Handy location to drive to, with a reasonable amount of free off road parking. It is about 25-30 mins walk into the centre of Cambridge with various good quality shops, bars and restaurants on the way (some 5 mins away near the railway station)... I ate at the excellent quality Oak Bistro (18 mins walk towards the town centre). The hotel has a Chinese restaurant which smelled great, and i was tempted, but I was only staying 1 night and didn't try it as I'd pre booked the Oak Bistro.

The hotel is clean and tidy but as you would expect for the price its rather tired and dated. A little noise at times, but overall I wasn't expecting much and it was actually much better than I expected!

Great location, easy walk to the train station and on a good bus route for where we needed to go. Room was clean but the beds were a little soft for our liking. No lift and our room was at the top of the house so we had to haul all our heavy luggage up a lot of stairs. We could not sleep with the window open as our room faced on to the main road and so was very noisy. Breakfast was basic but more than adequate. Staff were all very friendly. Would stay again.

Comfortable, spotlessly clean, very friendly, helpful staff. The bathroom was very small, but perfectly adequate and very clean and new looking. Free secure car parking (cameras everywhere) is worth a lot in Cambridge.

As mentioned in some of the other reviews, some of the decor is a bit dated. It is an old building, so perhaps to be expected, and the decor did not have a negative effect on our stay.

Just it fitted the bill for what I was doing. Down in Cambridge for a reunion down the road at the Earl of Derby, so location was brilliant. Staff were extremely helpful since I dumped my gear there early in the morning and came back mid afternoon to check in properly.

No complaints I was going to pay for and have the Continental Breakfast, but I wanted to dash away quickly before 8am so skipped it

The hotel is well located. Bus stop just across the street to ride into central Cambridge. Many bars and shops within 1 block from the hotel. Triple room I had was clean and had plenty space. Very good shower ensuite. The hotel continental breakfast is good and well served - a good deal for 5 pounds per guest. Liked the good benefit vs. cost.

Spacious TPL room I stayed (#234) is at the top floor. And it is accessible by staircase only (no elevator available), not advised for elderly or disabled guests. There is parking space at the back of the property, not plenty of spaces but it is OK.

very welcoming staff. They let us to park a car before checking in and after checking out, so we could leave car and enjoy Cambridge a little longer.

Late check in and early check out. The shower was with mold and beds are a bit old. room looked a bit old and needs some refreshing. I think a bit overpriced for the location and how it looks but in general it was fine.

We usually don’t have a breakfast, but we had dinner there, the chef and all the staff are extremely kind and the kitchen is superb, you can enjoy really delicious food.

Everything is good. It’s not the first time we’ve stayed there and I admit that this time they surprised me with the new prices 😊but the attitude of the staff to the guests manages to compensate for this 😊

Not the most luxurious but so cozy and welcoming. The staff were wonderful. Service-minded and very friendly. The location was good and in a calm environment. A 20-minute walk to the old city center of Cambridge and a bus stop just outside the hotel. I highly recommend this homely accommodation.

The room was spacious. The hotel is close to the train station and the bus stop. Staff is friendly.

A bit old (as most of the things in the UK). Would be nice if they could at least refresh the paint in the rooms. Also, there is no fridge in the room. But overall, it is a good option for the price

the location was great. a few mins to shops and restaurants. near botanic gardens. and walking distance from town. single rooms available with en-suite. car parking at back which was great. helpful staff.

rooms were warm - even with window open all the time but a fan was provided which helped. curtain rail was broken which made it difficult to keep light out. advised reception on departure so it can be fixed for future guests.
