Everything- this Hotel is situated in the old town part of Chiang Mai, found easy access to taxis and Tul tuk, lots to do and see within the area, walking around ,Temples everywhere, also great coffee shops and cafes. Hotel is small only 30+ rooms with very friendly staff who are genuinely pleasant and attentive. I don’t think I have Ever stayed anywhere as clean ! The staff are constantly cleaning communal areas and so the place is spotless. Great aircon, except in lift and corridor. Breakfast was a good range of Thai and European foods, like toast and cereal, coffee,tea ,juice etc. Always fresh fruit and some yummy Thai foods to try. I love eating curries for breakfast, I know that doesn’t appeal to everyone but if you expect everything to be as in your home country- why bother to travel ! I thought breakfast was great with the basic staples every morning but a variety of warm dishes too. Staff were really helpful in explaining what unfamiliar foods were. Room and decor throughout the hotel was clean and Minimalist , beds very comfortable and showers were amazing. Fridge in room and endless supply of cool bottle water and coffees always available from help yourself machine in downstairs area. A small but beautiful pool area, however more than adequate for a cool off. Can get laundry done and returned to you the same day for a reasonable fee. I would return to Por Arak in a heartbeat if returning to Chiang Mai.

Chic hotel with everything you can wish for! The staff was amazing, friendly and helpful! The hotel on the smaller side, which was nice and cosy! And the breakfast was delicious! New and clean! We spent three nights there and would highly recommend it! 🤗

The only “negative”, although it didn’t bother us, was that you had to walk a little to get to the restaurants and “action”!

The breakfast and coffee/tea, snack and cut fruits through whole day. We can come to the lobby to unwind ourselves and have a cup of coffee or tea or cut fruits at anytime of the day. Staff are extremely pleasant, warm and helpful. They greet us at all time and chat with us. Room is very clean and internet is strong. The breakfast has very good spread. They even allowed us to checked in early as there was an available room. Free bicycle to cycle around the city. Room rate is reasonable and location in old city which is quite convenient for us and near airport (5 km away).

The single bed is light and moves easily. Breakfast though good spread can be better if offers different menu on different days. We stayed 4 days and had the same breakfast daily. Perhaps more programmes on TV as we couldnt go out in the afternoon due to the intense heat.

This is a lovely new boutique hotel in the old town part of Chiang Mai; I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there just a few weeks after it opened. Everything is very clean, modern, and comfortable, and the staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. There's a delicious breakfast buffet in the morning featuring Thai and western food, as well as bottled water, fresh fruit, and other snacks available 24/7 (all complimentary). It's on a quiet side street (no noise at night when you're trying to sleep!) and I enjoyed the sparkling clean pool in between my daytime wandering and evening adventures.

Staff were so lovely, fruit, coffee and snacks on tap, location was great. Definitely better to be out of the tourist areas, but not far to walk to the local night markets and tuk tuk and grab are cheap to get anywhere you want! Bed was so comfy and rooms quiet - couldn’t hear anyone else!

Nothing really. If I’m being picky, you might want a few more sun loungers in peak season but we were always able to get the two available. Balconies were small, but again plenty of outdoor communal space to use.

All of staff greeted our family with their full of understanding, generous mind and providing lot of trip information. Especially the staff named Cartoon has an excellent skill of treating customer with her strength and all of staff members were so helpful whenever I needed an assistance.

One of my room had an issue with water drainer in the washroom. The staff arranged the technician to check our room as soon as possible and made sure the next plan if we do not satisfied with the room after the check in by technician. Thanks for all the staff's hard work!

Por Arak is a little oasis tucked in old town Chiang Mai. The staff went above and beyond - they’re very accommodating and answered all our questions. 5 stars to the staff Breakfast is automatically included in your stay and the food was always delicious - mix of western and Thai breakfast dishes with lots of fruit. There was unlimited water and coffee/tea. Loved! Their focus on eco-friendly products and practices added to my love for Por.

Wow! Big compliments for this hotel. Service of a 5 star hotel. Very kind and friendly personal. Genuine interested and helpful. They also booked motorbike rent for us and called several rental companies as others were already fully booked. Finally they succeeded and motor bike was braught to the hotel. Great hot shower:good beds. free water in glass bottles. Sustainable hotel. Also coffee tea cookies and fresh fruit free available. In the old quarter of chiang mai so very good location. Good breakfast with good choice and changing menu. .yesterday extra: pumpkin soup and today curry pineapple with Rice. Ofcourse als eggs, breed, Milk, etc available. I would certainly go back.

. Clean, comfortable small hotel in a super central position . We had a room on the inner courtyard ( pool) and was enough quiet to allow us to sleep with open windows. The room is big , very functional, shower a dream ( so much water pression ) , bed really top. Staff is friendly, attentive . Breakfast was great and also the touches of some free food , water, milk available whole day long were appreciated . Fair prices for the laundry , elevator , clean pool ( I was all the time alone ). We can highly recommend the place

Maybe the staff would work more on giving tips about the nearby locations , sightseeing. Most of the time they didn’t have a clear idea about the places I was talking about. Should be easier to have a manager on site , just to know whom you have to refer to.
