Great Location. Very close to Metro so you can go anywhere in Istanbul and tourist locations in Fatih in less than 15 minutes, can walk to Taksim Sq, Istiklal Street, Madamme Tussauds, Shopping, and awesome eateries and Beyoglu. The hotel is newly built and is clean and with very helpful staff. Honestly, they were helping without any benefit for themselves which is not something that you experience in Istanbul where everyone is helping you to sell you something. These were the most polite guys, Sulaiman, Rasheed, and one more Turkish Guy. I was left with no cash at the end of my trip and I wished I could have given them more Tip. The room had everything we needed and had good lighting which my wife loved. Right across from the hotel, there are stairs that take you to a street that has a lot of food options and with nominal prices and great food. These are the prices that locals pay which will not be something you will find in other tourist places. We came to this hotel at the very end of our trip and came to know that we were paying almost double the price for food.

The hotel was very nice! The room is small, but because the hotel is quite new, all the furniture and appliances are in perfect condition! All floors are serviced by an elevator. (it is important , because many hotels in Istanbul do not have elevators) The guys at the reception are very helpful and informative about everything you may need. In general, the room was clean, except for the refrigerator and the toilet bowl.

The hotel is very close to taksim square, about 300 m, but for some it may be a problem that it is a continuous uphill to the square, especially if you carry luggage. Also the area around is not clean,as is Istanbul not a clean city in general.

Clean, polite, new hotel

Fantastic location just 5 minutes from great restaurants and shops. The metro takes you to the main tourist areas and the funicular gets you to the ferry. All the staff were welcoming and kept the property very clean. Air conditioning is excellent and will be needed. I recommend filling the fridge with drinks on the first day of your stay and maybe a dessert or two from Hafiz mustafa.

Approach the hotel via Turan Cd, which is the road parallel. This is a nicer route to take and also has plenty of shops to get bottled water and snacks. Be prepared to walk up a hill, but nothing too taxing. Call to prayer can be loud, but the best locations will be near mosques, and it creates a good sense of place.

The location is near perfect. Shops and take aways are within a minute of walking distance. Taksim Square, Metro Station and istiklal street is also 5-10 minutes away. The hotel was very clean and had everything you need during a stay, including water boiler and hair dryer. You can also get an iron at the reception. What we liked the most is the very friendly and helpful staff. Each one of them is super kind and went out of their way to help us. They even managed to bring back one of our bags, which we had forgotten on the bus from our airport transfer. Speaking of which: Airport transfer can be easily arranged through the reception for a good price. All in all great experience. Thank you very much, Taksim Story Residence!

Very steep roads! May be difficult for wheelchairs or generally for those who are not too well on foot. Taxis can hold in front of the hotel though.

We spent in a hotel over 2 weeks. The hotel has an elevator which is a big plus since I have problems with my knees. We liked the hotel a lot and decided to spend 2 extra days here. Everyone in a hotel is very friendly, staff speaks enough English. Cuneyt was very helpful in everything and his English is perfect. Soraya and Cuneyt were always there for us to answer questions and help. We appreciate the cleanliness, good wifi service, comfy beds, help with luggage. Special thanks for the little present from the hotel ❤️

Personnel was very friendly and was always trying to help whenever I had any queries. Clean sheets were definitely a plus. Hairdryer in the bathroom worked well. Very close to Taksim and Istiklal. Havaist bus stop is in the walking distance from the place.

The location of the hairdryer could be better - I ran into it couple times. The room is quite small and bathroom in some dimensions may not be comfortable for people with size plus. The worst thing of all was dust on all surfaces except the bed. Apparently it was there for a long time as it was uniform layer of dust. I believe that personnel would have cleaned it upon request but I was always too tired or forgetting about that so that I never asked to work that out. A woman in the nearby cafe said the location was horrible and people should be cautious. Indeed, the area seemed to be run down. The roads are steep and slippery when raining

I enjoyed my short stay between the flights at Taksim Story Residence and I would love to stay another 2-3 nights next time when I come to Istanbul. It’s a great value for money. I had a room on first floor it was clean and good new facilities. The hotel is within 10 min walk to the Havaist bus stop (airport shuttle) and the Taksim square. Also want to mention other that impressed me: the heating, excellent hot water pressure in shower and nice friendly staff.

Everything was fine for me, but I can imagine that the room might seem a little small for 2 persons when traveling with large suit cases. Also saw comments about the street - that it is dangerous. I personally felt secure though I came after sunset and left before sunrise, of course this area of Taksim is less lively than the side streets of Istiklal but a lot quieter at night!

This new well-located hotel is a 5-minute walk from Taksim Square. Shops and public transport (metro, tram, bus to the airport, HAVABUS bus) - Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds, cleanliness and friendly service. I advise.

The hotel is very modern with a modern elevator, comfortable sofas and bright enough at night to make it easy to spot. (There is also a sign on the front road to guide you to the hotel). The rooms are very clean with a view, a comfortable bed and the TVs are smart and coffee and tea bags are offered in each room during the stay. The bathroom is spacious and spotlessly clean. Also, the radiator works continuously during the winter months and there is air conditioning also inside for the summer. The staff is VERY friendly and helpful and offers you all the services for free. Free coffee and tea are offered daily as well as directions in the city, they speak very good English and communication is very easy. The point where it is located is close to a mini market, bakeries, pharmacy and places to eat and is only 200 meters from the square and the metro station and taxis. The stay was very comfortable and the advice from the hotel helped us a lot during our travels and our visits to different parts of the city. When we go to Istanbul again, we will book the same hotel.
