Great Breakfast selection, helpful staff, good size room and great shower. Next to the train station (10mins Cambridge) every 30mins. Car Park 7.50 a day - cheaper on the train station if at a weekend. Pub opposite closed at weekends but a small Bar in the Hotel. Pizza and Curry available in the evening. 25 Min walk to the Tickle Arms in the next village - worth the walk - great Drinks,Food and Service.

Back stairway needs a clean and maybe a long handle dustpan and brush to sweep up during breakfast - some diners drop stuff. didn't effect an overall very enjoyable stay.

This is our second visit to the hotel. The staff were very nice and helpful. Manager helped us relocate our room for more comfort for sleeping which was very helpful for us both. Amy in partcular at the front desk was exceptional, a very efficient, pleasant and helpful person. Charlotte also was excellent. and the breakfast staff were terrific. Always smiling and welcoming.

Well one offputting thing was when my husband and I were having a drink at the bar. I asked the staff member for some ice for my drink and she told me the ice machine was in the hall you can help yourself. That seemed an odd way to deal with a guest.

The hotel’s location was convenient to our destination of Duxford It was clean, bright and comfortable but, sadly, the bed was only a double which does not compare well to other hotels such as Premier Inn. The staff were friendly, helpful and always easy to contact. The breakfast had a wide variety of choices and a bonus that it was included in the price.

The bed being only a double was disappointing: the mattress was soft and unsupportive and flexed each time either myself or my partner moved; the duvet hardly covered the bed, it felt more like a single than a double; such a disappointment!

Haven't stayed in a holiday inn express for many years and was suitably impressed. It seems a recently new building, and rooms are still in very good condition. Service and welcome was excellent, and breakfast had a good selection of four hit items, and an array of continental Very relaxed atmosphere in the hotel.

My only criticism would be , that sound insulation could be better. My room was at the front on 1st floor and coukd hear people talking outside by the pub. At breakfast I overheard conversation how one on the station side could see people on the platform from his room

Carpets in bedroom stained. The staff supervising breakfast on the Saturday were extremely inefficient. There weren’t any bowls for cereal and fruit I used a side plate, but eventually went to the receptionist to get some. Had to return to reception to ask for butter and inform them that the coffee machine had run out of milk. Tables weren’t cleared either. During the week breakfast ran very efficiently.

The staff were really friendly and professional. The room was very inviting - comfy bed (a teeny bit hard for me but still very nice (you can’t please everyone)) and comfy sofa. REALLY nice to have a more sensible amount of tea, coffee, milk items than most hotels. I loved the night light in the bathroom - really sensible and handy. Towels were arranged nicely at the end of bed with a chocolate on each towel which looked great on entering the room and tasted nice. My pet hate is entering a room to find there are not enough towels, so this was great. Breakfast was hot and tasty, with a good choice of hot and cold, and plenty of comfortable seating. Staff were quick to clear used plates, which was impressive. We had a really pleasant stay and will definitely return.

I expected to have to use my room card to access the lift/stairs for added security, so a bit disappointed we could just walk upstairs to the rooms. TV a bit old and remote was a bit temperamental.

We had a little bit of difficulty locating same - The Post Code took us to the wrong side of the Railway Station and there was NO SIGNAGE on the somewhat twisty entrance Roads to the hotel ! We also felt that the additional charge of £ 7.50p for Disability Parking was unreasonable when we were paying £ 146.50p (Non refundable) for our single night’s ‘bed & breakfast’ stay.

The Holiday Inn Express was a very nice simple and clean hotel in a very convenient station. Staff were very polite and welcoming. The check-in process was simple. I always have my doubts about continental buffet-styled breakfast, but this exceeded my expectations.

The room didn't warm up very well. The instructions stated that it would take around 20 minutes to warm up to the chosen temperature, but the thermometre moved from 17 degrees to 18.5 degrees over 1 hour. It wasn;t too bad in the end. The night was very comfortable.

breakfast good. Dinner offered a limited range of curries but at least it meant we didn't have to drive elsewhere (pub next door closed for a function.)

had not realised the hotel is right next to the station and were booked into the second floor which felt like being on the station platform. Trains glide in and out reasonably silently, but those passing through are noisier. Would recommend asking for a room away from the station side. Unless you are a train spotter. Also, the tv seemed rather small for the room. And a tiny bottle of water from reception seemed extortionately expensive! Recommend guests bring their own water.

I was met by very friendly reception staff for my three-night stay. My room was exceptionally clean and warm. I dined two nights in the bar, once was a Thai curry and the other and Indian curry, both very good. The location could not be better for train travellers being immediately adjacent to the station. For those on foot attending the Duxford museum there is a walk of about a mile and a half over flat ground.

I had two plumbing issues which did not inconvenience me greatly and which I mentioned on leaving which I assume would be fixed for the next guests.
