The kitchen does not cut corners on ingredients, so all food is of high quality. For a continental breakfast, the range of available food was good. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean, and the quiet location made for a good night's sleep.

One small suggestion: I would like to find a way to switch off the towel rail in the bathroom (and possibly open the window). The outside temperature was in the high 20s, and having a heated towel rail made the bathroom very warm -- some of this heat got into the bedroom. (Of course, this comment only applies during the summer)

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was more than we expected as we had booked a family room but ended up with two rooms: a bedroom and a living room with tv which was lovely. Everything was spotless and good quality. We had a great sleep in a large & very comfortable bed. The food was excellent. Very good choice for the continental breakfast. We definitely will return.

A couple of things that would be helpful is somewhere to hang clothes, other than behind the doors, and a mirror in each bedroom. However, we don't want to take away from what was a lovely stay and we will be returning.

We needed a halfway stop on a long journey and we struck gold. The family room is actually two rooms, more of an apartment - with bathroom and corridor between. High quality so comfortable beds and bedding, powerful luxurious shower and products in the bathroom, so clean so comfortable and I cannot believe it’s not more expensive. We turned up very late so the pub was closed but they accommodated our late arrival and we’re very nice about it. We liked it so much we stayed for lunch the next day before setting off. This is a beautiful place, lovely garden and surrounds and the stay was beyond our expectations. You hope you’ll find a place like this when you book somewhere unknown but you rarely do.

Everything was excellent. Tucked away peaceful location, pretty views from windows, friendly, helpful staff, Room 2 was perfect for a family with adjoining bedrooms, clean, nicely decorated, very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent pastries and lovely bread and local jams, fresh fruit and good latte

Bar closes 6pm on Sunday evening. Staff were very helpful and found us somewhere still serving food - Gomshall Mill - food was good. Bathroom nicely decorated. Powerful shower. Shower screen not long enough to avoid floor getting wet It is hard to find negatives when everything about it was so good.

The property has been renovated to a very high spec but maintains a warm and homely atmosphere of a traditional British Inn. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We dined in the evening and the menu was balanced and delivered expertly by the chef. T Our room was exceptionall, overlooking the quiet and beautifully planted garden. Every fitting was well imagined and exceeded expectations.

Nothing to do with the establishment t but a road closure in the village meant a protracted diversion to get to the inn

The continental breakfast was very good - although no muesli offered?? The street the pub is in is very narrow and parking difficult - the pub was busy on a Sat when we arrived , but they managed to squeeze us in a space by moving the coffee shops tables! The room , beds and en suite were all very nicely furnished and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming.

Maybe offer a cooked breakfast?

This property is in the most beautiful location. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was clean, beautifully furnished with teas, coffee a coffee machine and a wonderful shower! The restaurant over looked the garden where we were served a delicious continental breakfast. We honestly felt like valued guests and customers. A real gem of a place❤️

Nothing, it was perfect.

The Kings Head is a gem in the hills of Surrey, near Dorking. The rooms are quaint, clean and comfy. The staff is wonderful. Our breakfast was continental with fresh baked breads, homemade jams, cereals, teas/coffees from their cafe. We highly recommend it and will return. (Note-If you are sight-seeing, you will need a car).

I really loved everything.

Exceptional, very clean, gorgeous big bed, fantastic shower, lots of toiletries, lots of tea/coffee/hot chocolate/biscuits. Fantastic breakfast, fresh pastries, lots of choice of jams and spreads and fresh ham and cheese as well as cereals and fresh fruit! Fantastic dinner served in the evening in the pub and beautiful gardens to have a drink outside!

The staff were really friendly and relaxed. The rooms were comfortable and nicely furnished. There is also a beautiful garden to enjoy. We ate in the restaurant and the food and service were excellent. Staying at The Kings Head we felt looked after and at home. The village and surrounding countryside are beautiful and unspoilt.
