Staff were all exceptional. Helpful and friendly. BED was amazingly comfortable. Curtains blacked out the room nicely for sleep. And was a nice quiet nights sleep. Tea and coffee in room was plentiful and tasty. We drank loads. Restaurant was amazingly gorgeous very tasty food. Couldn’t ask for better Service all round. Made our stay special for our anniversary. Communal spaces downstairs to lounge in, with a few drinks, were luxurious and lovely and very well decorated. Calm very comfortable and a pleasure to enjoy. Looking out over the bay. The outside area at the front was perfect to watch sunset, and luckily, a distant lightning storm. Beautiful. Will definitely book again for future treats.

There was dried blood on my quilt cover.! Defo not ours. And a dried on mark on my bottom sheet. Bedding seemed perfectly clean and fresh other than this. Didn’t notice till morning, or else I’d have had someone to come up to room to check it out and change it. I left a note on the bed showing it. I am sure it would have been sorted had I noticed in time to bring it to attention. The cups provided, didn’t fit under the drip nozzle on the coffee machine in our room. So had to set it up, then take bottom drip tray off, put cup under machine, without tray in place, to make the drink. However the resulting drink was really delicious.

The staff were excellent, my room was refreshed daily and nothing was too much trouble.

The room had a restricted view of the sea, with quite small windows, when you sat on the window seat, you could not see the sea, so suggest it is sold as a restricted sea view. I personally found the bed quite hard and the duvet very heavy, maybe not a summer one? Perhaps a box of tissues in the room would go down quite well. The breakfasts were very good once you new you could have more than one item, i.e. something more than porridge etc.

We stayed in a superior room with balcony and sea view. The view from the balcony was just perfect! Watching the sunset over the sea with a glass of wine, what could be better! Really good choice of tea/coffee in the room which was great and the bathrobes were a nice touch. We had both dinner and breakfast and the food was incredible with very generous portions and staff were very attentive and friendly. Being able to easily walk into Whitstable was great so the location is perfect.

The room in general was lovely but could have done with a lick of paint here and there and the bathroom wasn’t as clean as it could have been. Having said that the view and the location outweighed the negative and I will definitely be staying again in the future. Parking was a bit tricky. We couldn't get into the hotel car park when we arrived and then spent a good 30 minutes driving up and down to find a space on the sea front, but, it was a Saturday afternoon and the sun was out so it was to be expected. I would suggest giving a bit of extra time just for parking if you are staying on a weekend.

Everything.I am disabled and usually the rooms are functional but here it was huge! Comfy and not just “put together”and easily manouverable in my wheelchair. This trip was to celebrate my 82nd birthday and some of the family stayed as well whilst my son lives in Tankerton so could join us.

Nothing……I initially booked seaview rooms but because of my disability the lift doesnt reach them so we all had city view rooms on the 1st floor. Didnt ask if there were any sea view rooms on that floor. No one spends much time in bedrooms anyway we made use of the excellent outside facilities..front of hotel and at the back.

Always love visiting this hotel, whether to stay or a stop by for a lovely breakfast or evening drinks. Got a lovely balcony view room, with the perfect sea view. Room was gorgeous with nice aesthetics. Especially love that it is dog-friendly - the kind staff even offered him a sausage for brekkie! Attentive helpful staff, even going out of their way to bring us wine glasses and plates when we ordered in due to the kitchen closing. Will definitely stay again.

slow service on the breakfast - but due to machinery breaking down. Have been here 2 previous occasions for food and it always has been super quick

Building is nice and great location, included breakfast is really good and prepared fresh. Friendly staff

The pictures for the family room with city view on booking.com were a bit misleading. I thought the single bed would be somewhat removed from the queen bed through a partition/different part of a modular room (based on photos on booking.com) but the room we got was a bit small with the single bed right next to the queen bed, 1 meter apart. However having looked on the website just now for the same room I can see one photo on there that better reflects the room we had - would suggest that this photo is added to booking.com to help manage expectations

Food was excellent, although streaky bacon was underdone at breakfast. Location was lovely Rooms were really nice Breakfast staff were lovely

Staff were not great, we did not get the correct glasses with our beer. Nobody came to clear glasses from our table outside, so I was having to do it, the whole of the bar at one end was covered in dirty glasses. One of the barman, was extremely rude and kept huffing and puffing and when he dropped some glasses when he was loading the dishwasher and swore and was moaning a lot!

Really liked our room. It was city facing but really bright and comfortable; nicely decorated with a huge bathroom. We've stayed before and are going back in the next week or so. Really enjoy the conservatory style dining room. It's an easy walk into Whitstable and plenty of strolling area directly in front of the hotel. Staff are friendly, no complaints at all.

It was during the school holidays and lovely weather so parking was a bit of an issue but even this was resolved fairly quickly.

Nice seafront room which was spacious, We had lunch and that was very tasty. We also had breakfast the next morning and was well presented. Nice staff. Added bonus of car park if you can get a space. We have been lucky when we have visited.

We had a little window was we could open and when we came back we had 2 pigeons in our room. They had left a mess, We got them out and reception cleaned up immediately but maybe a note not to leave window open or something over window to prevent this,

The check in was very friendly (Karen). We booked for dinner which was excellent, we all agreed it was delicious. The breakfast was also top notch with a lot of choice. We walked down to the harbour for lunch before we checked in and also had a good wander around the town of Whitstable. It was just the right distance from the hotel for walking there. The hotel had lots of comfortable places to sit and have a drink if you wanted to and the overall ambiance was friendly and relaxed.
