A cozy 4-star resort tucked away from Kata Beach. It's an authentic Phuket experience, summed up by views from the bathtub capturing local business and highway at the base of a gorgeous rainforest mountain (don't worry, the windows are tinted). Restaurant, staff, pool, vibes are all great.

You will need to hire a motorbike or rely on taxis, as the location is quite far from Kata Beach. Wouldn't recommend this one if you're looking for ease of access.

The room was very spacious and comfortable so we slept very well. They also have a free shuttle to Kata which was helpful considering it’s quite far from the beach. There was also a gym on the premises which we appreciated.

The location wasn’t great, it was too far from everything. Additionally, the breakfast was quite basic.

We enjoyed our 5 days very much in the hotel! The room was gorgeous and well equipped, the bed was very comfortable and the included breakfast was always amazing, we enjoyed the meals there a lot! The hotel staff was fantastic and very helpful all the time. They offered a free scheduled shuttle to the beach that was super helpful. We participated at the local market visit organised by the hotel. This market visit by our guide, Pikul was one of our best local experiences in Phuket! :) I highly recommend this program to everyone as we could learn a lot about the local cuisine, we even experienced some food tasting thanks to our guide, who was very kind. It was truly amazing! :) We really hope to come back to this place one day. :)

Everything was amazing in the hotel! Only it was a bit further from the city center, and in the evening there was no scheduled shuttle back to the hotel, that would have been nice to have. But otherwise we could managed it in 30 min walk.

I recently stayed at the Yama Hotel in Kata Beach and overall, I had a great experience. The room I stayed in was spacious and nicely decorated, making it a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. The gym facilities at the hotel were also decent, providing ample equipment and space for a workout. I loved the convenience of having a little shop right outside the hotel. It was affordable and offered a variety of items. What I appreciated the most was that the shop was also family-owned and operated, so it felt good knowing that my purchases were supporting the local community. One highlight of my stay was the rooftop yoga sessions. Not only was the yoga itself rejuvenating and relaxing, but the views from the rooftop were incredible. Being able to connect with nature while practicing yoga was truly a unique and memorable experience. Lastly, I cannot praise the staff enough. From the moment I arrived, they were incredibly friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. Their warm hospitality added an extra touch of comfort to my time at the Yama Hotel. Overall, I highly recommend the Yama Hotel in Kata Beach. It offers spacious and well-decorated rooms, a decent gym for workouts, a convenient and affordable shop supporting a local family, breathtaking views during rooftop yoga, and a staff that is super friendly.

The breakfast could have been a little better but it was okey, the freshly made omelets was really good

The hotel boasts modern amenities and facilities that cater to the needs of its guests. The pool is well-maintained, and the water is refreshingly clean. The breakfast is immensely satisfying, although some may find the local spices overwhelming. Nonetheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Some reviewers had raised concerns about the location of the Yama Hotel. The hotel is a considerable distance from Kata’s central areas but is in a peaceful and serene location. It was a plus point since we sought a reprieve from the city's noise. Additionally, the hotel provides a complimentary transfer service to Kata Beach.

Adding more varieties of fruits to the breakfast menu would be an excellent idea. Additionally, the room walls had some stains, mostly left by the mosquitoes. Nevertheless, our overall experience was satisfactory.

Wonderful room, incredibly spacious and very comfortable beds. The pool was wonderful. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed for dinner on a few nights and it was always wonderful - the Thai food is on par with or even better than food elsewhere. The gym is small but has all the basics you need and kept very clean. Because the hotel is on a hill you can watch the sunset over Kata beach too!

Difficult to walk to places, but anywhere outside the main strip of Kata would of been the same as there are not many walking pavements - but the hotel provides a shuttle bus into Kata to help with this.

Loved every bit of the stay ! 1. Location: Perfectly situated to reach out everywhere in the south of Phuket. Quiet area, bike re tal is right at the gates of the Yama. Ask for Shu to rent bikes. 2. Stay: Felt happy throughout, not a single ounce of worry regarding the service, the timing or any rectification (in case) needed. (I thought the AC wasn't working but they helped me use it right, my bad here. Just stating to let you know they're up to even change the rooms in case of aby inconveniences) 3. Pool area: The pool, dinning area and breakfast by the pool is splendid. You can have your meals and the leave for wherever you want to head. 4. Pick & Drop: The airport transfers are excellent and on time. I dare say, competitively priced as well. All in all, we didn't have to worry about anything! Checked in - Had our time - Checked out ! Seamless and smooth.

Loved the pool area, great vibe music playing all day at a nice volume. We stayed on floor 2 and our room had a cute little balcony with a mini pool (up to your calves) which was a nice touch! Rainfall shower head and bath with separate toilet. All the nice touches of shampoo/shower gel, robes, flip flops, wardrobe with handging space and safe. The bed was comfy and we got fresh towels every day. Cocktails reasonably priced and bar staff helpful and friendly. Great view from pool. Lovely lobby with lots of comfy seating. Free parking. Lobby staff were very friendly, warm and smiley and most spoke English very well so communication was easy.

The food was quite average, fine enough if you're hungry but more enjoyable to eat out

The room is nice. The bed is comfortable. The receptionists are friendly and helpful.
