The lovely beachhouse. The beautiful view of the ocean. The intire resort is very unique and well made. Beds the best we slept in ever at Koh Samui. The decor is stunning in the room. Everything is well thought out. Bathrooms lovely too. Nice aircondition and new towels everyday. Son’t stay here if you want to swim in the ocean. Stay here if you like to tan and go for a dip in the pool.

You have a view of the ocean but no beach. The tide makes the water very low and it’s full of sharp corals. The pool is outdated. the wood around the pool is covered with rugs of fake grass, because the wood is so rotten underneath. The breakfast was toast, cornflakes and the rest was warm thai breakfast. No restaurants or shops near by. Be ready to rent a car/bike or take a cap. Restaurant is expensive! (And the only place to eat for miles)

The staff are extremely friendly and polite. They help you book transport and day trips and you never feel unwelcome or a burden to them. If you book an early day trip so you miss breakfast they will pack you a cute breakfast to bring. You can feel the good chemistry between all the staff, both kitchen and reception and waiters etc. which is great. The location is on a slope which gives all the huts unique views of the area and you can see parts of the ocean from almost anywhere. Large plants between the huts provide a sense of privacy despite the huts being fairly close to each other. The bar by the pool is quiet and activity level vary depending on whether there are families with children. Generally not a place for heavy drinking which is nice. They provide pool towel and bathrobe and slippers. The bathrobe is amazing. Breakfast is amazing with a variety of Thai classics and new small Thai desert each day. Coffee is superb and there’s also coffee for grinding and brewing in the room. The lighting in the bathroom is cosy and warm.

Exposed bulbs with white light is a little sharp on the eyes. I’m not sure how I feel about the large dogs (5-6?) being kept in a small glass enclosure but they looked happy and staff walked each dog every day. The doors don’t have a closing mechanism (can only be closed with a padlock) and the WC facilities are sort of outside. So it can be hard to keep mosquitos out. The beach beds could use some padding, most of them didn’t have cushions. In general more cushions would be nice also in the restaurant.

We stayed in Villa 9 was perfect position with a sea view and pool view although still was private. The sunsets at this resort are mind blowing. You can organise hire car, taxi tours all at reception.

The buffet breakfasts are very average and hit and miss to if stocked or not. Toaster is on coals and most times only heats the bread. Breakfast same thing pretty well each day would be nice if the had a chef doing Thai omelettes. The door to our bathroom jambs when shut and wakes the other person in the room trying to opens and close the door which needs to be shut to keep mosquitos out. Needs adjusting.

This was overall our favourite stay in Thailand. Such a beautiful hotel, with lovely staff and a nice location making it a very relaxing place to stay. The rooms are very spacious and the hammock that belongs to each bungalow is a very nice addition. Bikes can be borrowed free of charge which was great for short distances, for additional charge hotel also helps arrange scoters. Also great breakfast with many options :)

The beach of the hotel when going into the water is quite rocky with crabs, so not really convenient to go in barefoot. The shower water temperature was only warm but didn't get hot.

I was completely restored after 2 weeks staying at The Mud. Staff were friendly, helpfull and enthusiastic. I had a hut right by the sea and enjoyed many beautiful sunsets. The pool was very clean and the gardens kept well. The meals were very well prepared and I recommend "morning glory" a healthy dish that my body loved. Had the pleasure of a few massages. The best I've ever had. If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing environment then this is the place. Close enough to nearby Nathan town and plenty of tours organised by the most exceptional reception staff. Also kids would like the chickens, huge friendly dogs ,emu's and rope bridge. Safe and secure. Great beds, air con and showers.. A special thanks to the lovely Jeep 💗

That I had to leave 🙂

The huts are spacious and really charming! The small pool was fine for us and a baby to cool down in. NB there is only one tide cycle/day here! At low tide the water moved far down the beach, but you can easily walk to it and splash around with kids. The restaurant and cafe served nice food at an acceptable price.

The beach is not great for swimming. The property is in a quiet part of the island, which is great if you’re ok just hanging out in the resort. Scooter rental at the property if you want/can take longer trips.

Everything was super nice, breakfast and restaurant are amazing, the food is really delicious and the staff is so kind and caring. The little houses are amazing, big bedroom with all the comfort you need, super close to the beach where you can see an amazing sunset from the pool!

Not so many people from the staff talk in English, so it's not so sometimes it's not easy to make you understand what you need or what you're looking for. Another little detail was the shower, not so much pressure and not so many water came, but it was not a problem, we've been able. to enjoy our time

Amazing location, right on the beach. Perfect view of the sunset. Loved the decor and layout of the hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious. Big comfortable bed. Nice bathroom and shower facilities. Nice terrace with a hammock! Food was excellent. Everything very reasonably priced. Good pool/pool bar area. Very friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for you. We had an early morning boat trip and we were even given a nice breakfast to take with us. Quiet location, very relaxing but also easy enough to take a taxi to busier areas such as fisherman’s village if you want. Would definitely recommend.

Nothing - everything was perfect.

• The huts were absolutely amazing. Very spacious, stunningly decorated and spotless. • The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. • The restaurant was lovely, the food and drinks were great. The pricing not bad either. • Onsite massages available to book, access to a nice pool and the sea. Overall, this was our favourite hotel that we’ve stayed at whilst travelling Thailand, it was just so relaxing and luxurious… we never wanted to leave!

• The only thing I could potentially say was a downside was the location. Although not a big deal for us, the site was a little out of the way and there wasn’t much in walking distance. As I say, this wasn’t an issue for us, however, may be for others.

We Loved the MUD! Quiet escape and authentic experience :) The beach was interesting because it had High and Low tide - For me this was fascinating I loved how everyday was a little bit different! Restaurant had great variety and was delicious - My friends on the trip considered it " expensive " compared to other areas in Thailand BUT, I found it reasonable and could justify the cost with value and there was truly not many options around and the ones that were were similar pricing! Breakfast was a HIGHLIGHT tons of options, Authentic Thai food + western food along with Fresh Fruit - yummy coffee ! THE ROOMS WERE amazing!!!!!!! Loved everything about them - If you are looking for nightlife this is not the place for you - If you want off the beaten path, quiet and in nature! This is the place for you!

They offered cooking classes, Tie Dye Classes and Painting all of which I asked to participate in and all of which I was told not today multiple times.
