We had an exceptional and unforgettable stay from the moment we entered the hotel, and everything was wonderful. All the staff were wonderful, especially the young man at the reception. They offered us tours that were very enjoyable to visit the pyramids, the Egyptian Museum, Alexandria, and the White Desert, accompanied by our guide (Marwa). He met all our needs and it was an excellent experience. Very enjoyable, and the view of the rooftop from the top was very good, especially the Bedouin tent. I loved everything there. I recommend it.

Fantastic traditional hotel with beautiful Fittings & elegant broad staircase with solid treads easy to climb even with a stick. charming, friendly staff who work efficiently & professionally. I love the biggest single malt whiskey collection in any hotel ever seen. Reading the labels can take a long time / but the whiskey menu is easier & informative. Chef excellent too. To me the Ardshiel, Flora, Marion & their caring team is the Mull of Kintyre.

I couldn’t stay longer sadly too far from Dorset 😉

Very helpful staff, very good food - and a very broad selection of whisky in the bar, very much a home from home. Nothing was too much for the staff to do to help – I witnessed very supportive and instructive management – a model for many.

There appeared to be no lift to the top floor – meaning that a heavy case had to be carried out a number of flights of stairs – it is in the nature of the building, it is old - but very warm....has charm, and clearly there is difficulty in installing a lift to such a prestigious building.

We enjoyed our stay so much. The staff were very friendly and could not have been more helpful. The hotel is near the centre of Campbelltown which was very convenient as we were Travelling by bus and going to an event in the Town Hall for 2 nights. The hotel had everything we needed from start to finish and nothing was too much trouble. From arrival to enjoying our packed lunch on the bus on the way home we could not have had a better trip.

Ardshiel is in a quiet location within walking distance of the local amenities. Great choice of food for breakfast and evening meals. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel also has an excellent choice of whisky.

Room poorly lit. An extra lamp in seating area would help. The handbasin in the bathroom was tiny with an awkward mid sink placed tap. Okay if you just want to wash your hands. Not everyone is happy (or able) to climb into the bath for a shower.

The Ardshiel is lovely hotel full of Scottish tartan and warmth. We were a party of 5 in two rooms, a family room and a double attic room. The family room is quite small for 4 people but we got by, it is warm and cosy. The double was lovely and spacious with lovely views. You can walk everywhere and the main town street is just 3 mins away on foot. the breakfast is hot or cold and plentiful. Staff are lovely.

A lock on the bathroom would have been good and a small fridge as we are carrying medicine with us.

This is a really good hotel for a stay in Campbeltown. It is in a nice area only about a 5 minute walk from the centre. My room had a beautiful sea view which I really enjoyed in the evenings and early morning! The staff were all pleasant and helpful

Not really a complaint, but if possible would be nice to have the options of beans, mushrooms and normal sausages (not just Lorne) at breakfast

Lovely welcome , friendly staff , delicious food . Bed the comfiest I’d ever slept in . Lovely atmosphere in the bar and restaurant , the range of whiskies and how they were presented was amazing

Nothing . Only a very small thing , the hanging baskets at the front door need a wee refresh , it’s just the first thing you see and a shame as the rest of the hotel is so well maintained .

Beautiful room with plenty of space and a comfortable bed. Great location along the harbour road. Short walk to the town. Impressive building, very traditional and well preserved. Great food and friendly staff.

The only issue we had was the seal on the shower screen didn’t quite keep water from dripping onto the bathroom floor.

Everything fine, staff friendly, accommodation relaxing and good standard, good and ample breakfast

complimentary drinks in room a bit random - e.g. only one sachet of hot chocolate. A bit of a lack of information - on when was breakfast, passwords for internet etc. perhaps more "help yourself" food at breakfast - more sachets of marmalade, "help yourself" bread, which you could just get, without waiting to be given more toast etc. However definitely no major problems !
