Location-wise: 🤩 Few minutes from the central station. You can take the bus, tram, train or ferry from there. Walkable from the main tourist spots. I’m a slow walker so it took me 20mins to get there. Panoramic views: 🥰 Rooftop is superb! Sunrise, sunset or anytime of the day, the view is really amazing. It’s priceless!! You can use the guitar, sing a song and enjoy the beautiful view. Customer service: Lokman (I call himLuke) really is a nice guy. You can send them a message on whatsapp anytime of the day. Even asked him how to buy Istanbul card and how to ride the tram. He will provide everything you need as much as he can. There is another guy with him who is always night shift but failed to get his name. He’s a nice guy too. Our flight is early but he let us in just to leave the luggage and roam around the town until our room is ready. They also let us stay after check out. We really enjoyed our stay. Hope more tourist will find your place. 😊

The sheets and pillow case seems to be not changed. I just cover it with the pillow since they always change the towels everyday. Toilet paper runs out. I asked for it but they did not provide again. I was too shy to ask for it again so we just bought for toilet paper outside.

The Staff, especially Mr. Lokman and Mr. Ferit are excellent. Me and my friend are 2 ladies touring Istanbul together, and they have been Very polite and very friendly. They are also very resourceful as they helped us book our Airport taxis for pickup and drop, at fixed charges.

The location of the hotel can be a bit dark and appear intimidating at nighttime, when not many people are around. However, the main road and the Trams are only 3 mins away so the location doesn't turn out to be a major issue in any way :)

This place offered preety everything shown in the available pictures. Nice, small but clean and functional rooms that are ideally perfect for 2 people wanting to explore the city for some days. Me and my friends booked the 3 person room which had a double bed and a little opening couch, which was a bit uncomfortable to be honest, but did the job just find eventually. The stuff we met was actually fluent in english and very very helpful to us, giving us all sorts of advice for properly expiriencing the city and responding to anything we needed for our stay within minutes, which is deeply appreciated. Plus, they were really cool and fun guys. As for the location, I would definitely say that its NOT a risky nor dangerous place to live, although is might seem so, due the neighbourhood being a bit on the poor and local type side of things. However, the people around are preety much ok, plus you can find every kind of store near the hotel (for food and cigarretes etc) for almost any hours of the day. (also the prices are ridiculously cheaper than those of the touristic places). The hotel is also in the center of everything in Istanbul. You can walk to the hagia sophia and the grand bazzaar easily and the Metro line 2 is just 5 minutes away. All in all if I ever found myself in Istanbul again I would definitely choose this place for a quick stay. P.S. The rooftop was our chilling spot during our vacation and the view totally worth it.

Wonderful view from terrace, cosy and comfortable rooms, charming and kind staff is ready to help 24/7 (Hi and thank you, Mr.Lokman!). Tasty breakfast! Towels were changed regularly and cleaning was carried out. Really recommend this hotel, you won't ever regret it.

Be ready for the fact that photos can differ from reality. Bed linen was not changed even once in 5 days.

What can we say about Lokman and his team? They went out their way to make our stay in Istanbul a memorable and comfortable trip. After a long day of exploring the city their place took the stress out it, to be able to relax in an environment that nearly felt like staying at a person's home. The breakfast each morning on the terrace was the highlight but also conversations with Lokman and the others. Lokman went out of his way to make us feel welcome, fulfilling some requests we had of him from booking a taxi to the airport on our return, giving advice on places to visit, even about local food and history. The highlight for myself was him helping me get a traditional shave at a local barber's, you don't see that kind of attention to guests anywhere. We really didn't want to leave Astra and Istanbul after our experience, it makes us want to return. Till we meet again Lokman!

Nothing. There were some minor issues with the room, but Lokman and his team made sure they were always solved quickly. We feel that any negative reviews about this place are unjustified, having even witnessed behaviour from another guest that made us realise some people behave as if they have bought the place.

Спадабалася вельмі зручнае месцазнаходжанне гасцініцы, за кароткі час можна было дайсці амаль да ўсіх запланаваных месц майго спадарожжа. Супер ветлівы кіраўнік гатэлем таксама дадае балы ў бок выбара менавіта гэтага месца, дапаможа і дасць парады, як найлепш скарыстацца стамбульскімі інфраструктурамі, каб лягчэй было арыентавацца і паспець пабачыць Стамбул. Гатэль мае асабістую атмасферу і вельмі ўдала ўплятаецца ў раён з вузкімі старымі вулачкамі, з гучнымі спевамі азанаў і захапляючымі відамі знакамітага заліва.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for several days in November. The room is very beautiful and has an interesting design. The hotel is close to the subway and tram. The owner was really nice. He showed us everything when we checked-in. He also allowed us change our booking dates due to our flight cancellation. Breakfast was on the open terrace with great view. It was served beautifully but not filling enough. There were an egg, some cheese, some fruits and vegetables, and a lot of bakery.

There wasn't heating at that time and we turned on the air conditioning. We slept under a warm blanket but it was getting colder by the morning because of wooden windows. Honestly, we weren't pleased some conversation topics from the member of staff who served us breakfast.

Everything has been beautiful: the hotel, the location but above all the staff! Everyone has been so gentle and available with me in a me way that went far beyond my expectations. It has been like going home and having a family taking care of you. At the check-in I got a nice guy (please pardon me, I don’t remember your name/ I don’t know how to write it correctly!) who took me all around because I was looking for a guide and, even if he wasn’t, he was so nice to take me around the city center and with the umbrella because of the heavy rain! I had just a few hours to spend in Instanbul due to my flight but it has been a wonderful experience. I also ordered food at the hotel for dinner and in the morning the staff made for me a breakfast to take away so I could have food before my flight. I totally recommend this amazing hotel and the rate was great! It was super clean with all the comforts possible. I’d suggest it for sure and can’t wait to go back!!

Very clean, nicely furnished small hotel, in a calm and romantic small street, in a few steps from the crowded wharf. Very close to the Halic metro station. Good turkish breakfast on the roof terrace overlooking the Golden Horn Bay. The guys managing the hotel, serving breakfast are very nice and helpful.

This is actually nothing negative, but these traditional, half stone-half wooden houses in Istanbul old town have smaller rooms and narrow stairways compared to today's standards. Because of this many of the houses of the steep and narrow streets of the old town are either abandoned, or renewed for such kind of B&Bs. If you like this type of charm and faded gloire, you will love it like we do. If you prefer not making compromises to feel this kind of authenticity and charm, better go to a bigger, more standard hotel.

The staff were super friendly and helpful in every moment, whether it was organizing a shuttle super early in the morning or advice on anything City related. As a family we loved the view over the city during breakfast from the top patio. As an economic option you get a great place for a good price. The area is s bit rougher but it is nice to dive into the town immediately and many of the main sites are easily reached on foot
