Amazing, serene setting. The rooms are off a decking area surrounding a pool with lush greenery and tranquil music. They are all in traditional wooden style and my room had a 4 poster bed and spa bath. It's a half hour walk to the old town but is close to the river cruise departure point. The staff are so friendly and helpful.

The pillows were so thick that I got neck ache! It would have been good if there was a bedside lamp so I didn't have to get out of bed to turn off the light after reading. You could hear all the noise from outside as the room is directly next to the outdoor seating area and the road.

Our hotel room was beautiful and stunning. We made good use of the big spa tub in the room and the bed was firm yet comfy. The staff were always present in the courtyard to say hi to and were very attentive during breakfast. This hotel is in a great location, quiet on the streets, but within comfortable walking range to night markets and the city center (we are avid walkers).

The courtyard pool was too cold for our taste. We really wanted to enjoy it, but we opted for the spa tub in the room instead. The tv in the room was giving us some trouble. We couldn't figure it out, but we decided the tv wasn't even necessary in the midst of the outdoor beauty.

A lovely peaceful oasis in Chiang Mai. Friendly and helpful staff and a very relaxing setting. Rooms were spacious and beautiful and breakfast next to the pool was lovely. The staff remembered what we liked to drink in the morning and had it ready and waiting. All around a lovely small hotel. We would definitely recommend it.

We had booked the 3 bedroom apartment as we are travelling as a family of five. It doesn't state on booking.com that this isn't in the actual hotel but a separate building, which is nothing like the beautiful decor of the hotel. We were very disappointed and felt that we had been mislead with the booking. Thankfully the hotel wasn't full and the staff were very understanding and moved us to two lovely rooms in the main hotel. We had a fantastic stay, but we would probably have looked for a different hotel to check into and asked for a refund if they couldn't have accommodated us. It should be clearly stated on booking.com that the three bedroom apartment isn't part of the main hotel. My positive review of the hotel is based on the rooms we were luckily moved to.

The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Nothing was too much to ask. They went the extra mile and front desk staff available 24 hours. They even cleaned our shoes when we get back from a muddy hike. Free airport pick up when we arrived. Heaps of cafes and restaurants near by. Easy to grab a tuk tuk or red truck from our hotel location. Breakfast was simple but delicious! A western and Thai option. They sent someone to get me some soy milk on the first morning which was nice. Best sticky rice with mango we've had in thailand.

Can barely fault this place. Only thing was the beautiful teak timber presented a challenge for my allergies. No fault of the hotel. A few more breakfast options would have been nice but it didn't matter because we loved what they provided.

The hotel is very beautiful, very clean and the rooms very spacious and clean, good isolation and sense of privacy , the staff were extremely nice , I would definitely stay there again ! Breakfast was ok-ish but with the free coffee and free Thai tea flow and mango and sticky rice everyday I can’t complain! The pool was very cold which I loved since the weather was sooooo hot and it indeed helped you to refresh !

The pillows were extremely hard and the beds are typical hard Thai beds so I can’t say that I was resting very well because of this.

Everything about this hotel is ideal. The traditional feel and layout is so lovely, whilst having all the modern amenities. The staff are incredible, the omelette was the best we have eaten, ever. Lovely sitting by the pool in an oasis for breakfast or drinks. Beautiful hotel rooms (the bathroom is exceptional) very comfy beds - Thailand is known for having harder style but these were lush. Walking distance to so many places - including the night market. Highly recommend going to 137 Pillars House for high tea or a drink. Again the staff couldn't have been more accommodating, so many happy faces and we look forward to going back. It's an absolute hidden treasure in the heart of the hustle and bustle.

Nothing. They excel at everything and it's such a treat to stay there.

This small lanna style boutique hotel is an oasis amidst the huzzle and buzzle of Chiang Mai, a real gem . Its location is very good , a little away of it all, but at short walking distance to river Ping , nightmarket/bazar, sunday walking street at Thapae Gate in the old walled city. The hotel grounds , rooms and alike are nicely decorated with lanna style items. The rooms and beds are spacious and comfortable, so is the separate bathroom equipped with rainshower and jacuzzi A la carte breakfast is delicious. The staff very kind , polite , helpful and above all professional. The lobby provides for 24/7 free coffees and teas. There's also a nice, beit small , pool, surrounded by trees , plants and flowers. We enjoyed our stay at this place very much , and would like to recommend it to others

For what it's worth: the TV in the room was an old model , no sharp images / "snowy" and too small sized for a big room like ours No big deal whatsoever ! After all we're not in Chiang Mai to look tv all day long.......

The outstanding thing about the hotel is the staff. Always smiling and always ready to help. Breakfast was excellent and coffee was available all day. The hotel is within a five minute walk to an excellent night market where the food is varied and very good. Taxis are always available at the hotel and are very inexpensive.

The property is a beautiful old building, is very clean and comfortable but is a little tired.

The staff were polite, friendly and very welcoming. And the free coffee/tea was an added bonus. Breakfast was more than enough. In fact, I preferred this style of cooked, ordered breakfast to the major hotels’ buffet style eat-till-you-drop type of breakfast. My only negative comment is that the housekeeping/cleaning staff did not clear our coffee cups in the room nor top up the coffee/tea. But overall, we had an amazing stay….

The housekeeping staff could be a little more thorough.

The pre-booking process was easy. It is located in the Chang Khlan area, close to some lovely restaurants, Night market on Changklan rd, Wat Chai Monkhon, and Mae Ping River Cruise is nearby. On arrival, the staff are lovely, welcoming, and helpful. The hotel itself is Lanna style in design and decor, with lovely leafy gardens and extensively carved timber buildings and features as well as beautiful hand painted murals. There is a peaceful, relaxing ambiance in this hotel. I loved the size of my room with a high ceiling and lots of space. The furniture is timber with some ornately carved pieces. The four poster king size bed, with a beautiful mosquito net, is comfortable with good quality linen. The ensuite bathroom has plenty of space with a spa bath as well as a shower with a large rainfall shower head. I was very happy to stay at this lovely hotel.

The credit/debit card scanner requires an update as it could not read my Samsung wallet.
