I have stayed here many times - mostly because of the staff and the location of the hotel which are both excellent. Zahid from house keeping kept my room pristine and fully stocked with water every day - much needed in the soaring heat of August!!!

every time i stay i mention the fact that staff allow guests to reserve sunbeds around the pool and surrounding areas when there is a notice clearly saying this is not allowed? Many people place towels on sunbeds as early as 7.00am and dont actually use them until lunchtime??? why cant the staff remove these towels?? why is this still happenng?

Really comfortable room with nice lighting, great location, nice pool, quiet gym with a nice view, very clean.

Facilities could do with a refresh. The lighting in the restaurant (Trader Vics) was very dark and gloomy. The staff seemed to want to sell the most expensive options instead of offering helpful assistance and most of them didn't seem to know the area well to be able to offer good advice.

Great location on the beach side of the beach road. Excellent swimming pool, garden and private beach area all with complimentary deck chairs for hotel guest use. Parking, gym and good restaurants on site as well as near the hotel. Fantastic buffet breakfast. Big enough room with comfortable beds. Nice balcony too for the right weather. Swimming pool water wonderfully refreshing. Friendly staff.

Bathroom gets very wet when showering. The current renovations to a walk in shower will be a big improvement.

Location was great. Right on Jumeirah beach. Great pool, restaurants and views from the rooftop bar were amazing. The breakfast was great too.

It’s a very busy area and sometimes quite noisy. Our ocean view room was more a glimpse of ocean.

From reception to dining areas ,bedrooms and grounds staff were very helpful and friendly.A special thank you to Jean who looked after our bedroom daily.Jeans creativity exceeded all my expectations as I was celebrating a special birthday.Many thanks for all the wonderful birthday treats received from dining room and reception personnel. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish and we will be returning to the hotel in the near future.

Nothing we didn't like..

Staff were friendly and more than happy to help. I think there was a waitress called Sinta - she was so kind and cheerful She brought hot chocolate for the boys during breakfast. Sea view was beautiful. The room were cleaned well, towels changed everyday.

Construction site next to hotel - we were not informed of this when we booked Charges for the room upgrades - took a long time to sort out on check-out. It still was not fully sorted out when we left - Not a good end to the holiday, especially since we brought friends from the UK fpr the Hilton stay over.

it’s a great location - very close to the marina. beautiful private beach as well. overall staff were pleasant and friendly. the cleaning staff did an amazing job on the rooms and were very friendly. loved the pool area with the swim up bar. nice breakfast with loads of choice.

I asked the concierge for recommendations of restaurants in the mall area and they really couldn’t help me at all. I was disappointed with this as I feel it’s an important facility of a five star hotel to be able to recommend a restaurant. also the towel situation was RIDICULOUS! you had to queue at reception for a towel token and then queue to get a towel. the sun beds filled up ridiculously early also which wad frustrating especially when most had no one on them just towels or a bag. this needs to be looked at.

I always stay here when i am in Dubai. The hotel may be one of the oldest in this area but its clean, comfortable and welcoming, unlike some of the more pretentious newer hotels i have stayed in. The location is fantastic and the hotel has everything you need on site, great places to eat and drink and the staff have always been extremely helpful and friendly with me.

I comment on this every time... The only thing i do not like is the fact that guests are allowed to reserve sunbeds by leaving their towels on them. The beds by the pool sometimes have towels on them from 7.00am and are not actually used by the guests until 11 am/12am...... Nobody minds people reserving a bed for 30 mins whilst they have breakfast but for over FOUR hours? The pool staff should be more vigilant and after 30 mins towels should be removed.

If you manage to get a room not facing the construction site next to the hotel, you will have a wonderful time. We did, after we managed to change the room. Otherwise is hell. They work 24/7. The hotel has a very good location, near JBR walk and Marina walk The beach is very nice. The room is also very nice with very comfortable beds, a balcony and fantastic views. You can easily get a RTA taxi ( the public, cheap taxis) from the roundabout next to the hotel. I think this hotel is one of the best option in Dubai.

The hotel should make an effort to avoid hosting people in the rooms facing the construction site. Food can be better.
