Clean comfortable cosy room and bathroom. Lovely breakfast with chef providing vegetarian and vegan meals on request. Adequate parking. Very willing and helpful staff service. Peaceful location.
A bit remote and isolated. Nearly 8 miles of very narrow single track Farm B roads with steep gradients once leaving main A5 road. Not straightforward to find good long interesting footpaths/places for walks off road. Could offer vegetarian and vegan options on the food menu. None there at present.

The food was exceptionally good - delicious evening meal and breakfast. Good value for money, the portions were big so we we ended up with a doggy bag and a midnight feast back in the room. The pork dish was one of the tastiest things I've ever had. Very friendly staff, well trained and respectful.
There was a shower attachment on the roll-top bath which is perfectly fine but it would have been nicer to have a shower as I do tend to spray the bathroom whilst using these . So, we didn't bother and waited until we got home.

Location was far off the beaten track; beautiful, tranquil and peaceful. Room was extremely quiet and comfortable - largest and most comfortable bed we've ever slept in away from home! Breakfast was like banquet with so much choice- kippers, salmon, cereal, full english etc! Pub was oldy worldy with lovely welcoming fire with friendly helpful staff. Restaurant food looked excellent; we only ate one evening meal there as were out all day until late. Lovely place, hope to revisit one day. Thank you Jackie and team.
Nothing really but if I was being really picky car parking was a bit tricky at times as there is only room for 7 cars. Its an extremely rural location (roads are not for the faint hearted) in a tiny village, so to be expected.

Lovely atmosphere here with friendly helpful staff. Beautiful meals from an award winning chef. There is a small spa (sauna and outdoor hot tub) but due to the rain I didnt use them but I did get a massage from the beautician on site.
Roads leading to the village were difficult to negotiate as I am not used to such narrow, steep road with heavy traffic flow.

The hotel is a handsome building in a pretty village, located in beautiful scenery. The room was comfortable and well-equipped. The cosy bar is full of character and the dining room is nicely arranged. The food (dinner & breakfast) was exceptional. The staff are friendly, efficient and helpful.
The complicated payment arrangements with booking.com. The bill was taken out of my account a week before my stay and then I also had to pay on arrival. This meant that, admittedly only for a short period of time, that I had been charged twice for the room.

Lovely fire in the bar area greeted us as we checked in at reception. The staff were all very helpful, and friendly. Room was very comfortable with a mountain view, so very quiet. It had everything we needed. We had booked an evening meal and that was excellent. Delicious food! Good choice at breakfast of hot food, if a bit limited on cereals etc. However, that was a minor point. Village location and very rural. A great place to get away from it all. Overall, superb stay and we would book again if in the area.

Beautiful building , fantastic views. Very comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Food was fresh and tasty.
The hot tub opening hours were limited .11am til 8pm .when you are in the middle of nowhere it would have been nice to go back in after dinner especially when arriving late.

Excellent restaurant with an adventurous menu which we loved, the cheese creme brulee and the soup was delicious. The hot tub and sauna were lovely to have in the afternoon sun.
The bed in room 2 was unfortunately very hard and the double bed was made up of 2 mattresses.
