Everything. The room looking over the harbour was very spacious, very comfortable and luxurious. We loved the period decor and could not fault anything. We also enjoyed a drink in the Black Sheep Bar, and dinner in the Harbour Grille dining room. The reception staff were excellent, and having a lift was very convenient. We were very sorry we could not stay more than one night. We highly recommend this hotel in Campbeltown.

Nothing. Everything was wonderful.

Hotel was located in the center by the coast, fabulous view from the room. Room was spacious and clean. Amenities provided. Toilet was spacious and bright too. Alison's service was excellent, from the time we check in till we are out. Very friendly and welcoming. Free parking right outside the hotel. Breakfast was nice.

Room was a little stuffy and warm even when a fan was provided. Did not manage to open the window as there were too many insects flying in.

Lovely old hotel in a fantastic location. Large rooms with a big comfy bed and everything you need for an overnight stay. Staff were all great and very helpful.

In my humble opinion, a little overpriced but i get that there are not a lot of hotels in that area so the hotels get away with the pricing. Our trip was very last minute so we had no alternative to pay what they asked as everywhere else was full apart from The Royal and that was probably due to the cost.

The location was central and room had excellent view over waterfront. The provision for breakfast was more than acceptable. The bedroom and ensuite modernised and extremely comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant.

On arrival nearby parking was difficult. The Dining Room was functional but basic. Very noisy acoustics. No lounge in which to relax.

Lovely room, and there being a lift was a real boon to my husband, who is a stroke survivor and struggles with stairs.

Not too impressed with the breakfast. The waitress who served us was lovely, and very friendly, but given that we paid more for breakfast than we did for dinner, it wasn't as good as you'd expect for the price paid. The hot water (for tea) wasn't nearly hot enough, and you couldn't help yourself to toast etc. as you can in other (cheaper) hotels.

We were arriving a bit late. The lady working the desk called to make sure we were getting along alright and then inquired if we had anything to eat. She said the restaurant was closing right about when we planned to arrive. I told her not to worry about it and we went on ahead. Once we arrived she said she kept the restaurant open for us so we could have a meal. This is exceptional customer service and we are very grateful.

Room was lovely and the location was perfect. Bright sunny bathroom was a joy. We had two lovely meals in the restaurant.

The only thing that I thought was poor was the cost of the breakfast. If you discounted it for residents I think more people would pay for it, but at over £15 it was too pricey and we went elsewhere.

Excellent staff. Warm friendly welcome. Young lady on reception could not have been more helpful. Restaurant staff friendly and made being served good fun. Very good quality food and generous portions. Bedroom clean and comfortable with a great view of the harbour, good size bathroom.

Nothing.

Lovely staff, clean comfortable room, street parking across the road. The bathroom and shower were modern and spacious. Visiting relatives so did not use hotel’s dining room. The views from our window out on to the harbour, water and the hills above the town were exceptional.

Lighting in the room could have been brighter.

Lovely staff and especially Maggie- Anne she was lovely. Everyone in Campbeltown were brilliant and so friendly and welcoming. We had an amazing stay made all teh better by the weather which was glorious.

The hotel is getting a bit tired now with various furniture a bit battered.
