I would give 100 stars if I could. Dar Dhiafa is a wonderful place with a truly warm Djerbian/Tunisian hospitality. The hotel is nestled in the middle of Erriadh, a quiet and unique village right in the centre of the island. The architecture and decor is super traditional and unique, very well curated, where every corner is unique and peaceful. This is indeed a place to slow down and to embrace real Tunisian hospitality. All the staff is super kind and he owner Chiara, and Yasmine were extremely professional giving advice of where to go and even recommended me amazing local guides. Everything is clean daily and the facilities are all very well kept. The food in the restaurant is also excellent! Merci, I will definitely stay here next time I visit Djerba!

I liked everything. Over the moon!

architecture and overall atmosphere were stunning. the pool was small but definitely large enough for us as not many people were staying there during the off-season. All the staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the man who was at the reception during the day (Can't remember his name) My favourite moment: we arrived on the early flight from Tunis and sat down in the lobby after a tiring and exhausting journey, and without us even mentioning it, he brought us two cups of coffee whilst we waited to check in. True hospitality.

The bed was too hard for our liking. The breakfast selection was a bit monotonous, and, personally, we wished it would have been a bit more 'Tunisian', eg maybe some Tunisian bread, Shakshuka, or some Bsissa (even though I am aware that that would mean hiring a cook for the breakfast, which is probably just not feasible). I would have appreciated some more Ramadan-relevant knowledge about the opening hours of restaurants and cafes as nobody was able to give us a definitive answer. It should be made more clear how, where, and how much to tip the staff and how these tips would be distributed between employees.

Very nice property at the edge of "Djerbahood" and its very neat murals. Welcome juice at check in. Nice pools. Interesting rooms. Fridge in room. Easy street parking nearby. Decent wifi in reception area.

We booked a room with two beds but they "upgraded" us to a "jr suite" with only one, and when I pointed out the booking, they made a show of saying how we should be happy with the upgrade. Bar and restaurant were expensive. Our room had sink and bath (and handheld hose) on a split level upstairs, and a toilet below. The photos and descriptions of rooms on Booking are unclear - but they could easily be made accurate.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely enchanting! The place had this charming and beautiful interior that set the perfect vibe from the get-go. The staff? Incredibly welcoming and helpful. They hooked us up with a fantastic tour guide for exploring the island, and it made our trip so much more enjoyable. And the restaurant? Oh boy, the food was amazing! We couldn't resist going back even after we'd checked out. Seriously refined cuisine. Rooms were reasonably priced, and the pool? It's big and fresh, beats other guest houses hands down. One thing that might surprise you – no Wi-Fi here. But honestly, it was perfect for us. We needed a break from the digital chaos, and this place gave us just that. Hands down, I'd say this hotel is a solid 10/10 for a Djerba stay. Perfect getaway vibes with a bonus of a tech detox!

Nothing.

I absolutely loved my stay in this gem! We stayed 4 nights and everything was wonderful - the staff were kind and friendly, food excellent, the architecture and pool areas wonderfully relaxing, and an ideal location in Djerbahood to wander the small village spotting all the murals. If you are looking for something different to a resort stay then this is for you!

Absolutely loved the 4 nights we stayed with Chiara and her team at Dar Dhiafa. A beautiful historical property with two pools, a bar and a restaurant. The art-filled Djerbahood project surrounds Dar Dhiafa, all around Erriadh, and it is lovely to step out and see street art everywhere. The hotel itself is an oasis of calm and peace with several quiet, pretty hangout areas scattered around in addition to poolside, the reception lounge and the courtyards around the rooms. The room was lovely, with a large bathroom and shower, new towels everyday and a little seating area setup as in a traditional Tunisian home. Breakfast was included and consisted of a simple and excellent array of bread, eggs, coffee, pastries etc. The manager, Chiara, is super attentive and hands-on - always around to help with anything we needed.

These are nits, and suggestions for future improvement vs. real problems: - Wifi is only available in the reception, not the rooms themselves - The restaurant does not have a lot of vegetarian options

Clean rooms and pools. Beautiful architecture and design. Restaurant was traditional but high-end (similar to Dar el Jeld in Tunis). Food/price was 3.75/5. Open for lunch and dinner. Certain dishes require advanced notice. Good cocktail bar. Unfortunately our group spoke limited/beginner French and Arabic, though staff is patient with language barriers and speaks moderate-level English. Centrally located - staff was helpful in arranging a taxi to travel with us for the day to explore the island. Wifi only in lobby. Cellular data connection is good throughout the property. Itemized and transparent pricing.

The AC in our suite was more like a fan. We travelled in September and the AC was sufficient to keep the room temperatures from being uncomfortable. It is the desert, two pools, AC in the hotel is cool and the architecture of the property is conducive to cooling/airflow (high ceilings, small windows, whitewashed/stucco interiors and exteriors, spacious rooms and courtyards). Bathroom 7.5/10 - tub fixtures are a bit dated comparative to the rest of the property. Large, ornate wood and metal front doors keep out local cats

Beautiful Dar in the centre of Djerba, cool pool with good drinks and cocktails

The restaurant is totally average. For the price you pay, the quality is a scam. The reception desk could provide more specific and detailed information, rather than “there are nice beaches everywhere”, when they are not accessible in some of the cases and in other cases the beaches are crowded and more for mass tourism.

The place is incredibly beautiful, full of details at every corner. You have two peaceful swimming pools to chill and enjoy the sun. The breakfast is self service with so many options, included fresh orange juice :) Staying in this special hotel is just an experience in its own :)

The air conditioner was dropping water so the carpet got wet and the room started to smell

The owner of the hotel was very kind and helpful, and welcomed warmly to Djerba. We were travelling the whole day through the mountains in between Tozeur and Matmata so we were exhausted. She made us feel home immediately, and addresses us to the best restaurants in the area as well as told us the story of the Dar inside Djerbahood. The area is so cool, full of graffiti and art. The Dar is super curated in every detail. Highly recommend!
