Good variety of food, friendly staff and abundance of activities. Amazing place for kids. Rooms were very spacious. Staff were kind of enough to provide milk for children at night. The hotel is a short drive from the city market area and sea front.

We had to ask more than twice for a cot. The one we received was partly damaged on one of the legs. Shower door is not very fit for purpose as it only blocks half of the unit. Very often a shower will leave the floor by the sink wet. The place is very big and is made up of numerous hotels. Its very easy to get lost and end up in a different hotel lobby. A map of the grounds would be helpful. Some of the poolside staff would reserve chairs around the pool for other visitors who would come later on in the morning. Not a very fair system.

The breakfast was brilliant. The location is fairly distant from town so there are really no decent shops around but taxis are very reasonable in price.

Some rooms were noisy because there was a discotheque on the ground floor in the centre area.This did not affect my room as it was located at the side but friends who had rooms above could hear the noise& didn't like it.

The territory of the hotel is absolutely huge and includes 3 main buildings - it means that each building has its own reception. They offer a lot of things to do as - big tennis( has to be booked every time)- 2 courts, table tennis(rackets are in a super bad condition though, but still possible to play), archery- this it seems to be specific time just with animation group, kids room with animation group also, volleyball on the beach - specific time , kinda yoga or dancing -animation group … evening programs. Also they offer a spa and massage ( has to be booked in advance - massage specifically I didn’t like - because it wasn’t real massage , just distributing oil over the body for 50 min ;) ) , also they provide the trips with guides / private trips … Summarising- it’s like a small city - they have everything inside and entertainment was totally amazing . Food - was good 👌the only problem was the water - it smelled ( the one which is from the cooler ), always drink just water from bottles

We especially loved the welcome from the staff. We had previously had a bad experience at different hotel and the staff (Mme Rym at reception) were really sympathetic and made our stay extra special! We loved the tennis courts and the grounds and the food! Ramsey the chef de salle was amazing… as was Mlle Rym and M Slim at the reception (sorry for errors with the names)… We did not have such a friendly and helpful service at our following hotel and I have to say that it makes all the difference ! We hope to come back with our children next time.

The room size was perfect and the beds were excellent. The food was good. We are vegetarians but the options were more than sufficient for us. The staff including the restaurant managers were very helpful and took care to show the vegetarian food that were available every time we went to restaurant. Staff in general are very helpful and cheerful. The beach is very good and clean. There are ample sun beds both near the numerous pools and also the beach. Taxis are easily available right outside the gates, but those might charge higher/flat rate and hence suggest you cross the main road to take passing taxis which put the meter, to go to the medina, louvage station. Taxis are very reasonably priced. El Jem is a great day trip from here. You could go to Monastir in the afternoon. Bus, louvage or taxis could be used. We went to Kairouan as well.

Always a pleasure to visit the Marhaba Royal Salem. A very warm welcome by Slim on Reception, our room was great with a beautiful sea view. Food was lovely, always plenty on offer. Client liason, Houssem is fantastic and a real asset to the hotel team, and Animation are second to none. All the staff work SO hard.

I would say that the WiFi isn't great but I'd rather not have it at all... I'm on holiday!

The room was very spacious and comfortable, it was clean. Installations overall were nice, pool, food, private beach. Staff very friendly :))

Wifi didn’t work at all. Beer was warm —> avoid the bar at the beach. Watch out for the vegetarian corner: some of the food had meat. It’s a 15 minute drive to Sousse medina. Bare this is mind in case you are looking for proximity to the city center.

Staying at Marhaba Royal Salem has been a pure joy. It is a hotel with a great atmosphere due to the nice residents and the efficiency of the hotel staff. One pre-given aspect adding to our satisfaction has been the location of the hotel--a lush garden, which comes across as a verdant rain forest, hides several pool areas for swimmer, toddlers, and families. Even though the hotel was nearly full, one hardly ever experiences crowds during their stay. Rooms spacious. Definitely not the newest interiors, but the mattresses are comfy, strong running water is available, and house keeping does a great job. Food is very safe to eat (in lower category hotels, this is not the case). However, despite all attempts to enchant the guest, all the dishes remain well-cooked but extremely bland. Most of them taste the same way. What is even more sinful is the use of terrible quality Tunisian cheeses (mozzarella and other "plastic" products). My suggestion to the management is to serve less food (fewer dishes, that is) and use better quality materials. Despite my critical comment, I would like to thank Mr. Nawfel Khemimi, maitre d'hotel, who runs the restaurant in a friendly and professional way. Your establishment is warmly recommended to anyone in search for sunshine and relaxation at a beautiful place. Mabrouk! Rudolf

The lift was broken for a few days. WiFi signal was poor in some locations within the hotel. Salty water in the pool. smokers should not be able to smoke near the pool
