This property was unexpectedly well located. The nearest station is Sam Yot on MRT, then you can take a Tuk Tuk for 50/60 baht or walk. On exiting the property if you turn right and follow road around you come to an amazing market where you can buy meals daily or cotton -shirts and all sorts of clothing at really really cheap prices. It is a clothing wholesale area but some merchants sell single pieces. Exiting the property turn left and left again you come to a 7/11 convenience store. This is also the bus stop for the number 15 which takes you most places and you return on the opposite side of the road - use the overhead walkway to cross the road. The number 8 runs from here straight to Chatchuthak market! Above all Min who manages this property is very helpful, informative and full of tips. The husband and wife team who man reception are also excellent. Rooms are cleaned properly. I travelled alone and felt very safe. The common area to sit overlooking the canal is a real bonus but cover up with mosquito repellent!. Finally, you can take river boats from this area straight into the centre avoiding the traffic. What a wonderful find this property. I would definitely stay again.

Everything was great! I had to extend my stay so I ended up staying here for 3 weeks or so. I hope that the property continues its strict security and not allowing third parties to stay or any undesirables. As long as it remains a safe place for backpackers of all ages - quiet night sleeping and no rowdy people it will shine for years to come!

The location is good for exploring the area, the bed is hard but not lumpy, perfect for me after a long flight. The air con is ice cold. It is a budget room and I'm writing this review based on the price I paid. My only criticism would be it needs some painting but it looks like it's still a project, and this is more of helpful advice to the owners rather than something that bothered me. The view out the window of the canal has boats rushing past and you can see the local houses which all looks good. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and returned my deposit. I felt safe and comfortable.

Painting

The room is quite clean. However, there are cockroches and insects in the room that I had to deal with. Once I turned the AC on, they tend to go away. It may be the warm atmosphere that attracts them.

A spare toilet paper would be nice to have. A hand soap in the toilet would be excellent improvement to install. This would be a major change but relevant to mention that the bed is not cushioned well, it uncomfortable to sleep on as it gets heated quite quickly.

Close to the Grand Palace. Staff were extremely helpful and I extended my stay for 3 more nights. Internet signal was very weak due to the room being quite far but they resolved it by providing a different nextwork upon my request.

Initial check in was confusing. You'll only receive the agreed price if paid by cash. I (solo traveler) was told to pay x3 if I wanted to use card. Used up almost all my cash just for this..

Location is​ closed​ to​ golden mount, china​ town, khaosan​ road​ and​ grand​ palace.​ Can​ take​ water​ taxi​ to​ the​ downtown​ in​ about​ 15​ minutes.​ Chatuchak weekend​ market​ is​ over​ 30​ minutes​ by​ bus. Recommend to​ take​ grab​ taxi​ if​ it's​ not​ with​ meters​ to​ avoid being​ overpriced.

WiFi​ works well.​ But​ you​ need​ to​ log​ in​ if​ you​ are​ not​ active for​ about​ 15​ minutes.​ But​ it's​ okay.​

The room was super comfortable and hat everything you need (towels, hairdryer, shampoo, AC) toilet and shower have been separated which is a big bonus for me. Lot of attractions are easily walkable.

Bed was quite hard, but this seems to be an issue with beds in Thailand in generell. Not really that accessible with public transport. Took the metro and a Grab afterwards since traveling with the bus lines was too much stress after 13h of flight.

Great accommodation for those on a budget. You can travel and have a good sight seeing tour around the local market. Transport is not a problem especially traveling to work or conference.

My dislike would be, I was accommodated at the top floor and the hotel does not have elevator.

The ladies at the reception were really nice and helpful. The common space with the view on the river.

One morning there was a loud celebration at the temple in front of the hotel from 7am. For disabled or elderly people, just know that there are quite a lot of stairs to reach the reception and rooms. But the personal could help you with the luggage. Thank you for that.

Everything was perfect. The room and hotel was very clean. Everything works: hot water, wifi, AC. The location is great, just nearby Golden Mount temple, easy to find, you will not get lost. in centre, silent and safe area, walking distance to everywhere, even to Arun temple, The hotel has unique and beautiful design. Staff very kind, friendly and helpful.
