuk or a Taxi waiting to bring you around Town. As I am travelling with kids it is wortg saying that I feel very secure at Sompong‘s place, also it is very clean.

I stayed in the Queen Room which was exactly as pictured. The room was clean, the AC worked great, and there was plenty of room. The facilities were clean and there was a place to fill up your water bottle with cold water. You have to scan your key card to get in the gate so it feels secure. There is a great restaurant next door and a 7/11 across the street on the corner. Tons of food vendors lining the street that you can try. there is a temple nearby and the river. The host was very friendly at check in. It is in a quieter part of Bangkok but that meant there was a bit of a walk to get to the center of the city. Overall, if staying for a few days I would recommend

The walls are a bit thin, and being on the bottom floor I could hear people moving around at all hours of the night. I could also hear the showers and sinks every time they turned on as they made a loud noise.

The accommodation was beautiful! Lovely wood and stone flooring throughout. The room was a bit small, but maybe not out of the ordinary for a hostel room in Southeast Asia. Shower came equipped with shampoo and body wash, and there was a laundry service that we didn’t use, but probably would have been worth it had we stayed longer than one night. The owner was also very sweet and patient with us!

Like I said, the room was a bit cramped for 2 people, but we spent most of the day out sightseeing so wasn’t a huge deal.
