Staff was very friendly (esp. at breakfast + house keeping!). Room was comfy and spotlessly clean - slept like a log. Loved the yoga mat and online yoga lessons as a little bonus.

Being very nitpicky: I love that there are two vegan options for breakfast. Not a fan of staff asking me repeatedly if I want to switch the tofu scramble for eggs or turning up with very non-vegan options which were meant for other guests (place was not busy) though. Would have loved to have a vegan pastry option or maybe vegan yoghurt with my fruit. Also noticed that there was cow's milk in the mini fridge in the room but no vegan alternative. Maybe something to consider in the future. Again - being incredibly nitpicky here. Loved my stay!

- The room was beautifully decorated - The hotel, inside and out, was very aesthetic - Nice ‘extras’, such as free bottled water and fresh milk - Staff were friendly and helpful (especially the young man on the door at around 3pm on the 4th) - Comfortable furniture - Plenty of towels left for me despite it being a booking for a single person (often an issue) - Great location

I think I would definitely return for a leisure visit if there was a spa. I also wish that a small (and cheaper) breakfast could be ordered to the room. For example, a pastry and a drink would be sufficient (especially for people with places to be in the morning)

Was very expensive for what was on offer .lovely staff and big room but nowhere near as nice as other hotels in the same price bracket . There was a party on in the bar which seemed to have priority over everyone else .something else seemed to be happening the day we stayed which made us feel surplus to requirements. Breakfast was an additional cost and very slow the lady next to us had to leave before hers arrived. Luckily we were not in too much of a hurry

The large party seemed to have the run of the hotel other guests also complained about how we all had to sit in only one section of the bar . Expensive for what was on offer

The location was great, really central and less than 10 mins walk from the station. Check in was great, very smooth and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Check out was v straight forward and again friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the in-room coffee machine nice. Good to have fresh milk on the fridge too. And the crunchies were a nice touch.

Bed was a standard double so smaller than we’re used to. The breakfast was nice but not that exciting. I’d prefer more variety personally. And the portions weren’t big. But the coffee was good. And the staff were good again. Bottles of water rather small considering how much water you should drink in a day (I drink a lot more).

The hotel is beautiful and has a great position in Birmingham centre. The bar is a local destination night spot. Our room overlooking the cathedral was quiet, spacious and well furnished. The reception staff reached out to find out what our requirements were and gave us a great room. All of the staff at this hotel are friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was the weakest part - 5/10 at best. The main vegetarian option (was vegan) was mostly horrible. The worst vegetarian breakfast I've seen in a hundred hotels. The avocado and eggs on gluten free toast was fine. The buffet selection was ok for what it was but very limited for a quality hotel - no cheese options, limited pastries etc

The Grand is a beautiful hotel in a great location and the staff were brilliant. We really enjoyed our stay. Beds were really comfy, the shower was wonderful, we had everything we needed.

Our room was really lovely and we'd stay there again in a heartbeat. One small piece of feedback was that the piece of furniture under the telly was a bit chipped, someone has clearly stuck something on it and when removing it the paintwork has peeled/chipped. This had no negative effect whatsoever on our comfort/ enjoyment of the room, but in a hotel of this calibre those small details are really important and this was unsightly. Everything else was superb.

The grand is a beautiful hotel and really well located - it’s right around everything you want to see in Birmingham. The rooms are well appointed and we’re very clean. I would stay again.

I personally found the bed quite stiff. I didn’t see anyone available to help with luggage. There was a billing issue with breakfast accidentally only ordered for one of the two of us - which was brought to my attention at the table and was trying to find my confirmation and paperwork and the woman stood there for 4-5 minutes trying to collect payment. I finally asked her to give me a few minutes and I’ll come back to her. Was a bit aggressive when we were staying there and we already ordered breakfast. I was in the wrong but I needed to check my paperwork. Just wish the staff member handled it differently. Felt like I was a criminal over a waffle.

excellent customer service - I had badly injured my ankle and upon check-in our room was ready early which was great and the receptionist offered to send crushed ice to my room for the swelling. The porter also carried our bags to our room. The room was beautiful and lovely touches such as chocolate, water bottles and fresh milk in the fridge. I was impressed with the Molten Brown toiletries too and vanity pack. We stayed two nights and each morning had the BEST BREAKFAST. We had dinner at Isaacs on one of the evenings, oysters were spectacular and the main beef short rib was utterly melt in the mouth divine. On check out we were given mor water bottles for our journey and the lady at the desk also was kind enough to ask about my ankle injury. Cannot wait to return

The hotel room we had was really spacious and lovely. Comfortable bed and great location within the city centre. We had a slight mix up with two guests under the same name and we were both given a key to the same room. This was handled really professionally by the staff and was an honest a mistake. The receptionist offered us a complimentary drink in the bar and some champagne to the room which was a lovely gesture of apology. All the other staff we interacted with were great, really lovely and warm and definitely an asset to the hotel.

I personally wouldn't have anything to say but my partner would say it's frustrating to not be able to order a pint and only be able to get 2/3 of one for the price of a full pint...

Beautifully decorated Hotel, modern but chic. Bedroom was spacious and the beds were comfortable. We asked for a quiet room and even though our room was overlooking Colmore Row it was silent all night. We were upgraded too which was an added bonus. Complimentary chocolate, water, tea and coffee was given and because I mentioned it was a special occasion, my friend received a cupcake and personalised note too - really made us feel welcome and a nice touch. Discounted parking not too far away too.

My Breakfast was cold when it arrived so slightly disappointed. I still ate it as hungry. My friend didn’t like the tomato relish/salsa on her Full English Breakfast, she felt it spoilt it.
