The Salthouse Hotel is in the most beautiful location - views from the bar/restaurant and the spa are spectacular. I visited Fair Head and Murlough Bay, both of which were short drives from the hotel. Ballycastle beach is a just a walkable distance away too. Room was very comfortable with all the amenities you would expect. Really enjoyed the food at the restaurant too, I had breakfast, lunch and dinner over my stay.

Breakfast was included in my rate which was great but felt lunch and dinner menu was a bit too pricey

Few details but I am a little detail-oriented and it does matter to me when you pay such a price for a 4 stars hotel: few details here and there on the wall (traces of crayon) that could be fixed, and the door of our room was pretty much impossible to open/close. It actually got stuck on the last day and maintenance had to come help us open it. The door clearly is too big for its frame. It's a detail, but for a 4 starts open, you'd expect this to be fixed.

Great location, stunning views, wonderful eco philosophy. Staff were very attentive, and friendly with our kids. Decor and vibe was really relaxing.

Beds were a bit small and uncomfortable for my liking (and given the price point). Also no aircon which made the room quite stuffy at night (even with windows open). Breakfasts were delicious but heavy - an option of cereal or porridge would have been good, especially for kids.

A great breakfast with a gorgeous view. The rooms were spacious. Nice bathing products.

The afternoon reception staff members were cold fish. Not a welcoming place. The property was not particularly close to town—too far to safely walk. We had a crap view from our room, and our side of the courtyard , right in front of our room door, had a shed filled with construction materials and stored items—not aesthetically pleasing at all. Loud-slamming room door.

location , wonderful views , interiors very modern and rich . I liked the layout of breakfast with limited waste. however on the small tables the cake stand does not allow you to talk to the person sitting opposite . the staff very helpful when I asked for it to be taken away . good choice for breakfast menu .

didn’t like the options for eating limited space as a resident to just sit outside of bedroom need a shelf or table in bathroom to put make up bag on and not in the sink

The room was huge and one of the nicest we have stayed in. Dining and drinks were excellent and great value for money. The waiters were super friendly and accommodating. The hotel is a work in progress, so we look forward to the new additions when we return again. We took a walk around the property and the cabins available to book look lovely. We did not make use of the spa facilities but will do next time.

Breakfast was excellent, from way everything was presented , to options offered and quality. Staff excellent and nothing is to much bother. Property on excellent site , looking over Ballycastle and onwards to Rathlin Island. We had lovely weather with sun which only made the views more outstanding. Rooms and facilities were excellent and would recommend hotel to everyone

Im going to be petty here but i thought the room could do with a pop of colour everything was grey grey grey nice room but blah . It was missing something like a wow but it wouldn't put me off staying again

Everything exceeded expectations. The hotel decor was to an extremely high spec as was the food and spa. great attention to detail all-round. a great stay

The only improvement would have been in spa access. I am unable to use the Sauna/Steam/Hot tub but to gain access to the relaxation room I had to pay for access to all of those facilities. maybe a more tiered approach could be considered,

Very luxurious hotel, but didn't feel pretentious. Relaxed luxury I would say, it was just perfect! Comfortable, warm rooms that were beautifully decorated. The restaurant was lovely and intimate feeling, the meal was so tasty, a real treat! It was nice to be able to sit with a drink by the fire after our dinner, staff were very attentive. Tranquil surroundings, close to the beach for a nice relaxing walk.
