The Ferry House provided us with everything that we were hoping and needing from our stay there.. and more! The food was outstanding, all local or homegrown and incredibly nourishing. We were able to go for walks without needing the car and the bird watching was amazing and might be our new favourite hobby! The staff were so friendly and we were able to sit by the fire and read books/ play games for as long as we wanted. Unexpectedly, they also offered massages and treatments, which just topped off our stay perfectly! Thank you so much :)

The room was amazing, so clean, spacious, decorated beautifully, and smelt amazing. The setting was stunning, and all the staff that worked there were polite and friendly.

Although breakfast mostly tasted lovely, we were surprised to only find overcooked scrambled eggs on offer. With the cost fairly high (£240 for our night) It would have been nice to have poached eggs and maybe other continental offers, pastries maybe. Also, 1 coffee machine for all guests wasn't really enough.

Everything. This place is not selling itself highly enough. It is without a doubt one of the most luxurious location stays that me and my partner have stayed at. And we are well travelled too. From the pleasant and informative bar staff to the guys who grow all the fresh produce on site for the incredible chefs to produce such amazing high end contemporary plates of food and drink. Yes I said drinks too! There philosophy on food and zero wastage is noticeable in the efforts to provide customers with food that is second to none quality. The rooms are gorgeous as is the entire building and complex that they run. The views from our window over the estuary was stunning and so nice to wake up to. Just wish we had booked more nights here as it was most definitely the best place we stayed on our entire road trip. I take my hat off to all of you that make this place what it is. That includes the bar staff, chefs, treatment staff and lastly the groundsmen which include the allotment and fresh produce guys. You are all a very valuable asset to the isle of Sheppey :).

The mosquitoes down closer to the water edge!

Very friendly & helpful staff throughout our three-night stay at this lovely secluded hotel away from all the holidaymakers elsewhere on the island. The freshly cooked food was absolutely delicious - and from a unique menu. Our room was very clean & adequate, and was refreshed every morning, with fresh bottled water also supplied.

We were in the twin-bed Room 1, but there was no nice view - just a frosted glass window which through the small opening looked onto guttering running between two roofs. If there are lots of people in the restaurant below then the noise can filter upstairs into the room. The Harty Ferry Road leading to the hotel could seriously do with some TLC, but that's down to Kent Highways! Drive carefully!

Lovely new rooms; great bathrooms: The food was superb, perfect portion sizes and delicious seasonal ingredients, the staff were very friendly and really informative and helpful with food and wine selections.

Nothing to dislike about the property, it’s just totally out on a limb, but you know this when booking.

Location and food is excellent, the Inn itself is beautiful and perfect for a weekend get away. The views are stunning and most of the food is grown and prepared on site. Beautiful old furniture and feature’s throughout.

I was travelling for work as specified on the search options. I had some to do after arrival but as the evening went on, being a bar below, my room was very noisy and individual voices could be heard below until quite late. The room was small with no view as it was booked on a reduced rate rate through booking.com which was disappointing. A small desk would also have been useful.

The room was clean, bright, quiet & comfortable with an excellent view of the estuary. There were tea & coffee making facilities and yummy cookies. A jacuzzi bath was a bonus with great toiletries.

There wasn't enough space in the lounge for many guests to sit & have a drink. The addition of weekend papers in the lounge would be a good idea as there is no TV to watch and no local shops to buy a paper.

The overall charm of the place. The location in terms of remoteness has its positive and negative aspects. Nice views from the property. Milk for your hot drinks in the room is provided in a mini flask at reception, a lovely touch.

Also location, it’s a 15mins drive to anywhere and probably 5 minutes of that is to get back to the main road!

Extremely accommodating staff- we had to change rooms from small Twin to large Double - all done with the minimum of fuss.

Room 2 - large pieces of wood on the bed ends that I walked past twice and have bruised my legs so keep clear of them!

Really lovely rooms, with high quality furnishings and super comfortable bed. Sustainable ethos, explained on the brochure. Homemade cookies made it even more special.

Very little, but if I was being ultra-picky, I'd suggest popping cushioning on the feet of the dressing table chair (hearing our neighbours scrape the chair on the floor was a bit annoying!).
