Very comfortable, easy parking and check-in, and clean room. Shower was excellent and bathroom generally large and well maintained. TV was a nice bonus and location was excellent for exploring the village.

Nothing major, though if you're a light sleeper ask for a room away from the road, as you are right above it; not too busy (even overnight on the weekend) but worth knowing about. There was some noise from the pub downstairs, but minimal and ended early. Minor niggles: it would have been great to have some hooks in the bathroom to hang up towels, and there was no hand soap (though shower gel was provided).

The staff are so welcoming and polite. The food was fantastic. We stayed over night. The room was big, clean and modern.

The bathroom light is on a sensor and the door dis not close completely. If someone goes to toilet in night, you have the light filling up the bedroom space for a good 10mins.

The room was perfect for my needs. It was a spacious double room and I especially liked the fact that there was ample parking.

There was nothing I didn’t like, however, I felt the room would benefit from having a mirror.

The place had a great character with very nice and friendly staff. We enjoyed the drinks in the pub downstairs as well! Would recommend for non-fussy budget customers.

Small amount of extra cleaning effort would make a world of difference (dust, tea spoons, towels in hall)

Clean room in a very picturesque village with ample parking. They also let me in an hour early, which proved to be crucial.

Terrible WiFi and odd interior fabrics on beds (reminds one of an Indian restaurant). Light went out when I was in the shower because it's on a timer and the radar doesn't pick you up. Finally, I was brushing my teeth thinking all was well when some brown water gushed out the tap...Lived to tell the tale, though.

Stayed as my partner had a job interview in the area. Host was very welcoming and helped us get to the interview the next day. Pub served great food at a good price. All staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall one of my best booking.com experiences.

Room is in an annexe so quiet, pub has real ales and good food. Staff welcoming. Very convenient for the A2 yet in a quiet rural village.

Accommodation being updated, and shows.in places such as windows not fitting. Not an issue in summer though.

The accommodation had been renovated to a very high standard & was absolutely perfect for our stay. It would be even better if there were a toilet roll holder & some hooks in the bathroom, it’s probably on the to do list but this didn’t affect our experience. We will definitely make a beeline for this property when next in the area. We felt like we were on holiday rather than a one nights stay away from home for our work. We’ll done to The Darnley Arms & your Thai theme night menu in the bar area was absolutely spot on. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.
