I love how the staff from Richmond Istanbul were so kind and lovely. They were so helpful and assisted us with many things. They also gave us a birthday cake. Thank you specially to these staff namely- Engin, Serkan, and Arda! 🎉🎉

Location was excellent!! Right on Istiklal St and close to shopping, food options and the historical Galata Tower as well as the Metro station. The atmosphere around the hotel was very vibrant and exciting. The room was good and the hotel upgraded us to an Executive room. The breakfast options were very good.

The bathroom door did not have a lock! That was a bit uncomfortable. The hotel did not offer free drinking water on a daily basis, except on the first day. There is no direct access for cars at the hotel entrance (city regulations), which makes the carrying of luggage (especially if you have many bags!) a bit cumbersome but the hotel staff was very helpful and more than made up for this issue.

Location is great ! Breakfast is very good with great variety. Quiet rooms - no noise from the street. Staff very helpful. Will stay there again. Will recommend to any traveler going to Istanbul.

That taxi/transfer can't stop at the hotel entrance. BUT the location make up for this. Tourist desk can improve (also to assist how transport work in Istanbul).

The staff were super friendly, helpful and accommodating. They helped through our travel, from tourism suggestions to taxis and even helping us with our luggage. It was clean, had a decent breakfast and the amenities were satisfying. Even though you are in the busiest street of town, you cannot hear a thing of the noises which was really amazing. This was my second time trying this hotel. I recommend it and will go there again.

Everything was fun, but the breakfast lounge used to be on the roof where you had a really good view of the sea now it is on -1. I wish that could come back!

The overall feel of this hotel is really good. Add to this the amazing hotel location which makes it a worthwhile place to stay at for a few nights. Would definitely want to stay here again.

The breakfast could be better in taste and variety. One thing that I found strange was that water was only available to the guests on the first day, that too only a single bottle. After that something as basic as water was needed to be purchased. The other hotels around Turkey that I have stayed at offer complimentary water bottles every day.

The location of the property was excellent, making it very convenient for our stay. The rooms are cleans and every day the women knocking at the door early to clean the room. Regarding the staff, Yunus at the reception stood out for his dedication and helpfulness. He was the only one who responded promptly and kindly to our requests. On a positive note, the breakfast and overall food quality were exceptional, making for a great start to the day. Despite the mixed experience with the staff, the combination of the perfect location and excellent food made our stay enjoyable overall.

The other staff is unfriendly/ the other male receptionists were unhelpful, displaying a very cold and indifferent attitude, which was disappointing. Additionally, if you don’t want to be disturbed by the housekeeping staff, make sure to place the "Do Not Disturb" sign on your door. Otherwise, you may experience knocking as early as 8:00 AM, which can be disruptive. However, if you request an extra bed, be aware that it is very uncomfortable, especially for an adult, as it comes with a thin mattress that is not suitable for a restful sleep.

Location is absolutely unbeatable. Plenty of activity right on the hotel doorstep but great access (walking and transport) to get to both historical sites, food and beverage, shopping or other major transport hubs. Rooms were clean and, despite our room being on level 2 and facing the mall, the double-glazed windows completely insulated the noise (note, they can be opened to get fresh air into the room as well).

Breakfast offering was very poor . Typical of a 2-star motel in a remote or regional area. Needs massive improvement. Such a shame given the culinary strength of Turkey. Do yourself a favour, skip the breakfast and head to a local cafe for a genuine local breakfast. Pillows were uncomfortable. Bar and lobby area had zero atmosphere or ambience (but frankly, this is not important as there are some many great options in the immediate vicinity of the hotel)

Richmond Istanbul has a Great Location. The staff is Very Friendly, always welcoming and smiling. Many thanks to the Front Desk Supervisor who did the check in, for upgrading the rooms and special thanks to the Guest Relations/Services for checking on how was the stay going. A special thanks to the bell staff as well, very helpful and always ready to assist. Upon check in, Amenities and Welcome Card were sent to the room which is a very nice touch. Breakfast was nice and a new selection of 1 or 2 items was added on a daily basis. Thank you Richmond Istanbul!

Very nice Hotel, just few things to improve: Rooms on the executive floor require some improvement on the inner walls isolation. Room Doors require some adjustments on their closing mechanism since they slam shut and make a relatively huge noise on the floor. Wifi signal could be enhanced. Few breakfast items require improvement ( Donuts and some pastry items specifically ), other breakfast items were generally nice.

We had an incredible stay in the Hotel! The staff was amazing and special thanks to Mert and Kerem for helping us, always friendly and willing to assist with any needs or questions. The location is unbeatable, earning a perfect 10/10; it's conveniently situated at istiklla street near all the main attractions and public transportation. The breakfast was also a highlight, offering a variety of delicious options to start the day. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay

Nothing, except if the dishes for the breakfast can be changed and have more variety.

Many Thanks to everyone in Hotel Richmond for very efficient & polite service & great hospitality. For some reason, we had to make 2 separate bookings for a 5-night stay. As a result, we had to move rooms after 4 nights. Mr Necati did his very best & we were upgraded to ensure we continued to have the Phosphorus Straits view we had for the first 4 nights. The bellhops, front desk, restaurant staff & chefs were most attentive & accommodating. At the first breakfast, my wife loved the chicken noodle soup so much & requested the Chef to prepare the same on our last day as the soup is changed every day at the restaurant. He obliged.
