Location + room space + quiet room

There are no ( toothbrush’s , cotton swabs, ear cleaning pads , shower cap and bathrobe. They provide only two bottles of water per day and only two coffee sachets, as well as tea and sugar. One of the staff members entered the room despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door and kept knocking after. The room key malfunctions daily, and I need to go to the reception to have it activated.

The location is excellent. The front office staff is very efficient, polite and helpful. The breakfast is elaborate. The rooms are clean. Overall, it is a nice place to stay and I would certainly recommend others to stay here.

If I have to mention something, it would be this: They declare that the breakfast will be served till 10 am. But the staff seems to be only interested in winding up rather than serving the guests. It is irritating the way they start picking up the unused cutlery, cups/saucers etc from your table even when it is 9:15 am. They start cleaning/winding up where you are sitting that makes you feel unwanted/unwelcome. The feeling is difficult to be expressed in words. One has to experience it to understand what I am writing.

The breakfast buffet was great and the hotel lication was also very good. However, it was too touristy and congested for me.

My room (320) was facing another hotel hotel which seems to have a night-club operating all night. This caused me not to be able to sleep as the windows and walls were not sound-proof. The front-office and reception staff were efficient but not very friendly. They came across as curt and unhelpful except for one person who helped me with the taxi when I left. The whole atmosphere of the hotel was rather sterile and a little pompous.

I liked the friendly staff especially the housekeeper Noktam.

The room temperature

Great location, clean and comfortable. Near Galaport and other shops. Great spa snd services offered.

- The first day the room floor corridor was full of humidity it was hard to breath and bad smell. After a couple of days it normalized. - Bathroom could provide more privacy. It had a strange traslucent glass that turns transparent with a button. Also the wc glass door was noisy. Main toilet door could be replaced with lockable door. - Cruise Ships block the view in the terrace to the Bosphorus and city when docked. - The terrace Restaurant food is excellent however its host was rude.

What was exceptional about Novotel hotel was they went well above & beyond their means to make our stay enjoyable & pleasant as possible. We felt special from beginning to end. My mother is paralysed and is in a wheelchair they provided us with a lovely spacious room and bathroom specially designed just perfect for her needs . The rooms were very clean & have to thank Sazide especially to looking after us she was amazing. The breakfast was wonderful good choice of local & international dishes Also the breakfast & dinner room has a fantastic view of Bosphorus.

The only thing is they could do with small tables in between beds to put your phones / medicines etc But I couldn’t fault them because I did ask for small table which they provided so they were very good

Staff were extremely helpful and personable. The location is fantastic -- close to the Old Town but far away enough from the crowds and traffic. The Murver restaurant on the roof was excellent and the staff was fantastic (especially the bartenders). The room was comfortable and the bathroom was fine (water pressure was great, but the water temperature tended to fluctuate -- i.e., get unexpectedly hotter). Overall, a very pleasant stay!

As mentioned above, the water temperature in the shower was a bit wonky. This is not the hotel's fault, but there's major construction on the street that blocks a good bit of the sidewalk.

The room was absolutely great, everything you needed (but surely no on a luxury side), clean and neat, daily housekeeping, free water, hairdryer, iron. The only downside my room didn’t have a view and balcony, but the price was cheaper. The location to the hotel is just amazing, you step out and enjoy Bosphorus views, and numerous cafes. The staff was exceptionally great, trust me I live in Dubai, so it’s hard to impress me but they did. Big big thank you. Highly recommend.

the hotel corridors require renovation, I was initially a bit depressed seeing those a bit torn and worn corridor walls with an old carpet. It gives the wrong impression about such a good hotel.

Hotel's location, the staff, room facilities. Hot water is always hot and let you mix a water temperature you like, not like in many other hotels. Beds are soft & comfortable and freshly done by the staff that makes you refreshed after a long day. The second bed is wide enough to host even two kids, for one it's more than enough. One day I left my laptop not locked to the room's safe. Came back, the laptop was where I had left it - the staff was well trained and respected the hotels' visitors belongings. Safeness and security of the hotel should be rewarded.

HVAC equipment on the roof of the hotel sounds as loud as a huge production area. Permanent odor of BBQ in the hotel's corridors. What's a reason to have a noisy piece of ventilation equipment (HVAC) on the roof of the hotel which doesn't let a chance to sleep with an open window in any hotel's rooms oriented to the hotel's backyard, if this equipment is incapable to sack all odor from the hotel's corridors. Some BBQ restaurants have more fresh air than the hotel's corridors.
