Like its name suggests, the Halfway House was halfway between Worcester and Malvern, which was ideal for what we needed. The room was clean and very spacious and well stocked with tea, coffee and biscuits. There was also bottles of water, which were restocked during our two night stay. The cooked breakfast was delicious and there was also fresh fruit and cereal. What I really liked was the fact there were fresh strawberries, blueberries and grapes and not tinned/frozen which is often the case in many hotels.

If anything, outwardly the property looks a little tired, but we were more than happy with our stay as inside it was cosy (only 4 rooms) clean and very comfortable.

The room was really cosy, the bed was very comfortable and a decent bathroom as well with a power shower. Steve is an excellent host, and it shows that he wants you to get the best out of your stay. Breakfast in the morning was a great selection including full English, teas coffee etc and was great. The Swan pub at Newland did wonderful food, very good. Overall, a great stay. A brilliant night's kip on the way to Wales.

Some traffic noise if you were a light sleeper. Also google maps will take you left on entry to the place, go right.

Lovely big bed with crisp white bedding , not too hard like many other hotels but pleasantly soft yet firm. Everything was spotlessly clean including the ensuite shower room which had a walk in shower. Husband appreciated the honesty bar for a 'night cap'. Decent size TV for a B&B and a comfy couch in the room. We later discovered that we had to leave an hour before the breakfast was served as we had to visit an event which opened at 7.30. So had to wake the host in order to pay for our room and bar bill, who was gracious despite being disturbed so early on a Sunday morning.

We had room 1. It was of a good size and very clean as was the bathroom which had a good shower. The hospitality tray was well stocked and generous. Our room, which had air conditioning faced the busy main road but the double glazing was excellent and we did not notice any road noise. The breakfast offering included fresh fruit and a good full English breakfast. Parking was good. There was a honesty bar available which had a good selection of reasonable priced drinks. The owner was cheerful and helpful.

Ideal position for Malvern & Worcester. Ample parking. Twin room booked, nice & warm. Comfy beds, lovely large bathroom. Freshly cooked breakfast, choice of cerals & fresh fruit. Steven very polite & accommodating nothing too much trouble Didn't manage to have time to use the honesty bar, perhaps next time. Like to support independent businesses, will book again when visiting the area.

The dining area was a little sombre, perhaps some low volume background music, eg: local radio station.

Room very clean. Breakfast delicious and the perfect amount. Service very attentive but not in your face. Steve was a genial host and it was lovely having our own access with our own keys so we could enter and exit the property without bothering anyone else. Parking available too.

Needed a firmer pillow. My fault for not asking if one was available. On a main road so it was noisy from early morning to late evening. Our room was at the back and other guests, possibly staff, were walking right by our patio windows and could see in.

Rooms were well equipped, clean and a good standard matching the price. Breakfast was very good quality and a reasonable selection. Air con in the room was a nice surprise.

Hotel car park was probably the only point to raise as looking tired and area would benefit tidying up. Rooms priced fair to high. Maybe less of the freebie toiletries would give opportunity to reduce room prices?

Steve was very accommodating about any requests, and a gave us a warm and friendly welcome to the hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with a big bathroom. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and water were available in the room. Breakfast was beautifully cooked, and there were super fresh berries, yogurt, and grapes available too.

Sad to have only booked to stay one night!

This B & B is very well run, clean, comfortable,and serves a very good breakfast, there is an "Honesty Bar" as the establishment is licenced for the sale of alcohol, which is great if you just want a quiet drink in the evening in the residents lounge. Steve makes you feel welcome and runs an excellent B & B which we will return to next time we are in the area.

Traditional B & B in many ways but with mod cons like air conditioning, Smart TV, efficient WiFi, phone charge sockets, extremely comfy linen & towels, and (at least in the nice & spacious room I had) smart, modern but homely furniture and bathroom fittings.

Check-in deadline turned out to be 10pm – more than reasonable for a small B & B but this site said 10.30.
