We took the train to Cambridge and used Uber from the railway station to the hotel, very easy and cheap. The city centre is just 15 minutes by foot. As for the room, there were comfortable beds, enough pillows, a kettle, a desk, a tiny bathroom with provided soap, plenty of towels for all of us. Sufficient for a short-term stay. I read some complaints that there were some issues with hot water. We experienced it too so we told it to the host and was told that we have to turn the thermostat in some way...anyway, I don't know what we had to do but the host managed to do it for us and the problem was solved. Therefore, I would recommend talking to the host if you have troubles with that.

The bathroom would need some fixing work but nothing that would bother us too much. You do hear everything from the other rooms but again, we expected that and it didn't bother us.

Nice room very well decorated and fairly calm. Confortable bed. Well localized, the walk until the city center is pretty, along the river. Tea, coffee and small biscuits available each morning. Clean towels and bed sheets, changed everyday. Possibility to leave luggages for free. Our host were so kind and gave us many advices for our stay, and even a map. Many thanks for all :)

it is a lovely pub with new refurbished rooms. My room was very nicely decorated and the bathroom, with a proper bath, was absolutely spotless. There was a good size desk to work at and you can have dinner in the pub which was reasonably priced. I didn’t try the breakfast because I had to be in work especially early but I am told it’s a continental breakfast with ham eggs etc. if it’s like the rest I expect it to be pretty good. I will be coming back.

Hotel easy to find by taxi (also by bus within 8 min walk). Check in quick, owners were helpful. Upon check in, we were given city map with detailed Cambridge colleges and punting (the boat ride) trip, useful for those wishing to see the campuses. Bus stop to the left is 1 min walk only; and another one to the right 8 main walk. We stayed one night, on short notice and got good price. We love our room, clean, bright and spacious on ground floor with big window to the street and garden. We used the bus to go to where we need in the centre, it was easy, scenic and enjoyable ride that got us see areas which we did not plan to but glad to pass. Just note that this guest house is owned by elderly couple, so it helps to adjust our mind as guests to be respectful during our stay. There is bell provided or email the owner if we need anything and be polite to the elders. Thank you opening your home for us.

Nothing, it is great for the price.

No breakfast but there was a lovely cafe literally across the road. The location was great, just a short walk through a park to the city centre, along the river bank. The room was nice, and the owner was very friendly and helpful.

The pillows were a bit hard, and the curtains weren't very effective, so summer mornings are quite bright.

Very friendly staff. I had problems with the shower and they came and explained immediately!

My room was very cold at night as it was the penultimate to the boiler but there was a spare blanket and that worked fine. The polished wooden floor was very slippery so I’d recommend some indoor footwear with some traction. I did have this with me.

very lovely home - great if you want to feel like you are living in Cambridge and this is your everyday life. I loved waking up and starting my day from here

a bit far from the city centre - I did not mind walking 15/20 minutes in the morning but it was a bit tiresome in the evening. also my bathroom was rather small, though not too inconvenient for one person
