I was very pleased with the room and location, which was more than satisfactory for the price. You have everything you need, so it's a great place to stay if you're in between trains or flights. Fast and easy check in. Staff were very helpful and polite. There is also a bar where you can get snacks and drinks that you can drink there or take to your room. China town, shopping centres and a Tesco Express are also very nearby, so you will have no trouble finding shops or somewhere good to eat. It's also realy close to New Street Station, so I will definitely consider using this hotel again in future.

The wi-fi cut out quite a few times and couldn't handle downloads, but apart from that I was perfectly happy with the room and location.

Nice customer service and friendly staff at the front desk. Travelled from ireland to visit family in Birmingham. Arrived with early morning flight. They allowed us to check into the room before 10am even though their check-in time is 2pm. That was so helpful, as we were already exhausted from lack of 😴 Also their was tea/coffee option in the room, shower was decent. The staff agreed to keep our luggages after check out, while we went out shopping before catching our flight ✈️ back home. It was a great relief for us. Easily accessible by every mode of transport and less than 30mins drive from the airport, a stone throw from their massive shopping centre and restaurants.

Nothing really, just the TV didn't work but we were too tired to watch TV anyways..

We missed the hotel as the signage was too high. The property was centrally located and accessible to local restaurants and the bullring.

It was dated and it did not have a fridge or microwave to use. I also had an issue with the euro car park facility, I logged into the terminal in the hotel when I checked in and upon exit after 48hrs, the car park fee was the full rate and not the hotel subsidised rate. I had to disturb the hotel staff to contact the car park provider to arrange the subsidised car park fee, the time taken to achieve this was in excess of 45mins which delayed my onward journey significantly.

We've stayed here quite a few times and it's basic but clean and literally next door to new street train station! Prices have gone up a little but to be expected.

Bathroom floors always seem a bit sticky....bring some disposal/light slippers. Room can be on the hot side we didn't bother asking for a fan but I'm sure they would of provided one!

Excellent locations short walk from Grand Central station. Friendly staff lead by Majed who knows what hospitality is all a about. Home from home when I return to Birmingham

Nothing - keep it as it is

I was really impressed with this hotel for the price of it. Location was great, I expected it to be noisy but it wasn't (I did sleep with window closed and was on the 4th floor) and thought it would be hot but it wasn't. Room was small but had everything I needed: little en suite, desk, kettle, bath mat and plenty of towels etc. Shower took a bit of working out but was great once I had. Staff were super helpful and I could leave my luggage whilst I was at my conference. The paid multistorey car park was really secure and the discount for hotel patrons was two thirds. It really was just a 2 minute walk away. The hotel felt really secure too, as a woman travelling alone I felt safe. Even provided decaf coffee sachets. Thank you!

Room was a little tatty. Lift was a little confusing as it's so old school but had character and I was so glad it had one. WiFi when working on my laptop was pretty slow but it was fine for the mobile phone. Mattress a little uneven but I slept fine.

room was good value for money and room was spacious. the location was perfect and right beside the main train station and close to the center of the city. the staff were very friendly and it was fantastic that we could store our bags free of charge before check in so we could explore the city.

the cleanliness of the room was not great and the general cleanliness of the hotel was not great either. there was only one pillow per bed and the mattress wasn't great on the bed. there was also a few holes in the celling and the floor boards under the carpet were loose or broken.

Excellent value for money, £33 for a single room' bang in the middle of the city, literally behind the main railway station. There are a lot of restaurants and eateries that won't break your back with exorbitant prices. I have used the hotel before' loved it first time. It has got character. My room is mainly in the attic and it has got so much character. It is clean, on-suite , cosy, you feel so comfortable in it. In Birmingham a bed in a hostel room is more than the price here. It is very quiet, with all the main facilities The bathroom is clean and big... I come to Birmingham fairly often. I will certainly come back. I know I will sleep well and save myself a lot of money. Location great right next door to New Street station and not a long walk from the coach station. Room was clean and nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We stayed 2 nights and our beds were made and were given clean towels both days,not something I've experienced with staying in a larger brand hotel before.

If your a light sleeper because of the location it is a busy street outside but something to be expected when you're visiting a busy city centre, maybe ask for a room off the main street side if you are.

The location is really convenient, it's right out the door of the train station. I liked the specific liminal feel of the place, it has this sort of nostalgic atmosphere to it that is hard to describe. I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay there.
