Very nice location, set in the wood but not far from the main village. Rooms were very, very clean. Bathroom a little dated but not a problem at all. Staff were excellent, facilities were decent if a little jaded in parts. Breakfast was really nice. Large selection of food to cayer for every taste. Drinks were reasonable in the bar. Plenty of room in the car park and a nice little walk through the woods nearby. Decent wi fi too. Frodsham village was such a nice, clean and welcoming place. Lots of shops. A few decent bars and pubs too. Bears Paw was nice for a drink in beer garden. We had dinner at Kash 22, cheesebhrger was amazing! Really happy with stay there, would go again.

When we arrived, it said 14.30 was check in. Booking .com stated 14.00, so be awarw of this. We had to hang round for a while until room was ready but no big deal. Small point but could do with some USB points in the plug sockets.

Large family room (2 singles, a double, a sofa and coffee table!) with all tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge which was a bonus! Very clean. Bathroom looked more recently renovated than the rest of the hotel. Swimming pool was the reason we booked this hotel - was great for our two young children and not busy despite being a members leisure club also. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and topped up regularly. Gorgeous view over the estuary from our table. Finally the staff were fantastic, all incredibly friendly and helpful.

Just a bit old and dated. Half the pillows were awful and need throwing out.

Helen was absolutely wonderful. She went above and beyond. It was my sons 16th birthday. Helen arranged to have balloons all over the bed with a printout saying happy 16th birthday usman. She did this at very short notice. I’m so impressed. Thank you Helen. Also Stephanie was very helpful to look after our luggage hours before the room was due to be ready. Thank you Stephanie. View from the bedroom was fantastic. Bathroom looked very nice. Leisure facilities were impressive.

Mattress in folding sofa was heavily stained. Shower hose only reached up to my knees. I had to sit in the bath and shower. No maintenance man was on premises to have a look at the shower. The restaurant at the hotel refused to warm up my special dietary food. The bedroom was extremely hot. No air con.

We had an executive room which was well appointed and had a great view over the Mersey estuary. There was a good buffet breakfast and evening meals had a good choice of menu. Our room was peaceful and overlooked a grassed area. Facilities were what you would expect for a three star hotel, plus some extras, e.g. swimming pool.

They didn't have many people available to assist with luggage - we were told we would have to wait 20 mins for assistance. The room was very warm and the windows had restrictors on them to stop them opening much. We found when we arrived that there was a big "biker" event booked on the Saturday, which restricted parking. It would have been good to have had some warning of this.

Booking online was easy. Room was very comfortable, no problems. View from room and restaurant was great. Price pretty reasonable for a hotel of this type. Staff in restaurant very polite and pleasant.

Food in restaurant was ok but not exciting - not much choice. When I was waiting in lobby I found a used kebab stick on the table. Paintwork was slightly shabby in some places around lobby. Could have done with automatic main doors when pulling suitcases. Receptionist sitting in her normal position couldn't see who was passing through lobby - maybe a security risk.

It's a great place, very nice staff, there is a monument just a few minutes away with an outstanding view of the Merseyside, quite impressive. We really enjoyed the swimming pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna. Overall, I would say our visit at Frodsham Forest Hills was a really good experience.

Unfortunately, we did encounter a few inconveniences, our door had some issues and often needed to slam it shut; we stayed next to the hallway entrance and it got annoying through the night as we could notice whenever those doors got closed.

The hotel was in a lovely area, perfect to walk up Frodsham Hill. Castle park in the village, perfect. The room was huge, clean , huge TV, toiletries. Breakfast has been the best I have had so far. Cheese, ham, cooked goods...pastries..lovely. Staff waiting on, great. The hotel is lovely and well used, just old fashioned and a little tired .

Please look at my good points first....this is my bad point, won't stop me staying in the hotel.... The entrance looks lovely as we approached, but there was rubbish on the floor, paper cups and even a sanitary towel , it was still there when we left. A huge disappointment was the pool. Oh my, the changing rooms were absolutely grim. Dirty, broken, mouldy. I would not want to go in there again. Children went in, but even they couldn't believe what they saw, very disappointed. Shame as it could be lovely. The pool itself was great, it was the changing rooms.

Stayed overnight to break up travel to Manchester Airport. Food was excellent (fish and chips one traveller and belly pork second traveller). Ordered cheese board which was taken in the room. Spanish house wines were lovely. Use of the swimming pool was a lovely addition and a gentle walk around the area took us to a well kept memorial gardens with lovely views. Conservatory area with large Carp/fish pond was outside this area too.

The staff at Forest Hills simply rocks from the front clerks to the housekeeping. While visiting Frodsham, we had some misfortune and also fell ill while we were visiting and there was a death in the family and they were so kind and helped us get cabs and directed things up to our room. When we felt good enough to have breakfast we did very much enjoy the buffet. Morning in the dining room was simply delightful. Also during an ice/snow event, the owner came and fetched us so we could make our plane (which was ultimately canceled but that is a different story). It was simply above and beyond. This hotel may be the only game in town but they are special indeed.

WIFI Connection can be sporadic.

The room is spacious and bed are very comfortable, pillows are good but a bit too firmly. The pool and all facilities are very good sizes and kids loved it. The pool’s stuffs are very helpful and friendly. The restaurant seat in the beautiful location, outside views are stunning in the windows.

Reception Stuffs are just ok but not willing to be patiently help first time visitors. I’ve booked with booking.com as the website shows breakfast includes but no options to choose, and showed the receptionist the site, she denied and couldn’t help why on the website but not reacting in my booking. The poor water temperature could be a little bit warmer. showers in the changing rooms or in the room are not warm enough too.
